Diazepane- any chance Kal could talk you into making an extract of ablative barrier?

Unfortunately, Diazepane doesn't know ablative barrier.

I don't know how to buy formulas in PF1. If it's not too expensive and I can buy it, I'd be happy to. If you can buy a potion of ablative barrier, you can use alchemical allocation to not consume it.

barkskin, shield and the buff ones are solid choices...

You can buy a scroll or look at a wizards spell book- and copy it to your formula book- or you can purchase a formulea limbic and be able to deconstruct any potion to add it to your formulea book.

I would gladly purchase the scroll for you, so all you would need to cover is the scribing costs.

Ablative barrier is a weird spell- and for most wizards it is not worth while. Wizard/Sorcerer it is level 3, and so it takes away an opportunity for haste.

However, for alchemists it is a level 2 spell- but you still get all the benefits of the higher caster level (which you don't get from a potion).

BUT, coming from Diazepane:
Last 9 horus
5 HP from every attack would convert to NL damage, up to 45 HP.

That has 2 awesome advantages.
#1: When someone heals me, it heals twice the damage (lethal and NL)
#2: If I do get crushed by a creature, I fall unconscious but don't die

If I read this page correctly, it's 375 gp for a scroll, and based on this page, 40 gp to scribe it?

Consider it done. 415 gp is cheap at this level.

This is why I love my Order of the Shield Samurai. They can convert 1 HP per hit to NL. Not a lot but a nice little edge. He has DR, too so he just gets in the way and takes the hits then gets healed up on the cheap and repeats.

I've seen a paladin with ablative barrier using lay on hands to brush off loads of damage and keep on swinging.

A fey-touched paladin with ablative barrier is a pretty fantastic tank!

Sorry for going AWOL lately.

Work/Life got crazy for a little while.
We had my wife's 40th birthday.
We had a load of other delayed birthday things (here in the UK, lockdown has just been eased).
I was the busiest I have ever been at work: I'm a teacher whose students are all doing end-of-year exams. Due to COVID, the exams were all cancelled and replaced by teacher-assessed-grades. The exam boards did not explain how to gather, evidence and share these grades until very late in the metaphorical day. I have done so much marking and assessment, I've started dreaming about assessment criteria.

I should get back on track with all of my games over the next few days.

I have a kindergartener and what I've learned this year is that teachers generally know what they're doing but administrators often do not.

Trying to get her signed up for a summer program felt like solving the DaVinci Code while simultaneously surviving The Godfather.

Just as a heads up for the next campaign - I'm on vacation for two non-consecutive weeks in July. I don't usually have a problem keeping up as a player, but I might miss days now and again (and based on past experience, may have problems getting Google Slides to load/work). I'll be back full force in August.

Yeah...I heavily debated applying this one to one of my Grand Lodge characters or taking the Tanbaru boon. It did not help that I don't have any wizards and my witch already has a familiar that lets him get an otherwise illegal archetype.

In the end, I dropped it on my wayang psychic who's got a few levels to go before applying the chronicle and even more before he can take the feat tree to get improved familiar. But...at least he has his feats planned out, now.

I could run it but then I'd need a character who was eligible for a familiar (or had feats to burn).

I am surprised by how many chronicle sheets give out special familiars given how few classes are able to take familiars, easily.

yeahi would love to have a familiar for my aasimar sorc...but alas...such few opportunities...

Sometimes, when there are too many restrictions, they just become forgotten about and what was someone's work of content becomes untouched.
