I'm off for the next few days, and hopefully will have time to complete the background. Zorfarn is a Dragonborn (Gold) Paladin of Enlil. I've got to get my FR stuff out and determine locations for everything, but he's. definitely a travelling hero, whom seems to travel and root out evil doings wherever he goes.
Here is the link for the D&D Beyond character if you have it.

TBD. |

OK, gyrfalcon here with crunch for Theren Elyrien, brother of Lindaer. (Infinity, I'm trying out D&DBeyond, and liking it, but please let me know if you prefer another format.)
He's still a woodsy archer...but he's now built as a Scout Rogue.
Background will come over the weekend!

TBD. |

Infinity: Cool, I consider that very generous of you. Being a DM is a lot of work. If you ever decide you want some or all of my crunch organized in a way that makes it easier for you to access, just let me know.
Lindaer (Grumbaki): Agreed! I like the idea of playing as brothers and I hope that (despite great competition) we both get chosen! I've only written a bit of Theren's personality so far, but it's very much influenced by the image of Lindaer I get from your oral background snippet.
Lindaer seems steady. The Leaflord has given him a purpose, and he experiences the confident solace of hearing Rillifane Rallathil speak to him. That has helped Lindaer to temper the pain of their childhood. Theren--as much as he longs to, some days--has never heard the Leaflord's voice, or felt His touch*. Lacking that, he's more prone to extremes, both of exuberance and melancholy...and he would likely spiral down badly if he were ever to be separated from his brother, or to believe that Lindaer were dead.
Here's what I've written so far for his personality
Theren is a study in extremes. At his best, he is confident, cocky, and charming, engaging in a decades-long friendly competition of martial prowess with his brother Lindaer. On other days--often after dark dreams of the ransacking of Suldanessellar when he was just a child--he can be morose, pessimistic...and overly fond of drinking Berduskan Dark**. It’s on those days in particular that he envies his brother his relationship to Rillifane Rallathil. (Theren reveres the Leaflord, and yearns to be able to touch His quiet solace. Lacking that, his brother’s voice is a balm that helps him to find his better self when his thirst for vengeance or for wine grows too strong).
- - -
* Part of what brought me from Ranger to Scout Rogue was an understanding that Theren's never been able to hear the Leaflord himself. I thought about perhaps Rogue/Ranger multiclass but I want his inability to hear the Leaflord reflected in an inability to perform magic.
** Infinity, I swear that it's anomalous to have alcohol figure into both characters I've applied to games of yours with. Unlike Kjeta (for whom beer is purely and simply good) Theren would be better off if he never had another sip of wine. I think that detail helps me to picture his weaknesses...but it *does* amuse me that I wrote alcohol into his background, given that I play the Alemaiden in your Fey game. ;-)

...OK, latest backstory is in my profile now.
It includes:
* Personality & Appearance, plus
* Theren's contribution to Lindaer’s conversational backstory.

Melee Wood Elf Tempest Cleric
Archery Wood Elf Rogue
Half Elf Storm Sorcerer
Wood Elf Moon Druid
Monk
Goblin Swashbuckler Rogue
Human Abjurer Wizard
Melee High Elf Bladesinger Wizard
Half-Orc Samurai Fighter
Dragonborn Devotion Paladin
The Bladesinger has crunch and fluff more or less ready. He has spellcasting up to 8th level spells, though he's more dedicated to melee when in combat (my favorite spell is Steel Wind Strike, it has a Wu Xia movie feeling that I adore).

Falko Escheus |
Here's an executive summary for Falko:
-Falko's celestial heritage comes from a visiting missionary that the tribe ate in its direst time of need. The missionary became a guardian spirit and fuels Falko's rage.
-He fought the Bloodstone campaign against the Witch King but got petrified for 130 years. He ended up a matching statue in the King's Hall, until a wizard discovered the truth and released him.
-The new King doesn't like him and he doesn't like the new king. The King appointed him ambassador to keep him away, a position that doesn't suit him. He wants to leave.
-Falko is not in tune with the times. He has a good, but rigid heart. He longs for a glorious past, respect for the tribal ways, and misses a righteous cause and a righteous leader. He speaks like an old geezer in a young man's body.

I had planned on creating some elegant prose for my Dragonborn Paladin, but am simply going to lay out his background. Wore out from spring cleaning.
"If chosen I'll correct the avatar... trying to reuse existing ones instead of making new ones.
- 1
- The whole village was super excited anytime there was a new clutch hatching, but this one was not only a full moon, but there was a ring around the moon this night.
- 2
- Imagine the excitement when the last egg to hatch opened to a gleaming black set of scales. It had been many decades since a solid black dragonborn had hatched.
- 3
- Usually growing up in a small town in Tymanther was a happy, rewarding upbringing for a new member of the village, but young Daryl was challenged. Not only was he revered for being an obsidian scale, but he was slower in growing into his manhood, than many of his clutch-mates. And he had one other thing which made him feel... well different.
- 4
- Daryl didn't hate dragons. He was taught to. And he knew he should, but while he said the right things when asked, and spit and hissed when a dragon was named, he really found them fascinating. What was wrong with him.
- 5
- He found solace from his troubling thoughts and feelings with a travelling priest of Enlil. The worship of Enlil was a growing faction of Dragonborn... especially among the young, and the young dragonborn felt a special calling to his faith.
- 6
- Finally Daryl followed this calling and went off to Djerad Thymar, to study in the temple there. As he grew into his adulthood, he found that he felt a more militaristic approach to enforcing the tenements of the faith, than the cloistered one many of the others did.
- 7
- After completing his training, he set about the travel Toril, approaching everyone, and everything with an open mind. During these studies he learned of a famous Dragonborn by the name of Dragonbait. He began to follow in his footsteps, trying to recreate his travels, and live following his choices.
- 8
- Years passed, and Daryl made a name for himself. In certain areas of the world, his name came to light as quickly if not more so than Dragonbait. The scouring of Wolvesbane pass, The Siege of Fort Weathers, First Tymanther–Unther War... his legend grew, along with his skill and faith. But still something was missing in his life.
- 9
- As Daryl's legend grew he became associated with The Order of the Gauntlet. He built a stronghold near Silverymoon, and served many missions under the name of The Order... but still something was missing.
- 10
- Maybe this time. He had never come face to face with a Dragon. He'd come close, and had seen a few recently killed dragons, but never faced one himself. Maybe this latest assignment from The Order would take him close. He was growing older, and his old wounds hurt more each day.

scranford, backstory says Black but abilities hint at Silver or White for your dragonborn. Which?
And kudos on the Finder's Stone trilogy reference.
He's actually Gold Dragon Ancestry. That's part of his enigma. As the bloodline of Dragonborn intermingles, and pure coloration is rare, I had thought he'd be one of the first born with opposite coloration from his ancestry. Pure color, but an evil color with good intentions. In fact, I'm starting to outline my first novel/story that involves just this occurrence. This character gave me the idea for the story line.
If it doesn't work for the story I can change him to gold colored scales. Not really a big deal.
Also, I'm thinking instead of a stronghold, Daryl has built a massive cathedral as the center of the west for the worship of Enlil which is where most of his early funds went. He finally has enough worshipers to support the cathedral, and some under-priests run things, so he's decided to adventure again out of boredom... as well as an attempt to finally meet a dragon. Many of his later adventures have been finding relics for inclusion at the temple.

Super excited about this game. Keep tinkering with background, spells and equipment.
Cheers!
I dont think we have any magic items as yet. I believe the idea was to sort them out when a team was decided. We did each get 10000gp to buy mundane stuff like houses, flashy jewellry and fancy dresses.

Greycastle |

Idris Elba.
More specifically, This
I was thinking of a british accent. That would have worked pretty darn well. Oh well. Maybe next time. Was totally gonna be a valor bard too.

GM Infinity |

Party shall consist of:
Daryl the Pious - Paladin of the Enlil Reborn, Power of Zigguraxus (scranford)
Falko Escheus - Stone-to-Fleshed Black-Bear Barbarian from a Past Damaran Age (dreaming)
Lindaer Elyrien - Spearpoint of the Leaflord (grumbaki)
Finlogan - Hierophant to the Circle of Alluvium - (jubal)
Lady Szasa - The Hurricane of Death - (vrog)
Tarn Neekapper - Hero of the Lost Crucible and Savior of the Silver Sphinx, Bearer of the Golden Justice (tareth)
I would happily take any of you guys, but had to make the call for 6 players. Apologies to players I know and love, no hard feelings! Same to total strangers, not blowing smoke when I say they were all enjoyable characters.

Thanks. I'll work on updating my profile... (gee that's a lot to type :-)
But can play before then. I'll also have to bone up on my FR geography, but Friday's a holiday, so I should have a lot of free time. In the meantime I'll still be able to post.
My first experience with high level 5E play as well. Should be fun and educational...
