Dreams are powerful. Dreams are the vessel in which your inner mind presents itself. The strangest part? Usually you can’t remember your dreams in the morning. Why is so much time focused on the events that happen without, while the events within are ignored?
This is the mindset of the Conclave of Dreams, a small community deep in the Fangwood. The mostly elven population have dedicated their lives to the analysis of dreams. They train their minds to remember the events of dreams, and to record them in as much detail as possible. They believe that Desna, goddess of dreams, speaks to them in their sleep, and it would be a disservice to her if they were to take this lightly.
Kudvatalas has shown great skill in the recollection and analysis of dreams. What’s more, his method of recording the dreams, paint on a canvas, always invokes more emotion than simple words on parchment. From a very young age, Kudvatalas was able to recall his dreams with a sharp clarity that allowed him to recreate an entire dream sequence as a still image.
Recently his dreams have had a recurring theme, a small, humble town sitting on the bank of a bubbling river. Over the past year the conclave has studied his paintings, and despite their isolated nature, have determined that he must be dreaming of Phaendar. Never one to question Desna’s word, the Conclave prepared Kudvatalas to leave for the town.
Personality:
Despite his relatively young age (85 years), Kudvatalas takes his responsibilities seriously, trusting Desna would never lead him astray. In the conclave he is known as an outgoing and passionate elf, but the elders have warned him of the uncontrolled chaos of the outside world, and urged him to be cautious around new people.
With a barely contained eagerness to see the world outside of the Fangwood, Kudvatalas is very mindful of his mission, and tries to maintain a stoic outward appearance. The only time his passion cannot be contained is when he records his dreams on a canvas. This is difficult, as he was prohibited from bringing his painting supplies on his journey. They were too encumbersome for a journey through the forest. Kudvatalas is searching for a more portable method to continue what he sees as his worship to Desna.
Appearance:
Kudvatalas has dark, tanned skin, and stands at 6’2” with a thin build. His head is sheared short on both sides, while the rest of his hair is in several small, tight braids (woven with ribbons of gold for the journey) which hang down to his shoulders.
He wears brown leathers adorned with a symbol of Desna embroidered across the chest. A scimitar and a small star knife rest on his hips, and a thin wooden shield hangs strapped from his back.

Conclave Druid Discovery:
The quiet seclusion of your extended hermitage gave you access to a unique and powerful discovery. The exact nature of this revelation depends on the nature of your seclusion. It might be a great truth about the cosmos, the deities, the powerful beings of the outer planes, or the forces of nature. It could be a site that no one else has ever seen. You might have uncovered a fact that has long been forgotten, or unearthed some relic of the past that could rewrite history. It might be information that would be damaging to the people who or consigned you to exile, and hence the reason for your return to society.
