Sunrise Maiden takes off, with Tiktik hurriedly working on shielding the life signatures of the ship, Talek calculating the route, and B-Bop flying for dear life.
"If we don't survive this, let me be the first to say I have enjoyed having you as my captains." Sunny says suddenly, before winking out of existance to finish her duties.
Exiting the atmosphere of the first controller moon, the space around the planet is in chaos. Debris is everywhere, as dozens of frigate-sized Kishalee drones swarm the Corpse Fleet. The wreck of several small Eoxian ships fills the air with splinters of metal and bone. Behind its screen of cruisers, battleships, and carriers, the Empire of Bones glitters almost beautifully with cold fire as row upon row of capital weapons fire, sending lances of turbolaser fire and swarms of tracking weapons out at the assembled ships that represent the Kishalee empire's last, glorious battle.
Cutting power, Sunny drifts toward the Empire of Bones. Several passing Eoxian ships take shots at her, but in the chaos of the scrum she's soon forgotten, continuing to slide through space toward the massive ultradreadnought.
Several more blasts rake down the side, as a cruiser detaches from combat with the Kishalee drones and turns to engage Sunny with its banks of heavy particle beams. The ship shudders, and the emergency lighting flickers, but the cruiser goes up in a lightless explosion as several drone ships pounce on it, unleashing blasts of their disruption cannons that send metal, bone trooper marines, and an officer corps of ageless liches spraying into the vacuum.
B-Bop is able to make handful of course adjustments, activating short, precise bursts of Sunny's thrusters, and the she glides into one of the hangar bays aboard the massive ship, shuddering to a halt as the capital ships artificial gravity kicks in.
"We sustained some hull damage, and it'll take some time for the shields to be restored, but we have arrived. I didn't expect us to survive that."
Ragabash Lupo
"Timing shall be of the essence here. Let us move with all due haste."

"I'm not familiar enough with engineering of Eoxian vessels to know for sure, but I would assume we could gain control either in main engineering or the bridge. Talek, you seem the most familiar with Eoxian technology? Or Tiktik, you're quite good with machines of all types?"

Sorry, guys, busy couple of days and a new book and all. But hear we go!
Dull red lights illuminate this massive chamber. A heavy crane arm dangles from tracks on the ceiling, and empty racks for small fighter ships line the fore and aft walls. A nearly invisible force field covers the gaping hole in the starboard end of the room, while two large doors exit to the port. In addition, there is a large window to the port looking into an enclosed room. The floor holds a dozen iris hatches, each fifteen feet in diameter.
As expected, there appears to be no active life support, although the ship does have a level of artificial gravity comparable to Absalom Station, and while the lighting leaves something to be desired, you can at least see where you are going. Dim lighting, unless someone wants to activate your own light sources.
A shocked looking corpse marine gives you an awkward little wave as he mashes a button at a nearby console.
Tiktik "Overclock"
Tiktik eagerly returns the wave.
Ragabash Lupo
"If we gain control of the console quickly we may be able to convince those on the other end of a false alarm." Ragsbsays as he readies himself for battle.
