Emdi votes to stabilize.
"There may be good in him yet."
Emdi has rope to tie him up, and he can ride in the cart with the bodies.

"Klatzu vote take prisoner! Might know missing Pathfinders!" Klatzu will volunteer to Stabilize the prisoner before unceremoniously stowing his holy symbol in a pocket. After a moment of thought, Klatzu looks for any holy symbols the necromancer might have been using for spells, and will smash any he finds. After a minute or so, Klatzu will stand back up, stow his Greatsword, and spit.
"Back to work, Chop-Chop Squad!" the goblin calls, before hurriedly scrambling back to position around the statue.

Bellamin unceremoniously drops the necromancer to the ground and gives Hiro a grateful nod. Following after the goblin, he says "I agree with Klatzu. He may have valuable information."

![]() |

"Let's take him prisoner, but if we have to cut him loose in order to escape the undead closing in on us.... I'll sleep well at night."
Hiro bows to Bellamin, "You would do the same for me."

![]() |

"Speaking of which, should we heal before we go, just in case?"

GM Rinaldo |

Let me know when you are ready to move out again. You still need to get the statue into the wagon, and ensure everything you want has been loaded.

![]() |

Emdi is down 9 and Bellamin 8. Emdi does not have Medicine and has used up Lay on Hands. But for every 10 min we are willing to wait, Emdi can Refocus and use Lay on Hands.

![]() |

If you're okay doing it on the way, Emdi is too. Let's just head out.
We haven't subtracted anything from the list od things we are going to take and we've added a bound and gagged necromancer.

![]() |

"It's distasteful but I think we should bring him with us. He might have the information we need to locate the rest of our colleagues"
Let's take the necromancer prisoner and move out of here. If interrogation is an option let's ask him where the rest of the Pathfinders are

GM Rinaldo |

I realized at this point it doesn't matter - we're done. I won't make you waste resources, and taking extra time no longer makes a difference.
Interrogation of the prisoner is beyond the scope of the scenario. Assume it is done at the lodge by people other than yourselves. :-)
You tie up the necromancer and load him and the statue onto the cart. The weight of the statue makes the cart creak and groan, but you take the path carefully, and manage to keep the cart moving.
After several hours that are thankfully uneventful, you finally reach the lodge. You find Venture-Captain Zongnoss casting healing spells on a few pathfinders. She is excited to see your return, and once she finishes with the team she is healing, she asks you to tell her what you found, and in particular if you recovered any of the missing agents.
Besides being an opportunity to recount your tale, this is also where you state to Evni whose remains you have and what items you recovered. This goes toward your success conditions.

"Good-voice friend forget Klatzu sign! Veeeeery important!"
Also pretty sure there's some historical documents and other such stuff that Klatzu wouldn't care about.

GM Rinaldo |

Bravo, Emdi, that is awesome!
However, for purposes of checking off the checkboxes, a simple list of items and names would be helpful. ;-)

Emdi bows and invites everyone to an underground rave that he's organizing. "Location TBD, meet at the docks at midnight and someone will lead you to the location. Cover charge is 5 sp, waived if you can cast dancing lights."
Emdi hands out a few fliers and more than a few fist bumps. He offers a flier to Evni, who steams silently while giving Emdi the stink eye.
"Oh. We're not done?"
Evni hands him some forms to fill out in triplicate. Emdi sighs.

I'll go through the thread (again!) to find minor items but people are going to have to post what they used during the adventure.
Also, to be clear, for at least me, this is my first 2e PbP, so there's going to be some ambiguity about what a VC cares about. Are we supposed to list encounters, like "there are undead"? Things we learned, like "the roof collapsed"?

GM Rinaldo |

This is for your specific scenario requirements, not about the story of what you did. In the briefing you were asked to look for the missing pathfinders and to recover relics and items of significance from the town and college. To determine how well you met that goal, I need to know what names you are assigning to the bodies you found, and what items you are turning over. I'll compare that to a checklist I have, and your success will be based on that.

![]() |

Adding to my list:
herbs, candles, and oils: apothecary
wayfinder with no initials: chapel
leftover oats?: general store
two minor healing potions: from Larraz's horse
notebook: from outside college
channel protection amulet: offices
holy water: dorms
dusty jewelry: dorms
Revising:
the horse was named Desert Wind
the sign was specifically the Flaming Wheel sign
the cold iron buckler was from the guardhouse
I've gone through the whole thread twice now, so I'm going to say that's the limit of Emdi's clerical skills.

GM Rinaldo |

Evni solemnly listens to your debriefing, and seems amused at Emdi's use of song to recount your adventure. She asks that you return any belongings of the Pathfinders you found so they can be delivered to the fallen’s families— notably the Pathfinders’ wayfinders.
Evni also promises that she will do her best to find if the other bodies you recovered have any surviving loved ones.
The documents and texts are all of great use to the Society, but the statue in particular amazes Evni, to the point that she wonders out loud the effort required to transport such a thing across the Gravelands.
Evni offers to either return Larraz back home to Katapesh or to look for more peaceful locations to reassign him. Larraz politely declines the invitation for further adventures, at least for now, wishing only to return home to his family and take a long break.
Agents representing the Envoys’ Alliance faction return the remains of the fallen Pathfinders to their families across the world, and thank you for your efforts on behalf of your comrades.
