PaleDim character option #1. Flavor wise, a very academic arcanist who likes putting his knowledge to work. Mechanically, uses quick-study to get the most out of his daily spell slots and handle unforeseen situations (a heavily loaded spellbook, and the extra reservoir feat multiple times to go the distance every day).

Hawthwile's first choice! I'll admit I'm not quite certain how to use him effectively yet, but he's great fun if you don't mind his constant rambling about twelve overlapping conspiracy theories. Profile hasn't been updated to lvl 4 yet.

Hawthwile's second choice! Who wants to hear the good word of Iomedae? That's right - you do. An evangelist cleric, so there's a bit of overlap with our bard's inspirational abilities - but I can use other abilities more heavily or possibly look at retraining his archetype. Profile hasn't been updated to lvl 5 yet.

Hawthwile's third choice! That chest can't be trapped if we blow the whole thing up, right? Trap Breaker archetype gives him some trap/lock disabling capabilities - though good luck understanding anything he says through all the stuff he keeps in his mouth!

Hawthwile's fourth choice. Most definitely inspired by Baby Groot. Profile has not yet been updated to lvl 5.

Joe Public sounds like a lot of fun, Hawthwile.
Psychics are basically Occult wizards, right?
The only PC I've got in 3-4 is Abdara, the Taldan noble bard. I find her dry, b!thchy humour a great outlet creatively, but if she becomes too much, please let me know.
I always look to the frontline when I play support characters. (First Tpk in PFS was due to 6 support+casters versus THE WORLD)
Aldar looks like a great start! :)

I've filled out most of the info in the slides. I'd like to buy some more spells for Ferdrin before the group heads out, but I haven't compiled the list yet.
GM, I presume we're using the rule where in a reasonably sized city he can copy spells from an NPC for the lower price (I think it's half transcription).

Yessir! Abdara can take it, but she can't give it! :)
Djpika, I just realised I ran Sky Key Solution for you, Numbat & Hawthwile.
That was a fun game.

OK. Level up complete. Still need to finish updating the PbP sheet and do some shopping.
I'll also see if my spouse will scan and email me the chronicle sheets so I can check boons etc.
I still have the Swashbuckler and the Magus but I think Raelene is where I am leaning if no one objects. Not much for direct combat but never hurts to have a healer handy.

Also, if anyone has specific spells they would like to have her prepare, please let me know.

Nice! Thanks again. I guess the forums are a small place as well. Is that a separate account for you though?

GM, here is Ferdrin's shopping list for before the party sets out. It seems reasonable to assume there could be some shopping in a major capitol city. Let me know if this is not the case.
Also, can I assume this blurb from the CRB is in effect?
In most cases, wizards charge a fee for the privilege of copying spells from their spellbooks. This fee is usually equal to half the cost to write the spell into a spellbook (see Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook). Rare and unique spells might cost significantly more.
Aboleth's Lung
Acid Arrow
Arcane Lock
Blindness/Deafness
Bull's Strength
Burning Arc
Cat's Grace

Of course. Do as much shopping as you wish.
And of course you can pay wizards to let you copy the spell and additionally pay the scribing cost.
Usually, I think most characters with spell books hope to be able to trade spells with fellow pathfinders to circumvent the fee for allowing access to the spell book.

Let's see. Five players have chosen PCs. Our current APL = 3.6, so we will be playing up in a scenario I have "heard" can be a tough one.
Our front line is a level 3 monk. I am a big fan of monks, but he is level 3.
On the plus side of the board, Hawthwile has chosen an alchemist, and being the experienced player that he is, I figure his PC will do wonders for our damage output.
We have a dedicated healer, a bard who 'specialises' in save-or-suck spells versus humanoids and an arcanist - that's some serious debuff/battlefield control.
I have gamed a lot with Hawthwile, and Numbat is a good friend IRL. I figure everyone is a fan of the strength of team work and so we all figure everyone has their back. That is HUGE in this game.
Finally, I like a challenge ;)
I say play who you want, djpika.
Aldar Latharian

I'm also definitely not optimized in any way on this build. I could change a few things to be far more optimized as a solo front line and still play something I like if you want.

djpika, if it makes any difference, if I GM the next game there will be 'space' for another squishy (depending on what noral & Hawthwile want to play ;)
@Numbat, I didn't realise the name change to Raelene to honour Sarenrae angle. Nice!
Also, I think the 'best' low level cleric spells are burst of radiance, liberating command + unbreakble heart, which you've got covered.

It's ok. Now that he's level 4 and picks up weapon specialization, his damage output may actually start to catch up. Besides, he's gotten more play as the "last class to be picked" more often than not. That was his M.O. at creation so why change that ;)

Day two of migraine. At least somewhat functional today. I will try to catch up soon.

GM Nowruz, Abdara will likely be over her little tantrum by the time she reaches the Trade Prince's estate.
Again, this is only acting in a 'less mission sensitive' part of the scenario. During combat and roleplay encounters she is professional and a team player.
Having said all that, if her behaviour is too much for anyone, please let me know and I'll tone her down.
I figured 'taxis' would be common in Qadira's capital city. Archives of Nethys has a cost of 3cp/mile per passenger in a coach-cab.
The average person walks at 3mph, so one hour gives a distance of 3 miles.
Please let me know if this is not OK.

@GM Nowruz
Raelene's standard operating procedure is to cast Mage Armor before any potentially dangerous situation. She is currently debating whether to cast it prior to the funeral. She expects most of the backstabbing to be figurative and financial but ...
Once activated, please let me know when/if I need to renew it. Thanks.

Noted the purchase on the appropriate slide.
Who is accepting the Touch of Glory? Which I would bestow just before we head into the event. I want to make sure I note their use. I have enough for everyone once per day.

This looks kinda-sorta like a Social Encounter with the various skills to impress various characters. Does that mean there's also the Discovery portion of the encounter where those of us who are... less people-oriented, shall we say, can still find something useful? Otherwise I fear it will be a long day for poor Brakkik... XD

That is a great question because that is usually the case Brakkik but in this scenario there are no discovery checks. But there is a favor system where you can aid the party by doing a favor and thus helping the whole party.
You receive information about the skills you can use. Below the complete rules from the scenario.

GAINING INFLUENCE
The Pathfinder Society’s primary goal during this adventure is to gain influence among the major guests in attendance at the wake. Throughout the adventure, the PCs have several opportunities to garner influence, impress their fellow guests, and earn the respect of several powerful merchants of the Inner Sea region. Early in the scenario, the PCs can use their knowledge and natural charm to win friends; however, later in the adventure the PCs’ can earn more influence only through their actions.
Whenever the scenario allows the PCs to attempt an Influence check, the character may select one NPC in attendance to try to influence. Each PC can attempt a Bluff check (to pretend to be friendly), a Diplomacy check (to be genuine), or a different skill check mentioned in the NPC’s social stat block to appeal to that character’s other interests. The PCs can focus their efforts by using aid another actions to assist each other on a target, or split up to cover more guests. The GM might grant up to a +4 circumstance bonus on a PC’s check for particularly good roleplaying.
Each NPC’s social stat block below indicates two different values for the character’s Influence check DC, which indicate the DCs that must be met or exceeded for
In addition, several NPCs have a favor they might request when a PC is trying to earn Influence Points. A PC can attempt to perform this task before attempting a check to influence the NPC. If he performs the task successfully, all of the PCs gain a +5 bonus on checks made to influence that NPC for the rest of the scenario.

Do we have any sense if Bluff/Diplomacy and the additional skill are equally as difficult?
Does Jakti show any indication of specific religious interest?
Do we have a sense of how much time we have available to chat up the guests and possibly meet their requests?

The DC is the same.
Does Jakti show any indication of specific religious interest?
A DC 10 kn religion shows that he is wearing the colors of Sarenrae.
Do we have a sense of how much time we have available to chat up the guests and possibly meet their requests?
No, unfortunately not.
