Sorry for my lack of posting, I'm dealing with a case of laryngitis that just isn't going away, which of course makes dictation difficult/impossible. (I seem to get sick every year around this time, on top of my normal issues.)

I hope everybody had a great Christmas and has a fantastic new year! I think I've almost shaken this respiratory infection, assuming it doesn't start to get worse again now that the antibiotics are over.

I'm going to give it a few more days, just to be safe, before I fully dive back in, and I'll try to better keep you updated.

I PM'd everyone else with this message to see if anyone else is still in this, hope that will restart this.

I hadn't noticed that about the vision types, thanks for the comment! That makes so much more sense. It really annoyed me the old way, with limited range that seemed so arbitrary.

Negative on COVID and been out of the hospital a couple of days, but still coughing up a storm. No voice and this post is about all the typing I can manage right now. Sorry! :( Will be back ASAP!

I'm very sorry for the huge delays. My cough is finally starting to go away, though I'm still having the occasional coughing fit. I going to need a few days yet, I think. :(

I'm still slow at posting right now. My niece has been in intensive care for two weeks now with outcome uncertain. I have been giving support to my sister and to my niece's husband and children at this time. I do want to continue but I'm very drained right now so posting will be light. The game should proceed as all see fit and I hope to return to a reasonable schedule soon.

How is your niece doing, Silas?

Also, sorry for my own absence. I've been sick as well, the kind of sick where I've been spending a lot of time sleeping. Apparently, at one point I dreamed telling everybody that I was going to be away, because I was sure I had done it.

Starting to feel a little better, but I'm not sure how long it's going to last. I'll try to get a post out in a couple of days.

Thank you for asking GM Fobok. My niece is doing better she is out of ICU and even the hospital but is now in an assisted living facility and will be for some unknown but long time. She is still very weak and vulnerable but that is much better condition that even a week ago. The family is still in a bit of chaos but hopefully that get sorted soon.

Sorry to have been away so long. It's been difficult for my family and all my attention has been elsewhere.

My niece spent weeks bouncing in and out of the hospital until the doctors could do no more. No further surgeries will be safe. Progress will be very slow at best, taking months to years or never to regain the health she had. Don't mean to be a downer which is much of the reason I didn't post this earlier. Lately however she does seem to me improving a bit, getting around on her scooter, and being a bit more active. So there is some hope for improvement.

I'm still monitoring this thread, so when you can resume I will eventually respond, still a PM to alert would not hurt, if possible.

Totally understandable, Silas. I hope she continues to improve, and I'll let you know!

Alright, as for the update: I'm not sure my voice will ever be stable, but, if you guys don't mind waiting a bit longer I can probably have a new post up in the next couple of weeks, and if all goes well I might be up to posting weekly again by sometime in January, possibly sooner. Maybe even speeding up from there, if I'm lucky.

I started physiotherapy about two months ago, and I've improved quite a bit. So, I think I will soon be able to type my posts, given just a bit more work. It will still be quite slow at first, since I'll have limited stamina and will probably be spreading out each post over multiple days of typing, boosted by those rare days when I do have enough voice to dictate. But, it should be much faster than waiting months like now, and if my strength continues to improve this pacing should also improve.

I had a bit of voice today, but I thought this explanation was more important to post.

Glad to hear she is making improvements Silas and will keep her in my prayers.

Cautiously optimistic with things moving in the right direction for the rest of this year and continuing in this New Year to come. Its been a crazy year and I for one am ready for my biggest problem to be if I choose completely stupid spells to start off with.

Thanks for all your good wishes and prayers. My niece continues to slowly improve she may be able to return to work by spring. I'm a little under the weather for now, winter is not so good for me.

Also thanks to you Elisdriel for jogging my elbow, and I agree that for next year to be better lets have all the stupid and horrible things happen to fictional characters and the all the living have a great and blessed year.

Many people have, it's claimed to be fixed but he needs to clear his Paizo cookie out. New ones are needed and the old ones interfere.

It is with a sad heart that I pass on the message that Fobok has passed away. He was a great friend and will be missed. I knew him since the 90s and he has always been an amazing friend, going the extra mile, and creating a fun environment for everyone.

I'm very sorry to hear that; you have my condolences. I quite liked what little I got to experience of this game.

My condolences as well. Though circumstance made his posts few he did them well.
