For pregens, I'm flexible, but I think I'm leaning toward the kasatha soldier.

I've heard some really good things about this one.

I'm leaning toward either the envoy or the technomancer, with a definite preference for the envoy.
BTW this concept for a game reminds me so much of the book Space Opera, whose plot I can roughly summarize as a glam-rock version of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Proposed first song, since this seems like a working class kind of place

Apologies to Dire Straits

Rockers of Stardock Lyrics
[Verse 1]
You get a shiver in the dark
It's raining in the park, but meantime
Down from the spire
You stop and you hold everything
A band is blowing Stardock Rock
Double four time
You feel alright
When you hear the music ring

[Verse 2]
Well, now you step inside
But you don't see too many faces
Coming in out of the rain to hear the Jazz go down
Competition in other places
Ah, but the horns, they blowin' that sound
Way on down low
Way on down low, Absalom Station

[Verse 3]
Check out guitar Zhane
He knows all the chords
Mind, it's strictly rhythm
He doesn't want to make it cry or sing
Yes and an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing
[Verse 4]
And Sem doesn't mind if she doesn't make the scene
She's got a daytime job – she's doing alright
She can play the Honky Tonk like anything
Saving it up for Friday night
With the Rockers
With the Rockers of Stardock

[Verse 5]
And a crowd of young boys
They're fooling around in the corner
Drunk and dressed in their best brown baggies
And their platform soles
They don't give a damn
About any trumpet playing band
It ain't what they call Stardock Rock
And the Rockers
Yeah, the Rockers, they play Stardock

[Guitar Solo - 3:20-4:13]

[Verse 6]
And then the man
He steps right up to the microphone
And says at last
Just as the time bell rings
"Goodnight, now it's time to go home"
Then he makes it fast
With one more thing
"We are the Rockers –
We are the Rockers of Stardock"

Apologies to "Men at Work" and Down Under

Station Downlow

Traveling in a fried-out Kombi
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said:
Do you come from Station Downlow
Where males plunder and females glow
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder
You better run, you better take cover

Buying bread from a man in Castrovel
He was six foot four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich
And he said:
I come from Station Downlow
Where ale and beer does flow
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder
You better run, you better take cover.

Lying in a den in Eox
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me?
Because I come from the land of plenty"
And he said:
Oh! Do you come from Station Downlow (oh yeah yeah)
Where males plunder and females glow
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder
You better run, you better take cover.

Oh! Do you come from Station Downlow (oh yeah yeah)
Where males plunder and females glow
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder
You better run, you better take cover.
Oh! Do you come from Station Downlow (oh yeah yeah)

Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder

Somebody To Love

Album: Disc: 2
Can... anybody find me somebody to love?
Each morning I get up I die a little, can barely stand on my feet
Take a look (Take a look at yourself)in the mirror and cry(yeah, yeah)
Lord, what you're doing to me
I have to spend all my years in believing you
But I just can't get no relief Lord
Somebody (somebody) oooh somebody (somebody)
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

I work hard (he works hard) everyday of my life
I work till I ache my bones, at the end (at the end of the day)
I take home my hard earned pay all on my own
I get down (down) on my knees (knees)
And I start to pray (praise the Lord)
'Til the tears run down from my eyes
Lord somebody (somebody) oooh somebody (please)
Can anybody find me somebody to love? (He wants help)

Every day - I try and I try and I try -
But everybody wants to put me down
They say I'm going crazy, they say I got a lot of water in my brain
Got no common sense, (He's)I got nobody left to believe
Yeah - yeah yeah yeah Oooh
Somebody (somebody)
Can anybody find me somebody to love?(Anybody find me someone to love)
Got no feel I got no rhythm , I just keep losing my beat
(you just keep losing and losing) I'm OK I'm alright (he's alright)
I ain't gonna face no defeat, I just gotta get out of this prison cell
One day I'm gonna be free Lord

Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
Find me somebody, find me somebody to love
Can anybody find me...
Somebody to love

Find me somebody to love, find me somebody to love
Find me somebody to love, find me find me find me
Find me somebody to love, Somebody to love
Find me somebody to love...
Find me, find me, find me

Apologies to the Eagles

Hotel Diaspora

On a dark lonely spaceway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel Diaspora
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel Diaspora
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here
Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Drift Engine
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain,
'Please bring me my wine'
He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here since Gap plus 305'
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the Hotel Diaspora
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel Diaspora
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device'
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
'Relax, ' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'

I still think "Rockers of Stardock" fits best with this crowd. A song about working class musicians doing gigs after work.

Based on the vibe I'm getting from the band writeup in the pregen handouts, I'm seeing Neon and Noqual as more 80s electronic rock instead of classic rock, but a bit of Dire Straits is probably perfect for this audience. I did a bit more tweaking to your lyrics Dwinite, and then was betrayed by a poor die roll :S

It's all good. I was doing quick and dirty conversions to the Starfinder universe on the lyrics, so they can definitely use some additional tweaks.

I don't necessarily follow music by genre, so I'll have to trust others as to how well some of this fits Neon & Noqual's vibe.

This one needs a little more work. I don't have a good replacement for And people say we monkey around. right now, but it could still be a good source for others to tweak.

Apologies to the Monkeys

Here we come, walkin'
Down the street.
We get the funniest looks from
Ev'ry one we meet.

Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We go wherever we want to,
Do what we like to do
We don't have time to get restless,
There's always something new.

Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We're just tryin' to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We're the young gneration,
And we've got something to say.

Any time, or anywhere,
Just look over your shoulder
Guess who'll be standing there

Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

(Break)
Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We're just tryin' to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We're the young gneration,
And we've got something to say.
Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
Hey, we're Neon and Noqual

Extra verse:
Hey, we're Neon and Noqual
You never know where we'll be found.
So you'd better get ready,
We may be comin' to your town.

My new car (was an Xmas present to myself) has spotify and I have been digging through all the cool 80's hair metal - really good fun tearing around listening to Warrant, Poison, Crue, LA Guns etc like it's 1987 all over again.

Oh 80's fashion........ Makes me laugh AND cry!

Hey, for the train robbery, is it 4 players or 6?
