I was starting to think there was a Hangouts discussion I wasn't getting for some reason (maybe I accidentally disabled it while I'm on the road).
Good luck HMM. Catch up with us when you're ready.
BTW, are you allowed to tell us about your freelance work for Paizo?
GM Hmm
I am allowed to tell you that I am doing freelance work for Paizo. I am allowed to tell you that the freelance work is for Starfinder projects. But all projects are NDA, so I cannot talk about them until they are published. Two of the books that I worked on have been announced though, so I'm looking forward to telling you more when they come out!

All good, Captain.
Do as you need and don't feel overwhelmed at all to progress us. :)
Lots of love!
Minos the Techno-Philosopher
Yay. I was begining to worry. But it allowed be to catch up on my other games.
GM Hmm
I will start us up again tonight. But yeah, we'll likely be slow until the end of PaizoCon.
GM Hmm
Putting us on Hiatus until May 27 or 28. Dealing with stuff as a VC while trying to prep for PaizoCon means I am too distracted to compose or post.
GM Hmm
Were you at PaizoCon? I'm sorry I missed you.
I'm going to try to get us back into the swing of things once I unpack both bags and brains from PaizoCon.
Hmm
GM Hmm
Does he ever? No, seriously, he was great.
Hmm
Minos the Techno-Philosopher
I am still unpacking my brain. Also catching up with the few annoyances that piled up while I was away from the office.

Take all the recovery time you guys need. I'm running multiple PBP modules right now and prepping for local gameplay also, so I am staying busy :)
GM Hmm
I am trying to compose a summary post to get us all situated back in the scene, but I'm also dealing with a bunch of VC stuff. Including the 'Report it now' request that I just announced.
Hmm
Wint
Wow. That sounds absolutely terrifying.
I really, really, really hope that there is no tumor. Failing that, that it is operable.
Good luck
GM Hmm
A Tumor?
Kyle... Oh dear. I really hope you're alright.
Hmm
GM Hmm
This strikes me as a good place to level you all up. Feel free to level up to 4, and post here any changes.
I've given permission to two players to retrain, so if there's something you really want gone, feel free to retrain it!

It is all for the purpose of deciding who my Combat Bond buddy will be since I am now level 4 and my archetype allows it. Harrowing Fire becomes +4 instead of +2 between the person I select and myself.

Human feat -> Improved Initiative
3rd level feat -> Quick Draw
Skill rank upgrades denoted by *

Wint is an operative :-). So, he is a switch hitter and can melee or use ranged as appropriate. Probably not the best at either, mind

Prosper's all about the harrying/covering fire. Interestingly, Prosper and Rush have the same archetype, so we actually have two Combat Bonds to assign. Based on our RP at the end of Book 1, I was planning on having Prosper bond to Dalinar to start with. Switching the bond is only a 1 hour activity, so we can certainly switch it around if its more helpful that way.

In which case, I will take Spec since it is a Standard Action and could save him some spells when he feels they aren't necessary. To start out with, anyways.
Prosperity "Prosper" Starr
Prosper Level 4:
+1 BAB, REF, WILL, RP
A bunch of skills ranked up
Combat Bond feature from archetype:
You can train together with an ally whose Intelligence score is at least 1, forming a combat bond between you and the target creature. This training process takes 1 hour, and you can have only one bonded ally at a time. If you form a new combat bond with a creature, any previously formed combat bond is lost. No creature can be the bonded ally of two centurions.
At 10th level, you can spend 1 Resolve Point to form a combat bond with an ally who can see or hear you as a standard action.
Whenever you gain a bonus from covering fire or harrying fire provided by your bonded ally (or vice versa), the bonus increases to +4. When you are the captain of a ship and successfully use the encourage action on your bonded ally (or vice versa), the bonus granted increases to +4.
Right now, her Combat Bond is set up with Dalinar. This means I'll be angling to use Fire Support right before Dalinar acts so that he can get a juicy +4 on his next attack roll against his intended target. If someone else attacks the target in between Prosper and Dalinar, the bonus is only +2. Also, if Prosper has provided Fire Support and the creature chooses to attack Dalinar, he gets a +4 bonus to AC vs. the first attack, instead of only +2.
Furthermore, if we end up in a ship combat, when Dalinar encourages Prosper, she gets a +4 to her gunnery rather than +2. Wow.

Yes, I was at a convention, and then unpacking from the convention, but I should have posted something in discussion. We're back in business now.

My brain is also deep into reading. GenCon prep has my bandwidth extremely spaced out, and I find myself using my time off at home to just shut down.
GM Hmm
GenCon came and went. So... Let's figure out where we were in this crazy storyline, and let's get going!
GM Hmm
Welcome to Book Three at long last. Woot!
Prosperity "Prosper" Starr
I'm not sure. HMM had a whole bunch of work intervene back a couple of months ago, followed by con season (and prep for Gameday). So I've been figuring we're just waiting for all that to die down.
GM Hmm
Yeah, there's been stuff going on in the background. Let's get restarted tonight. I'd like to get you through this book!
Serious: if you decide you want a faster GM, I am willing to step aside, but I would love to see you guys to the end of this AP.
Hmm
Wint
I've got no problems with the occassional slow spot. I'll definitely stick with you!
Prosperity "Prosper" Starr
No sense forcing it if you don't have time HMM. I'd much rather play when you're able to give it your all.
And as for replacements, I would definitely not want to replace you! I can't imagine another GM being able to pick up the reins. :>
