My cousin, Soulcleave, likes this game. So I bought the main book and I may buy more Warhammer FRPG books in the future.
This game, besides ICE's Rolemaster, is very lethal. Character creation is different too, and you may choose to be human, dwarf, halfling, high elf, or wood elf. I might not run it, but I wonder who would be interested.

Which edition would it be (the current one is 4th, I believe)?
I have always wanted to learn how to play this game after watching Narrative Declaration's WarHams Fantasy campaign (GMed by Paizo's very own Thurston Hillman!).

Oh, I'm very interested in this one! Started a campaign as a player several months ago and it sorta fell apart quickly (we were playing online, not pbp) but I liked the concept a lot. Very dark and gritty, with almost everything about character creation determined randomly. You can get 'extra' rolls to mitigate the randomness, but if you accept the random rolls you earn extra XP. Pretty cool concept, I thought.
Anyway, yes, count me in if it goes. I've got the pdf of the rulebook as well.

Okay, it may depend on how many people actually respond to the interest check.

It would be fourth edition. I played the first edition before.

Great.
Sigh -- I wasn't planning on running a Warhammer adventure at all, since the game is as deadly as Rolemaster. I guess we'll have to start recruiting.
Rules: Follow the Character Creation guidelines in 4th Edition. Please note that you are constrained to five races: humans, dwarves, halflings, high elves, and wood elves. Orcs (sadly) are the enemy, and you can't play a skavin. If you roll it for your characters, you get bonus XP. However, I'd like you to play something you're comfortable with.
I'll accept 5 PCs for this Warhammer game. Since it's Christmas in July, I won't turn down "Christmas Presents" from drivethru.

Wow, they made a huge change since first and second editions. The core concepts are the same though so here goes. Unless something completely doesn't fit, I'm going 100% random.
- Race: 1d100 ⇒ 24
- Career: 1d100 ⇒ 29
So, looks like a Human Artist it is. I saw chisel listed on the trappings for the career... I'm thinking sculpture.
- Weapon Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 8) + 20 = 30
- Ballistic Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 6) + 20 = 36
- Strength: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (4, 2) + 20 = 26 +5 from Characteristic Advance
- Toughness: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (5, 4) + 20 = 29
- Initiative: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 2) + 20 = 32
- Agility: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 9) + 20 = 31
- Dexterity: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 8) + 20 = 30
- Intelligence: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (1, 10) + 20 = 31 +5 more from Savvy
- Willpower: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (5, 10) + 20 = 35
- Fellowship: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 3) + 20 = 25
Seems about average, overall.
- Animal Care - +3 (human)
- Art (sculpture) - +10 (artist)
- Consume Alchohol - +5 (artist)
- Cool - +10 (5 artist, 5 human)
- Endurance - +5 (artist)
- Evaluate - +8 (5 artist, 5human)
- Language (Bretonnian) - +5 (human)
- Lore (Reikland) - +3 (human)
- Perception - +5 (artist)
- Ranged (bow) - +3 (human)
- Stealth (urban) - +5 (artist)
- Doomed
- Savvy or Suave: 1d100 ⇒ 11 Savvy it is.
- Random 1: 1d100 ⇒ 67 Resistance
- Random 2: 1d100 ⇒ 26 Hardy
- Random 3: 1d100 ⇒ 8 Animal Affinity
- Artistic
Silver Shillings: 1d10 ⇒ 5
I think I can work with this. Likely won't stay an artist forever, but it will depend on the story I guess. I finalize this ideas and post something more later.

Huh, I'm sure that all looked fine before I posted it..?
Think I somehow did a cut and paste error somewhere, editing to delete some rolls screws it up further... sometimes my incompetence astounds me.
Hmm. ignoring the second race/career roll and set of characteristics it's fine. Or I can just start over...
I also realise I've missed Dex (sigh). Screw it - let's start over.

I had been holding off on this one since I'd already played through some of the proposed adventure. Assuming that isn't a problem with the GM I'll roll up though:
Species: 1d100 ⇒ 56 - Human (Humans are great: +20 xp)
Career Roll 1: 1d100 ⇒ 88 - Witch (Keep: +50 xp)
A witch isn't...what I'd been thinking of playing but that's interesting...
Weapon Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (4, 8) + 20 = 32
Ballistic Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (1, 10) + 20 = 31
Strength: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (7, 5) + 20 = 32
Toughness: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 1) + 20 = 31
Initiative: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 9) + 20 = 31
Agility: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (6, 1) + 20 = 27
Dexterity: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 10) + 20 = 32
Intelligence: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 9) + 20 = 39
Willpower: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (7, 1) + 20 = 28
Fellowship: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (1, 6) + 20 = 27
We'll try rolling again: (+0 xp)
Weapon Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (8, 10) + 20 = 38
Ballistic Skill: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (5, 4) + 20 = 29
Strength: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (3, 1) + 20 = 24
Toughness: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 1) + 20 = 23
Initiative: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (3, 2) + 20 = 25
Agility: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (9, 2) + 20 = 31
Dexterity: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 10) + 20 = 40
Intelligence: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (2, 10) + 20 = 32
Willpower: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (7, 6) + 20 = 33
Fellowship: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (8, 9) + 20 = 37
That array is very polarized, but that makes some sense for a Witch:
Weapon Skill: 33
Ballistic Skill: 24
Strength: 25
Toughness: 32 (+5 Very Resilient) -> 37
Dexterity: 23
Initiative: 31
Agility: 29 (+5 Lightning Reflexes) -> 34
Intelligence: 40
Willpower: 38
Fellowship: 37
Talent 1: 1d100 ⇒ 12 - Artistic
Talent 2: 1d100 ⇒ 29 - Lightning Reflexes
Talent 3: 1d100 ⇒ 94 - Very Resilient
Wealth: 2d10 ⇒ (7, 6) = 13
Age: 1d10 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
I think that's all of the rolling. I'll try to pull the rest together today.
