Did Amelia bathe in the pool? When? In murky or clear water? Knowing what happens do you ask Saronis to help you get out of the water?
Hegron, did you wait for the water to clear up?
Bathed in the pool: Urdrsk, Saronis, Maqan, Amris, Jade, Hegron
Hegron you will gain a tattoo, we will get to it when I get home to the book again.

GM Wolf |

Hegron you would have the Dragon Mark of Finding. You gain +2 to perception and one of the following spell like abilities:
identify 1/day
know direction 2/day
or
locate object 1/day.
---
Amelia you would have the Dragon Mark of Hospitality. You gain +2 bonus to diplomacy and one of the following spell like abilities:
purify food and drink 2/day
prestidigitation 2/day
or
unseen servant 1/day.
---
What did everyone else pick? I do need to know and you need to add it to your character sheet. Also remember if you swam in the water you get a +2 to one ability score of your choice as long as it is below 18.

GM Wolf |

Yes. Even though Urdrsk needs to see if his clan is okay, he'll stick around to help the escaped prisoners in town.
Where to start, this brings up even more questions. I asked if you were going with her or staying and you said: Yes. So which is it, staying with the townsfolk that were freed and now on the outskirts of town or going back into town with Maqan?
So you are sticking around to go back into town with Maqan to find more prisoners or staying with those that you just helped escape? It is very unclear. I am glad you are posting but please clarify.
I can't tell Maqan what is going on and what she sees until I know where people are. Well I guess I can but.....

Amelia Yukino Rose |

Sorry all. I lost access to the internet at my residence (and I have no cell signal where I stay either) so have been unable to get any posts in as the job I've been working is physical labor. I'm hoping to have one of the above problems fixed sometime by August, visiting my folks atm so managed to get some time and access to post an update. Sorry for the sudden disappearance.

Message to all games:
I AM A LITTLE FED UP WITH THIS... IF I AM SLACKING ON POSTING TALK TO ME! IN ALL MY GAMES I EXPECT YOU TO POST AT LEAST ONCE A DAY! I AM ON THE VERGE OF CLOSING DOWN SOME OF MY CAMPAIGNS FOR LACK OF PARTICIPATION! I SHOULDNT HAVE TO MESSAGE YOU, PLEASE CHECK YOUR GAME AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!
I am just making a blanket statement to all games, so you can't say I didn't tell you. Some games are better you should know who you are but even in those games we have people who are slacking!!!
Honestly I feel bad about most of my games, a little bit of encouragement would go a long way!!!

Maqan Sárkány |

Well that's one hell of a thing to wake up to! XD
Sorry if I'm falling behind... With the pandemic my work has been crazy and I just find time when I can. They keep changing the schedule at work, we actually just started a new schedule this week, because we don't have enough people and corporate won't let us hire anymore help for the time being. I'll do my best to do better.

Hegron |

Wolf, also you do not post every day, and it has happened more than once that you go for a few days at once without posting.
So I am not sure I am understanding the need for all the caps, and "yelling"?
If you believe there is something wrong or insufficient with my post rate vs yours, please feel free to address me on it. I would find it preferable.
Also sometimes I get the feeling there is only one avenue of events we are supposed to follow, and the rest of the action happening around it is somewhat "ignored", dialog left without follow up, completion, etc. Perhaps allowing multiple avenues/threads to happen simultaneously would engage more with the players?
Since we are voicing opinions out loud, that is mine.

Hegron |

If we are going over particular cases, after releasing the slaves I was in the middle of a conversation with Jade that never finished - I was waiting for her to reply. That is why I did not move forward.
I don't want this to be about nitpicking - all I am saying is the responsibility for the game lies on both sides of the virtual 'table'.
Sometimes you go for a stretch without posting, then you get on the forums with a lot of availability, and you expect quick responses - however this is not always possible for the players.
Reverse side of the coin - sometimes players will also go for a stretch without posting. I am fine with pushing for at least one post a day, but then all must be on board at least the majority of the time (barring the obvious RL issues, of course) - players and GM.

Saronis |

"You speaking SH!T ABOUT MY SISTER AGAIN!!!!" lol
Urdrsk you rascal, I almost posted this in gameplay!

GM Wolf |

Hegron wrote:So, check the loot first, see if there is anything good :D Then go after Urdrsk and Maqan - explain them the situation, see if they have any ideas. Then father Albus.?
Dude, honestly both of you. At this point why do we have a discussion thread when you blatantly use gameplay for it. If you are not going to add to gameplay then you should post HERE!
Now that is out of the way... Hegron you posted that in OOC, so I wasn't really sure what you were saying. You are more than welcome to sift through the loot in the cage but you didn't collect any of it and really fight any of the bandits... just saying.
I am assuming you were writing out what you had planned to do. But then you didn't post anything in GAMEPLAY that moved you towards any of those things. Sure we could just hand wave it all... is that what you were meaning?
Yes I may not have been explaining what Saronis or the other NPCs are doing in great detail. But give me a shot I will see if this helps... give me a hour.

Maqan Sárkány |

Take the time you need boss. I always do!
Also I thought someone would give me an answer before the hour was up so I could just slap an actual reply over it. Didn't happen that way. I'll just keep it here from now on.

Hegron |

Hey GM Wolf, apologies if the OOC post rubbed you the wrong way - fact is the 'scenes' seem a little too detached and sparsely detailed for me, like the environment, and so forth.
So my OOC post was a way to try and get a better feel for the area, characters, situation, etc. By ushering you for more descriptive posts.
In retrospect, I think I am probably not the player you need to push this one forward as you would like, and it seems clear more often than not I do not understand the situation, or the flow of the game.
For that reason I want to apologize, but I will bow out of the game - I think it has a lot of potential, and I am sure you will find others to better complement the play style. Best of luck, and game on!

Urdrsk Stoneward |

No! Please stay! Wolf's campaigns are highly imaginative and fun! I like the Urdrsk/Hegron dynamic, and you got a emerald girlfriend! Stick around!

GM Wolf |

I think it is a bit my fault for leaving it too open. I am going to pull on the reigns and get this game going again. It is always your choice to leave if you want, especially when you are not having fun.
It is just my main pet peeve when players post ooc material with no gameplay post to go with it.
So I was planning on giving you guys some options but instead, I want you to tell me what you do for the rest of the day before the bandits wake up. I am going to say you have 14 hours and should spend 8 of it sleeping.
Exercise, spar, etc.
Sleep
Help the injured
Mine
Blacksmith, weaponsmith, armorsmith
Work on learning a language
Find some company, drinks!, food!
Probably three 4 hour shifts with an extra 2 hour shift.
Unless someone has a major drive to do something else?!?

Urdrsk Stoneward |

Urdrsk will first attend to the injured, making sure they have ample space to sleep, eat, and rest. Then to work out some aggression, Urdrsk will train/spar with his new waraxe, taking pointers for whoever has experience. And just rest his weary bones and sleep.

GM Wolf |

I hope Hegron stays, but if not we can three man it. Each of the PCs might want to put out a few feelers to see if you have any friends that might want to join. We could use a healer of some kind. Or a sorcerer with use magic device. Or an artificer, that would help Amris as I am reshaping him into a reskinned warforge!

Hegron |

Hey GM Wolf and team, thank you very much for the kind words of encouragement, and telling me to stay in the game.
I hope you guys are not offended by it, but I am going to stick with my decision - I am really having a hard time understanding the balance of the game, and it will be disruptive for all.
I do agree GM Wolf has a ton of good ideas, and an 'out of the box' approach to GMing which is very unique. So I am sure there will be no lack of takers if you guys open recruitment again.
Wolf, one question - I know you have ran Kingmaker in the past (perhaps it is still going). Have you considered running another AP?
