I've long been for this. PbP being what it is, with attrition and such, there are two possibilities. Either some people will drop out, in which case taking too many at first makes you look like a long-sighted genius, or the posting from everyone will be quick and bracing and energetic, in which case you look like a long-sighted genius with an eye for talent.

Those of you who are fully ready (I can get the list from my end sometime today, but I think you know who you are) with both crunch and fluff, jump on in. A few of you still need some fluff so I have things to work with, lol. Otherwise I'm taking all current submissions.

If you have stumbled on this thread just now and are sorry to have missed things, I'm honestly working on A) a Starfinder conversion of some sort for the heck of it using new classes and replacing species with human or clan phenotypes, and B) you still might want to just dot because who knows what will happen in the future.


We had such a flurry of techs at first, but none have checked in yet, lol.

At the moment we have three mechwarriors and our super spy. Where the rest at? ;)

Sorry. I was at the World Scout Jamboree, my phone got SOAKED in the rain, and my phone STILL says it has water on the charge port! Just got home today. Give me a little more time today, and Chang can check in if you want him to, since none of the Techs showed up!


We do have one tech, but more are super helpful and there is exactly one seat left on the shuttle, lol, so you should be good.

I hate that, btw. My phone will get a tiny drop of water in the charge port and refuses to let me plug it in for hours afterwards. Sure, it can be a useful protective feature, but overly sensitive sensors and software that refuses to let go of the flag is aggravating. If you're sure it's dry, shut if off a few minutes and bring it back up plugged in already. Hat sometimes does the trick for me.

Gunner:
Mykel "Gunner" Nelson was born on York in the Alarion Province in 3028. He was top of his class and his exemplary marks in his technical courses earned him a berth at the War College of Buena. He was an excellent student, and his marks reflected his aptitude for both Mech combat and maintenance. He graduated with his pick of assignments, and went to the 10th Lyran Guards as a freshly minted Leutnant. He ws promoted after his commander took notice of his professionalism and drive. He piloted his Griffin as the commander of a recon/pursuit lance. Then the Clans came. He fought as best he could against the marauding horde, but knew the battle was lost. His company retreated, delaying the enamy as best as they could, trying to earn Prince Victor as much time as they could for him to escape. Gunner's Mech was hit with a barrage of missiles and he had to punch out, but his chute misfired and he landed awkwardly, breaking his leg and sustaining a massive concussion. He was picked up by a retreating tank crew, and evacuated with the other survivors. He was in the medbay for an extended period of time, his concussion giving him double vision. Not being allowed to pilot again, he was decommissioned. He sought out a doctor for a second opinion, and got his double vision cured. Able to pilot again, he is looking for any chance to take the fight back to the Clans if he can.

Alright, it might be just a couple of days but it's very for a way to get you in pretty quick. The group just needs to wrap up the current scene more or less. I am going to get you something so I can start bringing you in ASAP, so just keep your eyes open!

Are you still looking for players?


I'm not not looking for more folks...but they're sort of locked into a big thing and the opportunities to write someone in are scant at the second unless someone specifically was interested in being some sort of spy currently undercover with a Lyran extremist group or a dishonored Jade Falcon who somehow defects (I could see a captured JF bondsman from the Inner Sphere making a sort of escape attempt...)

A little spoiler in the next part of the story my current players should avoid!:
The next "episode" takes place more in space and will finally involve aerotech fighters in a confrontation with a powerful pirate queen along the Rim. Anyone added to the group at this point would be picked up at the edge of Lyran space or deeper in the periphery.


Jade Falcon Defector sound pretty cool. let me think...
