Narl the White Pilgrim
If his role tells him he can cast Command Undead successfully on this zombie like creature he will DC:17
"Come hither friend we shall enjoy your company. Everyone with me are allies and you will listen to their commands as well as mine. You will die to protect myself and them."
Dungeon Monkey
Narl’s keen necromantic eye confirms Jakun’s assessment- this creature is indeed a garden-variety zombie. Narl can sense the low-level of necromantic energy it possesses and its lack of intelligence. Narl does note that someone has tried to take some pains with this zombie. Its body has been drained of fluids, and embalming fluids have been injected into it. Narl can smell their distinctive resinous odor. However, the humid tropical climate and dampness of this subterranean tunnel complex have not done this creature any favors. It crawls with insect larvae. Soon it will be time to flense it down to a skeleton.
Lets get the Command Undead out of the way - if it works combat is done
Zombie Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
sorry
Jakun Stormhoof
Round 1
As Narl fails to overcome the will of the thing, Jakun exits from his defensive posture and attacks with his quarterstaff.
Melee Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 - Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Norveg:Pending
Nahuatl Ti: Pending
Jakun notices that the blow he deals the zombie doesn't seem to bother it in the slightest. 13 Spider raises his turquoise and gold flying serpent pendant to the thing
Channel energy - 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6
The thing withers somewhat
The large zombie snarls and swipes a rotting paw at Jakun
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 82d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10
Taishe Jinlong
The kobold raises an eyebrow ridge at Narl's apparent failure to control the zombie.
"Ah. Not to worry. Happenss to all. Sso One iss told."
Taishe readies his club and assumes a defensive posture. He will not be rushing into the undead's embrace! The kobold allows his larger, more warrior-like companions to move in, and stands ready to assist if needed.
Narl the White Pilgrim
"Hmm, That is strange I think perhaps that was a different more powerful breed of zombie perhaps some enchantment to increase its ability to ward off control or something. I will need to take a look closer at it once we deal with the creature."
Narl says matter of factly almost scratching his head at the same time.

The zombie lurches about, looking rather ragged
We do have some pending, but some might have dropped from the game. I'll figuer out a way to bump the narrative if needs be
Nahuatl ti
Nahuatl ti steps forward, striking out at the wounded zombie.
Spear: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Piercing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Jakun Stormhoof
Round 2
Jakun swings with his quarterstaff once more!
Melee Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 - Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
But his swing only smashes the floor...
Taishe Jinlong
The kobold takes a breath for courage, and steps up behind the zombie, swinging at it with his club,...
Attack! Including Flanking: 20 + 7 = 27
OH YEAH! POssible crit!, Dmg for normal attack: 1d4 ⇒ 1
BLEAH! Trying for crit confirm,...
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
I think that does it? But 2X 1 is only 2 dmg.... so still BLEAH! ;P (Unless you want me to roll for dmg again for the crit dmg? I dont crit enough to always recall how it works)
Narl the White Pilgrim
Narl will investigate the body of the bugbear taking a look to see what sort of difference it might be from previous zombies he has seen. Especially since it was able to shake off his command undead.
I know it just saved but to Narl he certainly feels as though to shake off his magic it must be different

Give me a K(Arcana) or if you have any trained necromantic skills I'll take those rolls too
Dungeon Monkey
Narl notices that this undead shows signs of necromantic strength. It is exactly why he had traveled to Opal and Mazatil in the first place. The tales of empowered undead, of ..SPONTANEOUSLY CREATED undead had fascinated him. The things flesh might be crawling with larvae, but it has a ...solidity.. that Narl rarely saw in animated corpses
Taishe Jinlong
Taishe steps up beside Jakun and peers down the hallway.
"Hallway. Possibly trapped. Very dangerouss. You go first."
The kobold looks up at Jakun, his face splitting into a draconic grin.
"One think perhap he iss getting hang of Tall Folk humor. Very entertaining."
Taishe pats the minotaur on the leg, and carefully moves into the hallway, peering right and left as he slowly makes his way down,...
Per (to find traps): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Jakun Stormhoof
Jakun chuckles at Taishe's jest, "We Minotaur find the best way to disarm traps is to set them off, of course, most of my Kin are much more physically formidable than I am. Traps are designed to slay the weak, I am the weakest of my own kind that I have ever encountered..."
