Irizati then goes full defensive because not much else to do this round since I 5ft stepped.

Not sure where the scorpion is with a 45' range limit. I don't see anywhere you could put it where it would get that full attack unless you have not done that 5' step on the map yet. Could you place the icon as Silgil was considering a grease spell and does not want to get the scorpion in the spell's area and will cast something else if that is not possible.

Is each square 10 feet? I count 8 squares from my icon to the table I summoned the scorpion onto (It's large so there is wiggle room on the square anyway.) Would Grease reach the table?

45' is fine where it stands. I think think you can do a 5' step in the middle of a cast, but that shouldn't be an issue here.

Bah, it looks like I had a post eaten, so next round a bit extra things might happen, but I don't want to go and retcon the attacks and summons you have done so far. So there will be some GM hand wavery going on.

Grog moves up and swings at the strange creature.

Silgil moves to the top of the stairs and slicks (DC 17 grease) the ground underneath the many-armed monstrosity.

What's in the room?

Did 23 miss the grappled creature? If not it has a save vs poison to make.

Pietro eyes up another office, very much like the first one. The sounds of battle clearly echo up toward him.

Grog finishes off the Xill with a single mighty blow, its death cries boucing from the walls.

Of course life is never as easy as one would wish, as a couple of unfortunate things happen.

Firstly, a skeletal creature appears next to Irizati, lashing out at him.

The Scorpion attacks the tentacle grappling it.

Baloo also attacks a tentacle.

Meanwhile Irizati decides to remove the skeletal nuisance.

Silgil attempts to break the grapple and escape, to no avail.

@Grog While she is not invisible (any longer) she is the other side of a mass of writhing tentacles. So... yes you could see her... but she is not obvious.

Baloo and the scorpion rip through various tentacles, but still more try to grasp hold of them.

Irizati grabs hold off the sketinal creature but while his blows hit home, they don't seem to really hurt it. DR

Silgil tries to escape the tentacles, but without luck.

Grog moves out of the tentacles and stows his axe. move and move

"Silgil hang on!" He looks towards the woman. "You're next lady!"

Since Silgil cannot see the attacker, I used knowledge arcana. He actually has the black tentacles spell in his book and prepared. Would that give a bonus, because he missed by one, assuming that is the spell cast?

Grumbling, Pietro opens the door to the hallway to his left, and then moves through it like a big, fluffy chow through a bit of piping that is half its apparent size.

While technically that is a fail for the spellcraft, given you know it and have it memorised, I think it is safe to say that Silgil should be able to identify the effect without a roll. So he knows what he is facing.

Grog moves out of the field of tentacles. He discovers on the floor a badly mauled slave, who must have been being interrogated before your arrival. This one too has broken fingers...

Pietro heads toward the stairs.

She wiggles her fingers, but nothing obvious happens.

The skeletal creature, which while skeletal, is not a skeleton as such. The emaciated figure looks like a horned human skeleton smothered within a bone-tight hide of slimy leather.

Irizati realises that where he had a hold on it, the hide seems to have a fine sheen on acid on it.

Three reflex saves, DC 17 each. And yes he is grappled.
Held by Irizati it continues to lash out at him.

Silgil attempts to case Grease on himself

He does and he becomes rather slippery! (CMD is now 22, CMB to escape is 13). He makes it look easy but you try and cast a spell with butter as the material component while being smacked around and grasped by wiggling black tentacles!

Grog quick draws his bow and waits. ready an action to fire is she casts again

He shows his small fangs.

"Yeah lady...come across that pit and I'll interrogate your hide! Axe or no axe!"

Pietro continues his slow advance, while Silgil makes like a very happy pig.

Irizati continues to consider his options. Currently it looks like the immovable object fighting the irresistible force. Surely something will give at some point.

He encourages Baloo to go guard Grog for now so Baloo moves out of the tentacles.

Pietro discovers a slightly different room this time. It appears to be sometype of well-appointed meeting chamber that can comfortably accommodate six people.

Irizati burns as the creatures acidic covering eats into his flesh.

Finding the tentacles unable to grasp him any longer, Silgil rushes forward to see what the woman in red is up to.

Is she doing a full turn casting? Can Silgil tell what she is casting? Silgil will probably cast a magic missile spell and attempt to disrupt the spell if she is in the middle of casting.

She is indeed doing what appears to be a full turn casting, but he has no idea what spell it might be. Feel free to roll your magic missile should you choose to cast it.

Silgil looses a volley of magic missiles at the caster.

Which seem to hit an invisible shield in front of her, and are harmlessly absorbed.

If she wasn't mid casting, you get the feeling there would be a sneering comment coming from her.

Like a marshmallow being sucked through a straw Pietro moves to the door leading to the stairway down and opens it.

kn arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 to identify any other defensive spells active on the caster.

Irizati is feeling trapped so just double moves down and through the tentacles. Provokes.

Up to GM Aerondor but Grog might be able to convince Baloo to attack with a Handle Animal check as a move action.

The poor mindless scorpion is confused and unhappy.

Silgil would need to cast detect magic to analyse the auras for that. Showy spells are one thing but invisible defensive spells are quite another.

Silgil point in the direction his stubby little legs are carrying him.

"The bulk of the team is clockwise of us, but you would be obstructed by a pit and a plethora of grasping tentacles."

Silgil is about to say 'follow me', but reconsiders.

"THAT SOUNDS SUSPICIOUSLY RELIGIOUS, OFFICER SILGIL. I'LL ASSUME THE ONLY REASON YOU HAVEN'T ARRESTED THIS ILLEGAL SUMMONER IS THIS 'PIT AND PLETHORA OF GRASPING TENTACLES.'" says the secret cleric with all the authority of a Pure Legionnaire.

"FORTUNATELY I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE TAVERN SPORT OF DWARF TOSSING AND HAVE A FAIR ARM FOR IT, EVEN IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF. YOU WOULDN'T HAPPEN TO HAVE A POINTY HELMET YOU COULD DON? SOMETHING WITH A CHIN-STRAP PERHAPS? AT MY CURRENT STATURE I COULD TOSS YOU LIKE A DART--ANOTHER SPORT I AM QUITE FAMILIAR WITH. I'D LIKE TO SEE YOUR SUMMONER SUMMON ANYTHING WITH YOU HANGING OUT OF THEIR CHEST." Pietro smiles at the thought.

"You wouldn't dare," Silgil says with an outraged and challenging expression.

Grog tries to get Baloo to follow him, but Baloo is not Irizati.
I'm going to assume that Grog is just outside the graping tentacles. Going through it will mean they get a chance to grab you.
