"'Commandeering' is the word you're looking for," Ansha says. "And transporting us to the island certainly seems like proper recompense for freeing you."
| GM Amsheagar |
Khanuur thanks Ansha for the knowledge he had lost and with nothing else to get, Khanuur sends you to the island.
A small dock offers several cleats and mooring poles for docking smaller boats, such as fishing vessels and very small single mast ships. A large sloop, configured for hauling cargo, is anchored near the dock. A large pile of lumber peaks out from a tarp, just past the tree line. Several storage sheds dot the area, most of them looking poorly built or neglected. In the distance, you can see a ship anchored what appears to be almost half a mile away (600km). Looking inland, you can see an Estate somewhat distance inside.
Where will you go? What will you do? Will you awake the Dragon.. you don’t want to awaken the dragon.

Ansha looks around, silently kicking herself for not wishing to be smarter or more charismatic, or to be irresistible to men, or fabulously wealthy, or....
"Someone went to the trouble of employing magic to create this harbor- looks like the only way in or out is in a small ship or boat," she notes. Pointing to the estate in the distance, she says, "I suppose that's our destination."
Sickly

Sickly bristle at the mere thought of owing Corvius a favor... much less the fact he expects six favors for the one they are asking for.
So when the man leaves, and the others start talking about freeing the efreeti... for the first time, he doesn't immediately ponder objecting. Though he is not at all fond of the 'lesser of two evils' excuse, he doesn't say anything about that either, just inwardly worries.
Of course, once Khannur shifts them all to a new location, he seems to get more worried, though this time not about the efreeti, but about what allergens this new location might contain that he had not prepared for. Of course, that worry only gets worse, when they are suddenly transported to the island, in the middle of the ocean.
Um... pretty sure half a mile isn't 600 kilometers =)
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
The salty air coming off the ocean, sends him into a sneezing fit (again), and he takes a moment to rub sub kind of greasy substand under his nose, before it calms down.
Seeing no sign of where the excavation site or sites, might be... he 's not sure where the place to start is.
"If we find the slaves..." He winces slightly, his words trailing off, before he adds more. "They'd know stuff."
He points towards the nearby storage sheds. "Maybe a map there? Not all workers would know the layout." He adds, before lapsing back into his usual snuffling silence.

Very odd, nobody here to greet us? Or challenge us? I am sorry to say, I see more of the latter these days. But here? Nothing? That seems unusual.
Wembly taps on the glowing green gem on his forehead, but decides it is not yet time to summon Whiskers...fearing the green planar cat may scare the locals...if any are to be found.

As you search the huts on the pier, you find nothing of interest. You locate a small dingie Small row boat and decide to go to the boat you see in the harbor.
Once you arrive on the boat, you easily climb up onto the deck and see several crew members doing ship maintenance. No Map for this part.. How do you want to handle this?
Wembly Templeton

How long does it take to reach the other boat? Archon lasts for 8 minutes after it scanned the dock etc for evil.
Wow. I am puzzled if everyone just evacuated? Are they all in the harbor or is something still here that chased them away?

"You there!" Ansha calls out to one of the nearest crewmen as the party arrives on-deck, her tone imperious as she channels her inner elven noblewoman. "The boss--Master Phlegos--wants a status report. Have you offloaded everything from the latest shipment? Let me see the latest shipping manifest." She pauses, then cuts off any questions they may have with: "Yes, yes, I'm new. He'll hardly be happy if that delays the answers he seeks, however."

They should be loaded in the next few hours and we'll be ready to go before the days end... If he would like to join us, there would be room for him on the ship."
| GM Amsheagar |
Okay, calling that there.
After some more back and forth, you are convinced that the ship will be there when you are ready to leave.
You are heading to the estate now. As you approach this two story house, you notice several windows on the upper and lower floors. As you move in closer, you can tell that it hasn't been kept in the best of shape. It has several windows boarded up on the side that you can see.
How do you want to proceed? Make any appropriate rolls.

Wembly, having returned to shore and dismissing his summoned archon buddy, decides riding Whiskers may be better in the country than walking alone.
He sits and presses the green gem on his forhead and with a glow and a flash, the green planar cat appears next to him with a purr.
He mounts the beast. Whiskers, you haven't missed much yet. Just water and boats, which you've never liked. Well, water in a bowl you like. But not the sailing kind of water. Or swimming.

Where is the yelling coming from? (ie: inside or outside the house?)
Sickly stays well away from the dogs, his allergies were not up to that sort of stress right now.
He starts for the door, but pulls up short when Wembly and his overly furry feline friend beat him too it. The dwarf quickly backs away from them as well, frowning slightly
Waiting to see if the door actually opens! =)

The outside doors are unlocked and open easily. Allowing you to enter into the entrance room. The yelling is coming from deeper in the house. It has been 1 round since the dogs started barking.
The doors on the inside are also easily open with a move action. Right now, Someone opened the outer doors. and Selter is in the main entrance room.
