Jakun will move into the hallway, he will cover the hall coming from the other direction, to ensure no foes try and flank... readying a spell, Color Spray.

Having been startled at the appearance of the wolf, Taishe is not his usually swift-reacting self.

The kobold covers his snout with a clawed hand, waiting as the other, mostly taller folk step over and around him, trying to engage the threat.

(WHO keeps WOLVES inside?!? Taishe makes a mental note to have a word with the jerk in charge when they find him. Several words, actually.)

TAishe will wait his turn (LAst) and hope that his small size and squeezing next to the wall will allow everyone who wants to can pass him by.

Tragon moves past Taishe to attack the wolf.

Narl will start to move up his staff in hand looking to at the very least allow for Tragon to have a flanking for his attack.

If he can he will try to cast a ray of enfeeblement upon the wolf.

Taishe scuttles under the towering Tragon's legs and moves back to allow others their shot. Tragon's cutlass slash is hampered by the close quarters. The same goes for Narl's ray, which ricochets off the damp brick of the tunnel.

The worg snaps at Tragon with a set of teeth that look ridiculously long and sharp. This close, Tragon can see that the huge wolf has a spiked collar on its furry neck.

Cruncher Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The wolf is also hampered by the tunnel's constriction, its jaws blocked by Tragon's cutlass' riposte

"Curse folk an' their mad pets," Norveg mutters, shoving a paw around the doorway to touch Tragon. Guidance on Tragon.

He grins up at Nahuatl ti with yellowed incisors as he draws a slender ash wand from his belt. "Gotta keep that cork in the bot'l," he remarks, giving the watery shaman a bow as he steps back, yielding his place if she needs it. Draw wand of cure light wounds, 5' step back to open a space for Nahuatl ti.

Taishe, seeing that the area around the wolf is entirely too crowded for him to be of much help, steps back into the hallway to give the others more room to deal with the misbehaving, over-hormonal puppy.

He readies his crossbow, and watches the hallway behind them for any signs others may have heard the ruckus and are coming to investigate.

MOVE to the back of the line, (with Jakun?) and readies an action to fire his crossbow at the first sign of 'bad guys'. ;P

TAishe does no attack actions this round, (As he does not want to try and hit the wolf from between the legs of his companions!) He keeps an eye on the situation, trying to see where he may be of assistance. AND keeps glancing over his shoulder past Jakun, trying to make sure they are not surprised from the other direction.

Sorry I did respond but the internet where I was guessing not so good and the post was lost.

Narl does back up to allow Tragon room to attack effectively casting a scorching ray as he goes. Hoping to bring the beast down quickly before raising a ruckus.

Scorching Ray: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 214d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 1) = 15

If nobody is injured, Norveg will double-move towards the eastern door of room D3, clearing the combat area and preparing to exit and keep watch at the eastern hallway intersection. But at the end of this round, he can only make it to a square 5' shy of the door (speed 20 in armor).

Between Tragon’s short sword and Narl’s scorching ray, the beast falls dead. Fortunately the sword thrust took it in the neck, so its attempt at a death howl comes out as a gurgling sigh.

Taishe gives a nervous gulp, but nods in affirmative.

Go stealthy, sneak down hallway where it came from, make sure there are not more coming behind it.

Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Taishe is a little distracted, hoping there are not any other wolves/pets, looking to use a small dragonkin as a chew toy!

Norveg peeks out of the east door, then moves to the intersection of the corridors so he can see back the way they came, to be certain they didn't attract any attention from behind.

Taishe sneaks up the corridor, until he reaches an open doorway. He peers cautiously inside. It is a 15'x15' room. There is another open door on the opposite wall, beyond which looks like a continuation of the hallway. The room reeks of unwashed canine. There is also a reek of feces and urine coming from a pit in the corner. A few well-chewed bones litter the floor. Taishe can tell they are likely from some humanoid. A large pile of soiled blankets are piled in a corner. a large container of water sits by them.

Norveg heads back to the east door and the intersection. He doesn't hear anything out of the ordinary

Taishe hastily pads back to his companions.

"One found den of canine. Quite unssanitary. Other Door on far part of room, hallway continuess." The kobold whispers succinctly.
"Forward?" He points towards the 'doggie' den,
"Or back other direction?" he points the other way, (where the hallway returns back the direction they came from.)

Taishe pauses, thinking as he strokes his mustache-tendrils.

"One opiness that cowardly typess like our prey would prefer majority of obstacles between him and potential intruderss. One contemplatess that going deeper into maze will bring sswifter encounter with target."

The kobold shrugs his shoulders in a decidedly human expression.

"One will abide by group majority."

Taishe leads the way to the dingy wolf den, and gives the room a better once-over before moving onward.

Nahuatl ti nods silently, following the kobold to the creature's den.

Narl follows the group but stops at the dead wolf to check it out and takes a sample of its hair for later research. Then continues onward towards the creatures den.

Narl can see as he inspects the wolf that it has a fancy leather collar inset with silver spikes. A tag on it reads 'Cruncher' in Common.

The rest of the group inspects the wolf's den. It is a relatively sparse room, with just the few belongings that Taishe had spied moments ago. The room smells of unwashed dog.

Beyond the room is a hallway. the narrow tunnel terminates 60 feet along in a door. A series of doors can be vaguely discerned on intervals going down the hallway. There is a faint odor, akin to the unwashed smell of the wolf's room, but ranker. It's the smell of unwashed humanoids and their nightsoil.

Satisfied the party has a far enough lead that his not so quiet bulk would alert foes of their presence, he begins to follow in their direction, all the while, keeping an eye behind him in case of enemy attack.

As they begin to scout even farther ahead, Jakun takes the opportunity to dump the weapons that he stole from their foes into that pit of offal in the wolves den one by one as to not make much noise and as to ensure that their retrieval is unpleasant if not altogether impossible.

Taishe sniffs the air as they examine the newest hallway before them.

"One would think that we are on correct path. It Reekss of dessperation." The kobold whispers with a nod of certainty.

SNEAK (towards closest door in new hall):

Taishe ghosts quietly down the hallway. The first door reveals itself as a 5x5 barred jail cell. It is filthy, but empty. Taishe can hear nothing from the other doors, which also lead to small jail cells. The hallway is empty, but there are signs that someone was kept here recently

He hears a muffled yell or scream from beyond the closed door at the end of the tunnel. That door is a solid teak, like most others in this place

Jakun heads down the hallway to be close but not too close to ensure that he can respond to a call to action, but not reveal the presence of his quieter compadres.

Taishe starts at the muffled scream, but turns it into a more dignified draconic snaking of his neck.

The kobold looks back at the others, and silently makes a few gestures, doing a passable shadow charade of his arm being twisted, and opening his snout to mock a silent scream. He points towards the closed door. He waves the others to follow, and lays a finger in front of his snout to indicate quietly.

Taishe sneaks on ahead, and inspects the door to see if it is locked or trapped.

SNEAK (to closed door at end of hall, where muffled scream came from):
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Per: (on door):
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Total of 29 to spot traps, But I hope a NAT 20 would be even better? ;P

Taishe approaches the door cautiously. There doesn’t seem to be any alarm from beyond the door, so he assumes that he was quiet enough to evade detection. Beyond the door, he can hear some people talking. He believes there are only two from the tenor and pitch. Even with his sharp hearing, he has a hard time making out individual words he does make out a smacking sound. And another muffled cry. He also thinks he hears the two words, ‘please stop.’

Taishe waves the others near. He holds up two clawed fingers.

Then the kobold holds one clawed finger upright, and makes a gesture of punching something. Followed by holding up a clawed finger on his other hand, but this one he holds up bent, and makes as sad a face as he can with his draconic snout.

"One thinkss we should sstop this." He whispers.

Waiting for others to chime in. Taishe has an idea if no one else does. ;P
