Bylo nods 'ready' to Yasmeena.
I'm not stealthy so I'll wait for Yasmeena to figure out what we are doing.
Yasmeena
I don't think we'll be able to sneak in, but we don't know this elf is an enemy yet, so I think I'll try to talk before combat, which might give everyone else a chance to enter the room. Foxy, it sounds like from your description that it is glass and it does not have a mechanism to open it. If that's wrong, let me know, since I'd rather open it than break it. Also let me know if you need any rolls. :)
Yasmeena checks that everyone is ready, then draws her scimitar and breaks the glass with the hilt. She leaps into the room and shouts "Don't worry! We're here to rescue you!"
Yasmeena
Yasmeena bows politely. "We are travelers, who come from far away from here." She beckons to her companions while she talks, encouraging them to follow her into the room. "We have crossed the planes to help a worthy few to escape this fiery prison. Are you the leader of the Flickering Candle?"
Bylo Afir
Seeing too much happening at once Bylo casts a Shield of Faith on himself and joins Yasmeena. "Where'd he go? I thought he was for hire.... ??"
The last is added in case the elf is still here and listening. Maybe the statement might add a bit of confusion? He draws his blade when he spots the efreeti.

Neelah begins her Blazing Rondo performance, and then takes her cue from Yasmeena, guiding the carpet back and away from the efreets. “Doesn’t everyone get out of this place?” Aithaloessa says, taking a step back to where she’s out of reach, hopefully, and with clear sight-lines, bringing up her pistol in a defensive posture, keeping one eye out for where the room’s previous occupant might have got to.
“Or, if someone’s looking for a mark, we have an errant warlord that could stand to be taken down a peg!” she adds, as she feels Neelah’s magic performance quickening her heartbeat and her reflexes.
Maybe a bit too much, as the mage thinks she spies an opening and her twitchy hands slip and skid over her weapon.

Can flying creatures take 5' steps? I'm assuming that's what the efreet that attacked Yasmeena did.
Neelah maintains her performance, keening her low, menacing song as she guides the carpet back from the melee. She waves her fingers and chants as part of the song, and five small beads of sound fly from her to strike the ground behind their opponents, erupting into an explosion of noise on impact.
She casts fireball using her Cluster Bomb magic trick to separate it into five 10' radius blasts, and her Choral Support feat to change it into sonic damage. She'll space them out over 30', but I'm not sure if any opponents are far enough away from the epicenter that they take less damage. I'm imagining that each opponent is within at least two blasts, but they only have to make one DC 18 Reflex save for half damage.

Other than the efreeti, the elf has some interesting gear. Two tanglefoot bags, 5 doses of giant wasp poison, +2 mithral shirt, Zin’Kali (+1 genie-bane rapier), +1 composite shortbow (+3 Str bonus) with 20 arrows, gloves of Dexterity +2, cloak of resistance +1, ring of protection +2 and masterwork thieves’ tools.
Yasmeena
I've updated the loot list on Yasmeena's profile.
Yasmeena quickly gets to work trying to identify the various magical items with Aithaloessa. "This rapier, inscribed with runes that identify it by the name Zin'Kali, has been forged with charms that make it particularly hateful to all geniekind. Haleen, I suggest you take it as you might be able to put it to good use. Here, also take this belt-- it will magically enhance your natural grace-- and if you will wear this enchanted armor, I will take your discarded shirt."
(She will give Haleen the +2 mithral shirt and her belt of incredible dexterity +2 and take the mundane mithral shirt and gloves of dexterity +2. Haleen can also use the ring of protection +2, and as she's our primary frontliner I suggest she take it. But if anyone else wants it, or thinks the loot should be divided differently, I won't object!)
Bylo Afir
No issue from Bylo. The post says Gloves of Dexterity though, not belt. ?? Bylo might want the poison destroyed.... ??

Yasmeena has a belt of incredible dexterity +2, which she is giving to Haleen so that she can wear the gloves. It may not matter, but I have found that it's always best to leave a fighter's hands slot open for gloves of dueling.
No objections to destroying the poison from Yasmeena.

“I suppose it’s too much to hope that we managed to hurl ourselves through just the right window, and have cut off the head of the serpent,” Aith says, as she examines the presumptive assassin’s gear. “Like we did with the Carrion King.”
The sword cuts her satisfied reminiscences short. It’s one thing for someone like her, dropping in unwillingly from another plane, to show up with a weapon that’s anathema to the locals, but even that is less … viciously well-chosen than Zin’Kali for the original inhabitants of Jhavhul’s palace. What are the Flickering Candle up to? Were they sponsored by someone? “Someone really doesn’t like our host,” she remarks quietly. “I wonder how many other old grudges are still playing out where we’re likely to stumble into them. I’m beginning to see why Jhavhul might be so keen on decamping to our plane.”
No objections to the division of the spoils, but…
Unless she’s stopped (no problem if she is), Aith will safely tuck the wasp poison away for when they get back to Kelmarane. It’s been a while since she’s come across anything that would make a nice treat for Undrella - at least, when she’s had enough leisure to stop to pick and pack it up. Idly, the unobservant elf’s eyes flicker to Bylo, reminding herself whether he keeps his head shaven or no. Not, mind you, that she expects the harpy will have any more luck with him than she did with Antarah or any other gentlemen of Aith’s acquaintance, but one never knows.
Oh dear. That will be a fun conversation. “Wait a minute. You cut a deal with a cannibalistic harpy alchemist? For whom your sheriff is a go-between for various reagents and markets? And said sheriff has set up a catapult to experiment with for defending the city in case of a siege?” “…” “Well, it does keep her out of trouble. Less trouble than the wild magic, at least.” XD
“I do hope there aren’t too many of these fellows about,” the mage adds, wondering where this sinister artifact that’s holding them here can be. She does wish cryptic apparitions appearing from the palace walls would be a bit more forthcoming. She’ll have to keep an eye and an ear out, she supposes.
Yasmeena
Yasmeena looks around briefly while she tries to patch herself up. "It would help if that elf assassin had left a diary of some sort. He did not seem very willing to discuss his employment at all!"
Do we have any charges left in our wands of cure light wounds? We should heal up to full before we head out. Yasmeena will also use her wand to cast gravity bow on herself, in case we find more enemies in the next room.

"Thanks," Aith says as Bylo weaves a web of healing magic over the group with some intricate sweeps over the group. "If we can avoid too too much trouble before finding a safe place to rest, that would be best, but if I can avoid having to use my strongest spells, I might be able to find a useful trick or two."
"If only we could get to the city," she adds wistfully. "I can only imagine what sorts of textbooks and scrolls they might have here, and it's been a while since I've had the leisure to gather ideas and new methods for my spellbook."
Given how many planar traps and one-way trips to strange dimensions she seems destined to walk into, she makes a mental note to make sure to think about abjurations and transportation spells when she can. For now, she unfurrows her brow, checks her pistol, and prepares to look for more trouble.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
Yasmeena
Yasmeena delays until after the salamanders act, giving them the chance to flee as Bylo suggests. Neelah frowns skeptically at Yasmeena, but also holds her action.
Foxy Quickpaw
