Think about your character's history, motivation, and ideology. Then answer the following in this thread:

1. As a child how would you have described the "perfect" monarch?

2. The best part about having a system of nobility is....

3. The worst part of having a system of nobility is....

Don't forget that you need to make a post in the Gameplay thread for this game to show up in on your campaign tab. Make a post there of anything you want, but a physical description of your character would be a great help.

1. As a child how would you have described the "perfect" monarch?

Hensia, tell me the story about King Gerold again. Father took my brother on an errand and I'm bored.

My Lady, perhaps Miss Selvia would be more appropriate to entertain you. She is your governess. I have to get these chores done before the noon bell.

Please? You tell stories so much better than her and you do all the voices. I'll even help with the chores after the story.

Hensia smiled an indulgent smile at Ianthe and put her basket of linens down.

Alright, but why King Gerold?

He's the best king. He's brave and kind and loves his subjects. He listens to everyone around him, especially the queen. No one's opinion is unwelcome. He's never brash. He's above insults, never retaliating out of kind, and treats everyone fairly, whether they're noble or common.

Well, if only all our kings were so. Alright, sit down and we'll start.

Those in power can enact change quickly to address the needs of the moment. A singular, powerful individual can drive progress forward for the betterment of all.

3. The worst part of having a system of nobility is....

It empowers buffoons and incompetents to act out of malice without repercussion. It requires flattery and obeisance to those unworthy of it.
