As they are set upon Jarvey brings his trusty repeator to bear on the Skaven assassin threatening to gut him...
(Not sure if there's any penalties for using range weapons in melee? Like Attack of Opportunity in PF etc. Regardless if he can, he will (regardless of the risk) On my work PC at present so have no access to the rules :)
dice=Ranged (Blackpowder) 62 (-10)]1d100

Good questions
Ranged attacks cannot be opposed with Melee Skills unless you have a large enough shield or if they are at Point Blank range where it is also allowable to Dodge. This rule applies in this case since you are at hand-to-hand range
You cannot make ranged attacks whilst Engaged, unless you are armed with a ranged weapon that has the Pistol Quality Jarvey does have a weapon with the Pistol Quality so even if Engaged can make ranged attacks
If you use your Ranged Skill when you are Engaged with your target, the target may Oppose your attack with any Melee Skill.Need to determine if Jarvey is Engaged, if so Mr. Skaven can use his Melee Basic skill to defend
Whenever you attack an opponent, or are attacked, in melee combat, you count as Engaged. This means you are tussling with each other in a fight, and others rules (due to Talents, Spells, etc.) for being Engaged might apply.Jarvey was attacked in Melee so is Engaged with the Skaven
Combat Modifiers for Jarvey = + 40 to hit because at Point Blank Range, + 10 for being Smaller and -10 for being Sick
There don't appear to be any Attack of Opportunities like PF for using a Pistol in a knife fight.
Skaven 3 Attacks Jarvey with a Melee Skill of 60 and rolls a 73 for a Failure with a SL of -1
Jarvey Dodges with a Skill of 36 and rolls a 42 which is a Failure with a SL of -1
Since Skaven 3 has higher Skill level, it's attack is a success and the Skaven gains Advantage +1
Hit Location is Right Arm
Damage is 4 + 4 + 0 - 4 - 0 = 4 Wounds It does not look like Jarvey has any armor on his arms?
Jarvey - Make a Challenging (+0) Endurance Check, failure means that the Warp-stone poison has begun it's filthy work of corrupting you and you gain 1 point of Corruption.
Jarvey - In addition to the foul Chaos tinted Warp-stone, the Skaven excel in the use of more traditional poisons. Make a Difficult (-10) Endurance Check or suffer 2 Poison Conditions.
Jarvey has a Ranged Skill of 62 and is +30 to hit. Jarvey rolled a 13 which is a hit with a SL of +8
Skaven 3 can use his Melee Skill to defend...Skaven Defense Roll (60): 1d100 ⇒ 10 Success with SL of +5
Damage is 3 + 8 + 1 - 5 - 0 = 8 Wounds of Damage Pistol shot ignores 1 point of AP
Hit Location is Right Arm
Jarvey gains Advantage +1 and Skaven 3 loses Advantage +1
The foul Ratman and the valiant Halfling trade blows with the Ratman stabbing the right arm of his foe and the Halfling shooting the right arm of the Ratman in return. The despicable poisoned blade of the Ratman tries to do its work...
I'd appreciate it if someone wants to double check the numbers, remembering the Skaven attacked first

We really need to see those Endurance tests before the pistol shot can be finalized, because Jarvey might be penalized. It looks like the Skaven didn't get Advantage on his defense roll. I think that even if both of those things go his way, though, he'll be shot.
As far as the math goes, it's hard to know exactly how you compiled everything. I'm seeing Jarvey +40 point-blank, +10 small -10 sick = +40 to hit for 8 or 9 SL. Did you roll the Skaven Advantage in to make it +30 to hit on Jarvey's roll? I'm not sure how it decreased from 40 to 30 otherwise.
The Skaven defense roll is weird, since I'm not sure why we didn't use the one in the defense spoiler you rolled earlier. If we assume that we go with the new roll, I'm seeing +6 SL after the Skaven has advantage. So Jarvey hits with either +2 SL or +3 SL, depending on the poison check. If we did use the spoiler roll it's a lot worse, and Jarvey wins by +7 SL or +8 SL.
Jarvey's base damage is 12 and the Skaven's toughness is 5. It looks like their armor doesn't apply here. So 7 damage plus whatever SL number we end up settling on. Potential damage range of 9 to 15 by my count.

Fair point about the Endurance Rolls being needed.
I did give the Skaven Advantage +1 to defend against Jarvey's shot by penalizing the shot instead of rewarding the defense. It really should have been applied to the Skaven's defense roll instead of Jarvey's attack but has the same effect either way.
There was a big mistake made though...I completely forgot that Skaven 3 had already made his Defense roll so the roll of 10 is discarded and the Defense Roll of 60 is to be used instead.
Taking those mistakes into account, I think that Jarvey's attack should have been as follows (assuming he is not poisoned).
Jarvey has an Attack Rating of 62
He is +40 to hit for being at point blank range, +10 to hit for being smaller and -10 to hit for being sick giving Jarvey an effective Attack Rating of 102
Jarvey rolled a 13 which is a success with a SL of +9
Skaven 3 has a Defense Rating of 60
He has Advantage +1 from his successful attack on Jarvey
Skaven 3 rolls a 60 which is a success with a SL +1 (due to his Advantage)
SL difference is +8 for Jarvey and Jarvey now has Advantage +1
Damage is +8 SL + 8 (Weapon) + 1 (Bullet) - 5 Toughness - 0 (Bullet ignores Armor 1) for a total of 12 Wounds inflicted. If Jarvey fails his poison check, then the damage would be 11 Wounds inflicted.

Round 1 Wrap-up
Dirk inflicted 8 Wounds on Skaven 1Skaven 2 inflicted 1 Wound on Dirk
Dirk has Advantage +1
Skaven 2 has Advantage +1
Jarvey has gained 1 point of Corruption
Jarvey has gained Poison 2 Condition. Need to pass an Extended Endurance Test with a SL of +2 or higher. Jarvey loses 1 Wound at the end of each Round until poison is resisted. Jarvey is now an additional -10 to all tests
Jarvey inflicted 11 Wounds on Skaven 3 in Round 1
Jarvey took 4 Wounds of damage from Skaven 3 from its dagger strike and took 1 Wound of damage from Poison
Jarvey has Advantage +1
Adela, Ubaldo and Hanna are running the few blocks to join into the combat and will be able to join Melee in Round 3 or Ranged/Magick combat in Round 2
Aubster
Need Hanna's Initiative result before Round 2 combat since she could eliminate one of the Skaven before they attack
I will go ahead and make the Skaven's attack and defense rolls for Round 2 so that part will be complete
Dirk Liestag
Pretty sure that the Skaven are staying up through their turn, so I'll get Dirk's defense in now.
Dodge 64+10 Advantage vs Skaven 1: 1d100 ⇒ 2 - I think Aubster might have omitted their gang up bonus vs Dirk. So I think that Skaven 1 & Dirk both have +7 SL on this? Not 100% sure how to break the tie. Dirk has a higher base value of 64, but do we count Advantage & Gang up on this part? That would give the Skaven the win at 74 vs 80...
If Dirk would lose a tie here, I'll spend his last Fortune to get +1 SL. If I'm doing my math right, that should give him the win regardless, move him up to +2 Advantage and we can move on to the next attack.
...I'm trying to do what I can to get some Advantage at the end of their attacks so Dirk can help Jarvey...might get expensive.
Dodge 64+20 Advantage vs Skaven 2: 1d100 ⇒ 53
Skaven 2 would have Gang Up and +1 Advantage for a total of +6 SL. Dirk is unlikely to get +6 SL even if I reroll that. I'm considering spending a Resilience to win this check, but let's see what Jarvey gets for his defense before I go that far.

ROUND 2
Ok, first things first. Extended Endurance test...
Extended Endurance Test 50 (-20 due to Fever and Poison): 1d100 ⇒ 5 Somekind of positive SL?
He then attempts to dodge the incoming attack...
Defence: Dodge 46 (-20 due to Fever and Poison): 1d100 ⇒ 88 Somekind of negative SL???
Corrupted, poisoned, wounded and fevered Jarvey fires away with his repeater (2/4 shots fired)
Ranged (Blackpowder) 62 (-20 due to Fever & Poison): 1d100 ⇒ 53
Not even close methinks with his Defence Roll vs My Attack, so won't list damage.
Dirk Liestag
Jarvey's situation is potentially pretty dire, but I'll forego spending Resilience. He has a lot of help coming from the rest of the party.
So I'm assuming that Dirk is hit by Skaven 2 and loses his Advantage.
Endurance 80 vs Corruption: 1d100 ⇒ 91
Endurance 80-10 vs Poison: 1d100 ⇒ 84 - ugh. what horrid rolls. I'm not 100% sure that either poison would actually be there, but I'll assume so for now.
Attack vs Skaven 1 63-10: 1d100 ⇒ 27 - ugh. The result here is dependent on the same thing as Dirk's earlier defense vs Skaven 1. Is the tie broken by the base skill or by the modified skill?
Aubster
Skaven 1 Attack
Skaven 1 has a Melee Skill of 60, no Advantage, but has +20 for gang-up bonus and rolled a 17 for a SL of +7.
Dirk has a Dodge Skill of 64 and an Advantage +1 and rolled a 2 which is a SL of +7. A 2 is an automatic success so GM's ruling is that Dirk wins the Opposed Test and now has Advantage +2.
Skaven 2 Attack
Skaven 2 has a Melee Skill of 60, +1 Advantage and +20 for gang-up bonus and rolled a 35 for a SL of +6.
Dirk has a Dodge Skill of 64 and an Advantage +2 and rolled a 53 for a SL of +3. Skaven 2 wins the Opposed Check is now has Advantage +2 and Dirk has no Advantage.
A roll of 35 becomes a 53 so Hit Location is Body.
Damage is + 3 (SL) + 4 (WB) + 4 (SB) - 6 (TB) - 4 AB which causes 1 Wound...High Toughness and Good Armor makes Dirk an annoyingly tough opponent for the Skaven
Dirk failed his Endurance Checks against both Corruption and Poison so gains +1 Corruption and +2 Poison (-10 to all checks until Poison is overcome)
Surprisingly agile for a big man, Dirk dodges an expertly aimed thrust from the first Skaven Assassin but once again the second Assassin is able to take advantage of Dirk responding to his compatriot. His dagger slams home but the blade is almost completely turned aside by Dirks's armor causing nothing more than a scratch. Just as before though, that scratch feels like it is burning and freezing at the same time as the Skaven's insidious, hellish mixture on the dagger enters the bloodstream. This time, Dirk is not able to shake off the devil's brew as easily and feels both spiritually sickened and physically weakened from the envenomed blade's strike.
Aubster
Skaven 3 Attack
Skaven 3 has a Melee Skill of 60 and no Advantage and rolled a 47 for a SL of +2
Jarvey has a Dodge Skill of 46 and has Advantage +1 but is slowed by both Poison and Illness to an effective Dodge Skill of 36. Jarvey rolled an 88 for a SL of -5.The 88 on a failed Melee test is a Fumble but GM does not consider Dodge to be a 'Melee' test per the Rules, specifically the little box on Page 159 which basically says if you use Dodge you lose your chance to get a Critical Hit so it only makes sense that you also lose the chance to have a Fumble
SL Difference is +7 for the Skaven so Jarvey loses Advantage +1 and Skaven gains Advantage +1.
Skaven attack roll of 47 becomes hit location 74 which is Body.
Damage is +7 (SL) + 4 (WB) + 4 (SB) - 4 (TB) - 2 (AP) which is 9 Wounds inflicted for a total of 14 Wounds which brings Jarvey to 0 Wounds knocking Jarvey from his feet (Jarvey gains Prone Condition).
Jarvey can spend 1 Point of Fortune to reroll his Dodge Test trying to beat an 88. Any roll of 79 or less would leave Jarvey with at least 1 Wound and still on his feet. Or Jarvey could spend 1 Point of Resolve to remove the Prone condition and gain back 1 Wound. The narrative is written as if Jarvey did neither of the above but obviously is changed by Jarvey's choice.
The larger Skaven presses Jarvey hard as their battle continues. Ignoring its bullet wound (Skaven Assassins are trained to ignore pain), the foul ratman takes advantage of Jarvey's weakened condition to make a telling strike to Jarvey's body. The halfling's armor helps a bit but the needle sharp dagger still finds an opening in Jarvey's mail shirt to cause a serious wound. Jarvey staggers back a step and falls to the ground in serious trouble unless help arrives soon.
Jarvey's Endurance Test was good enough that even if he was at Poison 4 it would all be removed at the end of Round 2 so that -10 to rolls goes away after this round.

[dice=Ranged (Blackpowder) 62 (-20 due to Fever & Poison)]1d100

Jarvey's Attack - now it gets complicated ;)
Jarvey has +'s and -'s to hit all over the place for this Round. He is +20 for being at Point Blank Range and +10 for shooting at a bigger target but is -10 for being sick, -10 for being poisoned and -10 for being Prone.
Jarvey has a Ranged Skill of 62 and rolled a 53 which is SL +1 (all those +'s and -'s cancelled out)
The Skaven has a Melee Skill of 60 and Advantage +1 and rolled a 59 which is a SL +2 so beat's Jarvey's roll...
BUT if Jarvey is not prone (see Skaven 3 Attack) then Jarvey does not have the -10 to hit from being prone and then also has SL +2 and would actually beat the Skaven's rolls because his skill is higher and would blast the Skaven with his pistol...causing 4 wounds which would KILL Skaven 3
Aubster
Jarvey's situation is potentially pretty dire, but I'll forego spending Resilience. He has a lot of help coming from the rest of the party.

Skaven 1 has a Melee Skill of 60 and no Advantage. Skaven 1 rolls a 37 which is a SL of +3.
Since Dirk has the higher Skill, Dirk wins the Opposed Check and gains Advantage +1.
Dirk rolled a 27 which becomes a 72 and is a hit to the Body.
Damage is +0 (SL) + 4 (WB) + 5 (SB) - 5 (TB) - 1 (AP) = 3 Wounds giving Skaven 1 a total of 11 Wounds.

How wonderful it is to have a powerful Wizard as part of the group. Three blinding flashes of light leap from Hanna to strike the right legs of all three assassins.
The hideous ratman that Dirk had been dueling with has a large chunk of its right leg blown apart by the bolt of light and without a sound it crumbles to the ground dead.
The ratman that had wounded Dirk also takes a nasty wound to its leg but ignores it as the assassin continues to press Dirk.
Even as the third Skaven celebrates its victory over the halfling pistolero it too feels the bite of Light Magick and it too falls, next to the halfling it had downed. The difference is that Jarvey still breathes but the ratman has drawn its last breath.

Round 2 Summary
Skaven 1 and 3 are felled by biting bolts of Light Magick and are dead.
Skaven 2 has taken 4 Wounds of damage and no longer has Advantage.

Jarvey has taken 14 Wounds leaving him at 0 and is Prone. He is no longer Poisoned.
Hanna has Advantage +1.
Ubaldo is arriving at the melee and will strike first in Round 3 and is +10 to hit in Round 3 from Charging.
Adela is also arriving at the melee and her Axe glows with the telltale signs of Winter's Bite and is +10 to hit in Round 3.

Skaven 2 Attack
The Skaven Assassin is intently studying Dirk looking for any opening in his defense. That concentration proves to be almost fatal as Ubaldo finally completes his dash and barrels into combat. Hanna runs after her friends as her bolts of light take their toll on the dark Ratmen! She hears Dirk's cry and sees Jarvey's form laying on the street for the first time.
She kneels by his side and looks up at the others, "If there are more of them, keep them off of me!"
She then extends her hands over Jarvey and begins to speak, the syllables more softer than those she used to summon the darts of light a moment ago. It seems the air around Jarvey begins to glow...
Ok, first Extended Channelling Test....let me know if I do anything wrong.

A few beads of sweat indicate the strain Hanna was under as she harnessed the powers of the Wind, the light around Jarvey brightens a little...
Channelling(Hysk):69: 1d100 ⇒ 4 SL +6...that'll do it

Dirk Liestag
Hanna, your Aethyric Attunement talent would get you there even faster than that. Every successful channeling check should give you +1 SL over what you rolled (due to the Tests: entry). So I'm seeing +7 on the first and +3 on the second.
If I understand casting right, you would still need the third check, but it would be a Language (Magick) test to actually cast the spell after you channeled the magic together. Since you have Instinctive Diction, that would add +1 SL to your Language (Magick) test and I think you end up with +7 SL instead of +6. I'm not sure that success levels matter for the effect of the spell though.

Talk about overkill :)
As the Skaven shouts out his last words of hatred as his dagger pierces Dirk's body, he shouting is permanently ended by Adela's axe. The frosted axe slices entirely through the Skaven's body splitting it in twain. The part of the body holding the dagger stays upright just for a slit second as the Skaven's deathgrip holds onto the dagger buried in Dirk but then falls away joining the other half on the ground.

Dirk was using his Shield on that blow, so I think the AP would be 12. Still a lot of Wounds, but that's what happens when the attacker rolls low and the defender rolls high.
For Dirk's Wounds status, I'm seeing 1 each for two cuts & 2 Wounds from Poison (going to happen since he's failed his Extended test twice now) Then also 8 Wounds from the third cut.
Total of 12 and he's still losing Wounds from the poison. Does that look right?

Adela looked around, scanning for any more threats. It was just like the Skaven for the leader to hide while the underlings did the work.

Correct has taken 12 Wounds and has Poison 4 causing more wounds
