Action 1
Kudvathalas looked at the quiver and brushed his hand across the decorations. "It's beautiful, and surely magic. Sarya, I think you're probably the best with a bow. For what it's worth, I think you should have it."

Action 3
As they arrived back to the refugees, Kudvathalas brought the smoked meat to Aubrin. "We found these at the Hunter's cabin. It will surely be a nice change from apples. We are hoping to move you all there soon. There is more shelter than there is here."

...

Kudvathalas knelt next to the body and shook his head. "Why do they chase us? What threat are we to an army? It seems so senseless."

Action 1

Sarya agreed with Kudvathalas and, unless someone said anything, she performed the attunement ritual with the quiver whenever an opportunity presented itself.

Action 2

Sarya smiled in relief as the group agreed to go back for the others.

Action 3

On the way back, Sarya made an effort to forage some food as best she could without slowing down the group.

Later, Sarya examined the body briefly.

Medicine: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Unfortunately she didn't understand enough about medicine to evaluate the situation. She said "We best move out first thing in the morning."

She replied to Kudvathalas, however, saying "This is war. Do not try to make sense of it. When it comes to war, defeat of the enemy is the only thing that matters." She thought Kudvathalas seems to be a kind wood elf. It is terrible that he will need to see a war.

Katra gently picked the man's body up and returned to the camp with it. She then began digging a hole to bury him in. "Go ahead and start taking them back. I'll catch up." she said. An hour or so later, she had dug a hole for the man, lain the man's body, and then refilled the hole; she then prayed to Pharasma that his soul find it's place.

With that grisly deed done, she headed out to rejoin the others.

OOC: you are all doing a great job RPing your PCs, but let's see if we can bring them to life even more.

Have you thought of any quirks and/or mannerisms that your PC has?

What about fears? Bugs, undead, ghosts, disappointing daddy, criticism, etc.?

I promise I won't hold it against it mechanically, but it will make for an even better RP experience.

Consider telling us, writing these down in your PC sheet, or, even better, bringing them out in RP.

Day 6 - Upon returning to the camp
After Kudvathalas had passed the smoked meat to Aubrin he pulled out a sprig of mistletoe and uttered "Desna, grant me nourishment for these poor people". With that 10 small red berries appeared in his hand.

"These are goodberries. They are a gift from Desna. They may not look like much, but one will provide enough sustinence for a day. They will only last one day before they perish. Take one, and I will hand out the others. I will make an effort to provide some of these every day if I am here and able."

Kudvathalas then walked around the makeshift camp, and handed out the remaining 9 berries to the refugees.

I would have included this before, but was mixed up with the timeline. Thought it was the same day as the hunter's camp.

HP: 15 AC: 13(15) Druid 2 | Saves - Str: 0, Dex: 2, Con: 1, Int: 3, Wis: 5, Cha: 1 | Init: +2

Action 1
Kudvathalas stood from his trance. Hmmm, another dreamless night He knew it would be a long day of travel, so he summoned goodberries and provided them to the refugees he felt would have the most difficult time on the walk. He told the others "Assuming we don't run into any trouble, I will have more to distribute when we arrive."

Action 2
Kudvathalas spent the duration of their travel assisting the refugees travel through the unforgiving forest. In an attempt to keep people's minds from dwelling on the past few days he would name the various plants and their uses as they passed.
Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
He was far from home, and surprisingly didn't recognize a lot of the flora in this region of the woods.

When they arrived at the hunter's cabin he summoned and distributed 10 more goodberries before assissting the refugees in making shelter.

Kudvathalas offered to take first watch and allow the others to sleep. He sat and thought about what else he could do to help these poor people. If we could make it deep into the central Fangwood, my people would surely take them in, but even today's travel was difficult for some. It's too far until we are better prepared

After his watch he knelt at his bed roll and entered his trance for the evening, hoping for guidance from Desna.

"She didn't say it was a treehouse? Wow. I always wanted to live a treehouse." He looked up at Sarya, "There is a whole tree city in Koyonin made by gnomes. So, Katra....Katra's biggest fear, and the thing that she holds against herself the most, is that she's unworthy of the power she was given. She believes that Trudd armed her to be his weapon against evil in the world, and as she sees it, so far she's failed twice: Once in Kraggodan, and once in Phandar (in case you were all wondering why she was acting mopey for a while there).

As far as personality goes, Katra will be completely honest with everyone about everything except her feelings; partly because as I see it Dwarves are rather laconic when it comes to emotions besides rage and sadness, and partly because she has a connection to something that she thinks no one else can understand.

Grand Lodge

Fighter lvl 4 [AC16 | Saves +1 +4 +4 +3 +0 +0 | Per +2]

Action 2

Sarya tried foraging food on their way to the cabin. She understood the food problem and didn't know what to do. How do you feed so many people?, she kept repeating in her head.

Foraging: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Advantage: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

When they arrived back at the hunter's cabin, she allowed herself to attune to the magical quiver they found. After the ritual, she looked for a while at the quiver, then placed exactly one arrow inside. She looked at the others and said "Well, this is going to be slow. This thing enhances one arrow per day."

Action 3

The next morning, she watched the arrow in the quiver. For a brief moment, she could see the arrow glow with a blue light, and she knew the effect had been taken. She smiled, and set out with the others for the ranger's redoubt. On the way, she said "There's no real urgency now. I believe the people are safe, despite the food problem."

Arriving at the tree house, she answers to Cheshire "I know of that city. I don't really know why the elves had to leave, however. How about we go visit it someday?" A careful observer could see that she somehow didn't like the gnome's comment about the gnomes laughing at the elves.

Then, she replied to Kudvathalas "I was born there. I also grew up in our elven land. I left from my own volition, not too long ago, about ten years. However, it will be a long time before I return." She paused, apparently pained by something. "There is much richness of knowledge and honor in those woods, but... it lacks the simplicity of a truly wild forest. I'm not sure if this makes sense..." She hoped that Kudvathalas would understand her point.

Focusing on the tree house itself, Sarya said "Do we know if the house is inhabited?"

K Nature: Do these kinds of spiders work alone or do they have nests with multiple ones?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Gazul’s eyes went wide as the arachnid ambush was sprung. He immediately began to think about this foe...some spiders had nests with dozens of kin, or at the very least lived near others. If such was the case then this area was very dangerous indeed. Others were solitary hunters. The amount of danger they were in depended on that knowledge.

Even as his mind he raced, he leapt into action. Moving as quickly as he could towards it. He knew that his sister wouldn’t hesitate to attack, so the least he could do was flank it so that her hammer would be more likely to find it’s mark.

Also, it's not your turn to attack and the spider is 20' off the ground up in a tree. I think sometimes you rush through the turn recap and just skim through the OOC part without actually reading it. :)

OOC: glad you are enjoying the game, pace, recaps, etc.

We will get more time with NPCs but I think the game calls for this sort of action at this time (find a decent shelter).

@Cheshire: foraging/consumption is 'explained' in the OOC part of the recaps. You were doing well but 17 people consume 14 PP per day with NPC help.

Questions?
