Namza will move to see them, then Recall Knowledge, then cast shield.
Arcana: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

![]() |

Frogger hops up to get closer to the wooden/metal constructs. With a flick of his wrist, he starts speaking some words. From his fingertips, a vine shoots out and lashes on the target.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Tanglefoot: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
One action move. Two actions to cast Tanglefoot on the Red one.

Kyra Lv3 |

Kyra moves up to get a good look as well. Seeing that the closest creature is well and truly tangled, she targets the one further back. Acrobatics only for the blue parts of the map, right? Or here as well? "Suppression system or no, these look like they will burn for at least a little bit." She casts Fire Ray on the green one.
Fire Ray: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Damage (fire):: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 1) = 15

![]() |

I'm not certain people moved into a valid square for targeting. If that door actually is open, I could have take a different path (that is blessedly after all the fire) that doesn't involve the fissure.
Iniquity moves around the central pillar toward the opening in the wall and then positions himself for a running start.
Stride, Stride, Stride
Reaction: 1st ally damaged by an enemy gains Resistance 5 to that damage or enemy is enfeebled 2, enemy choice. Range 15 ft (so I don't think it will come up this round)

![]() |

@Kyra- Only if you leave the stairwell room for Acrobatics checks.
Frogger leaps directly into the path of the doorway as vines leap from his hands. They completely cover and immobilize the wooden construct as it seems stuck in place.
Fangor moves around the side of the wall and tosses flames into the room from the safety of the stairwell. the fire scatters across the frame, scorching its surface. He then quickly loads his bow and sends an arrow into the wood, chipping off a small piece.
As the flames illuminate the room the sprinklers overhead spray a frozen mist down upon the vicinity. Luckily you are all in the stairwell and found unharmed by the frozen contents.
Cold Damage: 2d10 + 7 ⇒ (5, 7) + 7 = 19
Red Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Green Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
The constructs also seem as if it doesn't affect them much at all as frozen rime clings tightly to their joints. Kyra sends flames into the room as well as they splash out against the immobile enemy. The fire system seems to need a moment before it recharges.
Namza tries to recall what these are exactly and draws a blank as he scratches the tips of his mind's knowledge.
Iniquity Pen uses the gap found in the rooms wall to look over the small fissure as he watches the strange creature's reactions.

Javelin @ Range: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 2 = 11

Orin hurls a javelin into the room. It passes by wide as it clatters loudly against the floor.

Red Escape DC 19: 1d20 + 12 - 10 ⇒ (1) + 12 - 10 = 3
The wounded construct has quite the difficulty freeing itself as the vines begin to deteriorate on their own regardless. The secondary wooden construct shambles towards the doorway. It holds it's fingertips out as flames leap out from them, washing over Kyra and Frogger.
Burning Hands (Fire) (Kyra and Frogger): 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 2) = 13 DC 20 Basic Reflex

My Fire Ray was on the green one, not the immobilized one.
Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Failure -> 13 damage
Kyra recoils from the fire, clutching her holy symbol tight in her left hand. "Sarenrae, cast your blessing upon us so we may get through this. Let your holy light show the way so we may strike true!" She casts Bless and draws her scimitar to prepare for close combat.

![]() |

Namza will gesture and release an electric arc on the constructs.
Electricity: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11DC 19
He'll then move back out of the blast zone.

![]() |

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Critical Failure. Take 26 points of damage.
Frogger recoils from the burn, but continues on. He yells to Orin and Iniquity. "Do either of you want to become huge?" Frogger can cast Enlarge on either of you but wants permission first.
"Maybe if I can trip one, it wont burn me again."
Two action Grease. Four squares with Green in Southwest corner. Green must make DC 19 Reflex/Acrobatics or fall prone.
Arcana check to ID: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

Orin responds to Frogger "Ya, then maybe I can reach without fallin' on my ass in that ice!"
Orin spends his time trying to identify the constructs.
crafting: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Orin then moves over to Frogger and tries to patch up his wounds.

![]() |

Isn't Redeemer either A: no damage, or B: DR and enfeeble?

![]() |

@Kyra- Thanks, have it fixed.
@Orin- That is correct for the Redeemer
Frogger drops a bit of grease on the floor, unsure exactly what to do with such a strange contraption.
Green Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
The wooden construct stands firm. Kyra blesses her group as she draws her bright scimitar. Orin is also quite perplexed but what the construct is as Frogger's wounds begin to feel much better with the dwarf's bandages.
Green Reflex DC 19: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Red Reflex DC 19: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
A sharp snap of electricity arcs across the gap as the wooden smolders from the strike. Iniquity leaps across the gap as his sword cleaves into the frame, cracking it.

You're right! My champion sits on the shelf a lot... and apparently only fights constructs.

![]() |

@GM did my first flame strike hit the creature? Reading your description it seems not ;-)
Fangor, hides to surprised the creature then calls again for Razmir's Fire to burn the creature.
May the Inner fire of the Living God Burn you to the ground!

◆ Hide
◆◆ Cast Flame Strike

![]() |

@Fangor- It did hit. By frame I meant the frame of the construct. Also keep in mind that that Hide has the secret trait.
Fangor hides around the corner of the wall and completely blasts the scorched construct. The force is so much that the construct is blow to pieces that scatter across the floor. This sets off the extinguisher system once more.
Cold Damage: 2d10 + 7 ⇒ (5, 5) + 7 = 17
Green Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
@Iniquity Pen- needs a DC 20 Basic Reflex against the cold damage from the extinguishing system.
The cold covers the construct as Iniquity Pen gets coated as well. A jet of water cascades into Kyra from the creature's other arm.
Hydraulic Push vs Kyra AC 19: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
The jet of water arcs up as it seems caught off by the force. It strikes the ceiling soaking those within the stairwell instead.

Kyra Lv3 |

Not wanting to step onto the ice, Kyra holds her position. She concentrates for a moment, extending the radius of Bless, then readies an action to Strike with her scimitar if an enemy gets into her reach. Strike: 1d20+8+1, Damage: 1d6+2

![]() |

If we're going in initiative order, as you've done in the past, should not the extinguishers go off before Iniquity leaps into the room?

![]() |

Reflex vs. DC20: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Critical Fail
Iniquity cries out, "Why!?"
He makes a gesture beseeching Shelyn for assistance and then tries to move toward the remaining foe, but spends his time slipping his feet in place on the ice.[/dice]

Namza moves up into the radius of Kyra's spell, casts true strike and uses hand of the apprentice.

for slashing: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

![]() |

@GM I wasn't sure, that's why I've asked ;-) Thanks!
Fangor concentrates and cast a spell on Frogger.
May the Living God offering you Life!
Heal (1): 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
It seems that Razmir answers Fangor's prayer as Frogger is healed.
Deception vs Onlooker DC: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Then he draws a scroll.
◆◆ Cast Heal (1) - 2 actions

Yes, you are correct iniquity. Thanks. I posted that on lack of sleep and illness last night. :) So you will have 1 action remaining.
Fangor tends to Frogger's wounds to try and keep the pair on their feet. Kyra extends her blessing out further as she concentrates. Namza's axe magically twirls through the air, sinking deep into the wooden frame.

Oh. Feel better. :(
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Ow!" the thespian turned warrior-adventurer falls on his tail in a most inglorious fashion.

![]() |

Was hoping to wait for Frogger but will post now.
Orin draws his last javelin and with the benefit of bless chucks it at the remaining construct.
javelin: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Orin then draws his pick.

![]() |

I wrote something out a while ago, but looks like it didn't post...
Frogger quickly thanks Fangor. Then with a flick of his wrist, wind starts blowing from his hand.
Cast Gust of Wind. Trying to aim through the construct. It must make Fortitude save (DC 19). [/url]
Frogger then pulls out a javelin from his backpack
[ooc]Action to pull out of his bag.

![]() |

Fort Save DC 19: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
The construct seems to be immobilized as each movement it makes is stopped by a strong gust of wind. Orin doesn't seem to be having much luck at all with his javelins.
Not able to move the wooden arm continues to spray concentrated jets of water from the limb.
Hydraulic Push vs Kyra AC 19: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
The water sprays into the wind with little effect.

Iniquity plants the butt of his glaive and groans with embarrassment as he heaves himself back up. Letting go of his pole-arm, he draws a bow and fires at the construct.
Stand, Draw a Weapon, Strike
Composite Shortbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
P: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Kyra Lv3 |

Seeing that the construct doesn't seem to be moving anytime soon, Kyra stows her scimitar, draws her sling and lets loose a shot.
Sling: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
Damage (bludgeoning): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Fangor seeing that only one enemy is left and his comrades not in real danger, calls for his heritage to strikes the last creature.

◆◆ Cast Electric Arc

![]() |

Frogger, looking at his companions shoot electricity at the thing, thinks: "I want to do that too."
Electric Arc (DC 19): 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9

![]() |

The afterimages dancing in his field of vision after the electrical assaults are clearly to blame for his abysmal aim, at least, that's what he would tell anyone who asks.

![]() |

Reflex Save (Frogger Elec Arc): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Reflex Save (Fangor Elec Arc): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Reflex Save (Namza Elec Arc): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
A trio of electric arcs snap out of the room all at once. The construct convulses as the wooden frame bursts into flames from the surge. It topples to the ground in a heap. The extinguishing systems sends down another blast of frigid air, putting the fire out on the blackened form.
Moving carefully through the chamber, making sure not to set off anymore fires. You find a collection of clockwork tools, shattered aeon stones and rotting piles of vellum fill the shelves in this crowded workspace. Large metal panels removed from the facility’s walls lie in the center of the room; etched into these panels are meticulous blueprints for a wayfinder identical to the one Muesello lent Iniquity Pen.
A signature on each panel reads “Preserver.” The wayfinder is synced with a global tracking spellform. It confirms 337 active tracking units.
Records in hand, you return to the Kingfisher. Muesello, thrilled by the discoveries, awards each of you. "This is an amazing discovery. I promise to give you lot first opportunity when we set out to obtain the next generation of these wayfinders."
That is the end of the quest. I hope you all enjoyed it and will get your chronicles out to you this evening.

Kyra Lv3 |

"I don't really understand all of this, but it does seem like a neat thing we discovered here! It has been an honor to work with all of you."
Thanks for running, and thanks to all the players. Very enjoyable experience. :)

![]() |

Very interesting ending. The quests have been neat teases of future scenarios.

![]() |

They certainly have. this one is repeatable so gives a little bit of new information with each of the three different endings

![]() |

Quite interesting indeed... says Fangor after Musello make a review of their findings.
Yes, It was an honor to work with you all. May the blessing of the Living God be upon you ... my friends.
As usual, I very much enjoyed this run! Thank you all :)
