Arrus isn't able to recall anything beyond what Omble already learned (failure on Recall Knowledge). Still, he takes careful aim at one efreeti in particular and looses a pair of arrows that both bury deep in the genie's fiery flesh (two successes). The flame wreathing his bolts seems to have no effect, but the bolts injure the creatures nonetheless. Looks like 37 total damage between the two, ignoring the fire.
Vayn, seeing Arrus standing so proudly on the furniture, says "Get down, you gauche commoner! That chair is worth more than you are!" He fires a beam of icy energy at the ranger, then retreats once again behind one of his efreeti guards.

"Ugh. Taldan scum, I wish you hadn't done that!" Suddenly, Arrus' bolt strikes the wall behind him as if it had never connected, and Vayn's wound seems to disappear, as if by magic!

Vayn's wish magic seems to invert this time, as what seemed like a miss is instead a devastating strike. Vayn gasps in pain as the bolt hits, but defiantly stands his ground. Hero point changes that from a miss to a crit.

Should have noted in my previous post, I also get bow crit effect.
If the target of the critical hit is adjacent to a surface, it gets stuck to that surface by the missile. The target is immobilized and must spend an Interact action to attempt a DC 10 Athletics check to pull the missile free; it can’t move from its space until it succeeds. The creature doesn’t become stuck if it is incorporeal, is liquid (like a water elemental or some oozes), or could otherwise escape without effort."

Vayn's eyes go wide as he hears the invisible Omble's voice right next to him. Before he can figure out where the threat is, Omble's blade slides between Vayn's ribs. As you rest and recover, you notice that Vayn's sword cane has several runes of power inscribed on it (+1 striking sword cane). You also find a spellbook on a nearby table; though it is badly damaged, part of it is still readable, including a section on an uncommon spell that creates a globe of protection around the caster that can prevent magic from harming them (contains the uncommon spell globe of invulnerability).
Moving down the long, ornate hall that leads away from the sitting room, you come into a massive ballroom with a domed glass ceiling. Hazy wisps of light float through the air, and a giant hemisphere of water occupies the center of the room. Several blue-skinned women in beautiful ball gowns dance with each other inside the water, and about ten frightened people dance with each other at the back of the chamber behind it.
One of the women in the water breaks off from the others and floats to the edge, her gown disappearing when it no longer suits her. She flashes a large, gregarious smile, and motions to join her in the water. “Oh, hello all of you! It’s so good to have new guests. May I have this dance?”
The hemisphere of water is 60 feet wide and 30 feet tall, filling the center of the room (see map). No one has attacked you yet, so you have time to react how you'd like. I'll roll identification checks on both for you, since we are not in combat.
