Hrm this reminds me I need to update Scratch from that chronicle tonight...
Hi everyone. I'm also looking forward to another fun adventure and character building of Scratch.

Whew. Things have been ROUGH lately. Looking forward to another adventure with y'all!
Yes. The world is exceptionally heavy. I've been battling depression pretty severely the past few days. Today I got out on my bike and I think that helped.

Yup, do some self care. Exercise, extra sleep, read a book, post some dnd, anything. Take care of yourselves, not just others. Keep that brain happy and healthy.

I'm so glad that helped! Fresh air/moving outside does wonders for me, too.
I was visiting family last week for the first time since the pandemic, and it was so good for me!
Yay!!! That's excellent. My family is in WI & MA (I'm in OR) and I'm daydreaming about a 6,200-mile road trip to go see them, but it'll have to wait at minimum til those 15-min self tests are more readily available so I can be certain I don't pick anything up on the road. :( Really glad zoom calls exist in the meantime!

Sorry, I realized I should have asked: Have any of you played this adventure before? If so, do you want to send me a PM with details of your run, so I can try to make sure this is a unique adventure for you.
I have played this. I messaged you at the beginning of August. :)
| GM Hmm |
I GMed this once. Motteditor, would you like my maps? I did a VTT with Google Slides.

LOL.

Nope, I haven't played or GMed this one, Mott. In fact, I haven't even read it *GASP*
Random comment: My daugther loves Zig so much she made her first PFS2 character a helpful goblin named Zig. She'll be so happy to hear he makes his return so soon.

Where did Zig appear before?
Same question.

LOL.:)
I haven't yet done enough of it, but Scratch very much the old crazy hermit woodsman type that forages for most of his food. Eating many things some people would consider questionable. (Something I can sometimes relate to.. the eating odd foraged things that is.) A story about my father and I trying to 'harvest' a raccoon for my great grand father when I was in middle school spawned the line.
There was a mixture of raccoon blood, my father's blood and a week long stay in the hospital for my father with a mystery illness. Unfortunately, also no raccoon supper for my great grand father at the end of it. Oh, and a very irate mother of mine.

Great story, though!
That whole post cracked me up. I really appreciate Scratch's crotchety personality. :)
It's difficult to make a character crotchety and lovable at the same time, but you've done it.

Question: can you guys see this red X? ❌
Teki Stronggut

GM, I now have a glyph that I can assign as a hero point to someone else. I realize that I should have assigned it to someone at the start of the game. Do you want me to roll randomly for who gets an extra hero point?
1d5 ⇒ 1
Alphabetically, it would have fallen to Loola.
Hmm

Indeed! Watch out Apsu, Teki is coming for Loola's devotion.

You know gang, this kind of thing is what hero points are for. Make those skill challenges!
Good point.

I'm going to award a Hero Point to Loola for her callback to the previous goblin performance. And one to Teki for her great song!
(Also, I realized Sandstone hasn't posted yet in this game. I've sent him a message to make sure he's aware. Hopefully he'll post today. If not, we may have to continue without him.)

I messaged him on Facebook. He's on his way.

@Teki I think I am going to give Loola the Blessed One archetype. It is exactly what I was looking for (to make her more paladin-y, like Juniper). Can you please have Teki help her roleplay that?

We can have lots of theological discussions. This will be fun, because Teki's and Loola's worldviews are so entertaining.
I was just excited about the archetype because Blessed One does not itself require worship of a god. I didn't want the confusion of Teki worshipping one god while trying to become one herself.
(Yes, I know that Iomedae worshipped Aroden before she crossed over... But that's Iomedae's route, not Teki's. Teki needed to have a sense of herself not tangled up in someone else's deity.)

Hi people, and thanks for your patience! In case you're curious: (a) Since I'm back to teaching in earnest, this slipped my mind until Bloo messaged me, and then (b) yesterday we had a large windstorm that knocked out power / internet for lots of people across the city. Fortunately my power never went out (for more than about five seconds, anyway), but my internet was down until just this morning.
Anyway, I'm excited to continue our adventures together!

Hi all, I'm so sorry for going dark with no notice! I had a frantic deadline to meet on Tuesday, the same or a similar windstorm as Sandstone (I did lose power for about 5 hours), and now I'm on the border of the fire evac alert zone in Portland. Please feel free to bot me as needed and I'll try to keep up this week as best as I can!

Stay safe in Portland, Tess!

(Also damn, this one's a little close to home... Current air quality is "worse than the scale is even built to show" from all this smoke!)
Spokane is right behind you. We are still on the air quality chart, but only barely. I've been practicing holding my breath.

Hi everyone!
Sorry for my absence and thanks for your patience. There was an error with Paizo’s website that wouldn’t let some folks who were signed out, sign back in, but its been fixed and I’m back online now. If I have any further problems in the future, I'll let you know again @mott

Weird. My family and I couldn't log in at all. Not on any device in the house, any browser, any operating system, with or without cookies, cleared caches, etc. etc. Nothing. No entry.
