The thug looks confused

"a wha?"

Male Human Necro - Necrophagy 3rd, Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +4, Init: +4; Perc +4

Catching on with what his companion is saying he smiles.

"Why yes I believe he would make a wonderful undead minion for the group."

Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The thug looks even more worried, looking at the foppish albino

just dotting quick. I have to reconstruct the map

last iteration of the Map

Basically your only way forward is that tunnel to the SE

Oh yeah, past L19 area.

Taishe waits for the thug to respond. Or for his companions to question/threaten the thug some more. Or Both. Or Neither.

When the Kobold gets bored (it doesn't take long sometimes) He cautiously explores the other branch of the tunnels to the SE, ...

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Per (spot traps +1): 20 + 10 = 30
Nat 20 on Per: thats a 31 to spot a trap if the nat 20 doesnt do it

Bribes always welcome

Taishe goes down the damp corridor cautiously, coming to another well-kept teakwood door. This one is slightly ajar, likely because the lotus dragon members had run through it. He can see recent footprints indicating a rapid passage through this area. He peeks around the door and sees a circular room exactly the same size as the last room they passed through See on map. There is a door on the western side of the circle, and a rope ladder leading upwards into the ceiling shadows

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe returns to the others and relates what he saw.

"One found another room, like lasst round room. Another door, and rope ladder to above. Another esscape hatch."

"So what will it be? Surrender or serve him for an eternity?" Nahuatl ti asks the thug in an almost bored tone.

The thug suddenly looks less confused

“If you wants ta go see Rowyn, I can tell you the way. The room master kobold just visited has a secret door in the south wall. You can open in by pushing a stone about a meter up from the floor - looks like a triangle. You take the passage there to a t junction- go right, then take your first left door. Go through two more doors, around a bend in a tunnel to the right and a door to the left. That brings you to the training hall. Like to be a few guild members there. There’s only one other door in the room. That one leads into the elite territory area. Rowyn will be there like as not”

Male Kobold Investigator1

The afore-mentioned 'Master Kobold' makes little motions with his clawed hands as he goes over the thugs' directions. He nods once when he is satisfied he has them memorized.

"One will check for traps. Leave him tied and gagged. If he told truth, we can deal with him on way out. If he lied,... we can deal with him on way out,..."

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

”Any more traps we should expect along the way?” Tragon asks the thug.

The thug shakes his head

“Nah, we go in for secret doors more than traps. Traps end up catching the wrong people, especially after a night of rum, if you catch my drift”

Male Kobold Investigator1

"Indeed." is all Taishe says before moving forward.

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

As the party proceeds, Tragon holds up the chain shirt we found. ”Can any of you tell what’s special about this?”

I could use a Spellcraft roll from someone!

Male Kobold Investigator1

Sorry, the ONE (or 2nd?) PC I've made in 18+ years that DOESN'T have Spellcraft! ;P

Soon as I update, I think Taishe now has the ability to make ALL skill checks untrained! :)

Male Minotaur - Wizard 3 (T) - HP 26/26 | AC= 12 | CMD = 14 | Init +10 |F - +4|R - +3|W - +3|Per + 2/+4 || Hero P 1 +2 Perception & Sense Notice when Kossel w/in 10'

Jakun ties up the man and places a gag in his mouth to keep him quiet.

The Minotaur inspects the chain shirt, Spellcraft 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14. Let me know what I know DM!

Before they head up the last hallway, he uses another charge from the Wand to re up his Mage Armor - current AC = 16.

Bribes always welcome

Just for expedience sakes - the chain is +1 glammered. It can assume the look of street clothing

The party troops down to the room that Taishe scouted See above. The thug points to the southern wall and pantomimes how to open the secret door he had mentioned. If asked, he opens it for them. The door swings open to reveal another hallway. Taishe thinks he has seen this hallway before! If he is not confused, this was the ‘dead end’ hallway he glanced down off the hallway that had led to the barracks room they had stormed prior to encountering Kersh and the crocodile

Male Kobold Investigator1

"Hm. All thingss come full circle." the kobold says sagely.

Male Human Necro - Necrophagy 3rd, Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +4, Init: +4; Perc +4

Narl takes a look at any of the items the team has.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Jakun follows Taishe, "So it seems. Shall we follow the way the thug stated and rendezvous with their leader?"

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

Tragon nods. ”We have to press on. We won’t get a second chance at this place.”

Male Human Necro - Necrophagy 3rd, Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +4, Init: +4; Perc +4

"I agree Tragon. We should press while we have an advantage. Oh and you should certainly use this armor it is magically enhanced and it can be made to look like normally clothing as well."

He then casts prestidigitation upon himself to clean up his clothing and make himself more presentable.

Then splashes some water upon his face as well. "Looking around he says. I was always told you never have a second chance to make a good first impression so one must always look their best."

Male Kobold Investigator1

"Hm. Very True." The kobold nods in agreement with Narl.

After swiftly rubbing a brush over his own scales, the kobold nods his readiness to proceed.

Male Human Necro - Necrophagy 3rd, Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +4, Init: +4; Perc +4

Narl looking at his friend smiles and casts prestidigitation upon him as well.

"There you go my friend as good as new."

He smiles a good hearted smile. "Well off we go to meet new people and potentially kill them."

Bribes always welcome

The thug looks at the rope ladder in the room they are leaving

“So, care to let me scarper? I swear, I’m dust in the wind. I’m on the next caravel off the docks”

Free or carry him along?

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe looks at the thug, his reptilian face implacable. The kobold blinks once. Then looks at his companions and shrugs.

"Wisse humanoid once ssaid, 'He who learnss from hiss misstakess is Wisse indeed. He who repeatss hiss misstake iss foolish, and desserving of conssequencess,...' "

Taishe's eyes flick back to the thug as he finishes the second half of his statement.

The kobold makes a tiny 'shooing' motion with his claws.

"Go. And be wisse."

Male Human Necro - Necrophagy 3rd, Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +4, Init: +4; Perc +4

"Ahhh, I wanted a traveling butler. You are lucky my friend here is so forgiving " He gives the thug a wink. Then he turns serious. "Should we run into you again I will not be convinced to be as forgiving." Then he turns to a smile. "Now off you go you little rapscallion."

Male Minotaur - Wizard 3 (T) - HP 26/26 | AC= 12 | CMD = 14 | Init +10 |F - +4|R - +3|W - +3|Per + 2/+4 || Hero P 1 +2 Perception & Sense Notice when Kossel w/in 10'

Jakun frowns but unties the man his eyes narrowing as the man climbs the rope ladder.

Bribes always welcome

The thug swarms up the ladder and is out the trap door in a matter of moments. The group returns to their exploration. They head down the hallway and come across the small guardroom and the entrance they came in prior. It seems the bosses were south and they went north!

The door to the training room the thug mentioned appears. It is closed. There doesn’t appear to be any noise beyond

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe peers at the door closely, as if near-sighted. He strokes his tendril-whiskers thoughtfully as he does so,...

Perception: (Detect Traps): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Taishe doesn’t hear anything. The door seems untrapped

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe steps back, and looks at the others. Particularly the larger Tragon and Jakun.

The kobold bows slightly.
"After you."

Male Half-Orc Fighter (Corsair) 2/Barbarian 1

Tragon moves in and opens the door.

Bribes always welcome

Tragon opens the large teak door. It opens smoothly, its hinges oiled like most of the others they have gone through. Beyond it is a large shadowy room tricked out as an exercise area. There are various thick woven mats lining the floors and walls, obviously designed to prevent injuries.

Throughout the room are a number of manikins. Some have the look of sparring partners with battered arms and armor on. Some have coats with many pockets and multiple bells sewn on. Some are festooned with multiple chains on which are multiple padlocks.

On the western wall there is a wooden stage about a foot high off the floor. A padded throne like seat sits atop the stage, surrounded by potted plants

Actions?

Male Kobold Investigator1

Taishe peeks around the door, peering through and trying to make sure that none of the apparent 'training dummies' are actually criminals in disguise!

Per: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Spoiler:
stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Taishe is not sure, the shadows are thick in this room. Did a manikin twitch or was it a trick of the light? Jakun has no doubts. He sees one of the practice dummies shift position ever so slightly

Male Minotaur - Wizard 3 (T) - HP 26/26 | AC= 12 | CMD = 14 | Init +10 |F - +4|R - +3|W - +3|Per + 2/+4 || Hero P 1 +2 Perception & Sense Notice when Kossel w/in 10'

DM is it close enough for me to Color Spray it? If so, I'm just going to go ahead and do it!

Color Spray! 15' Cone Shaped Burst. Will Negates. As Applicable 2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8 - 1d4 ⇒ 2

Effects:
A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from your hand, causing creatures to become stunned, perhaps also blinded, and possibly knocking them unconscious. Each creature within the cone is affected according to its HD.

2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

If it's too far away, I will hit the "dummy" with a Magic Missile.

Magic Missile - 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 2 = 4
