As always, if you want to change your PC build, I'm open to most changes. I want you to have fun.
Glad you liked the ghouls. There's more gross stuff coming up when you go into the belly of the whale haha.
I am all in for an in-person meeting for the finale. It might take a little adjusting to using our PCs in person but we can manage. I will definitely be thinking of that as I design the final encounter to fit best within a single sit-down session. We typically go through about 8-9 combats in a 5 hour session. Would ya'll be interested in a single, big bad boss encounter taking up the whole session, or would you rather have 3-4 smaller encounters to get warmed up before the big bad boss encounter takes up the final 2 hours of the night? (obviously this is very conjectural as I've not written it yet, and it is likely a full year away.)
As for Roccavisk, as you can tell, I'm not into playing her lately, ha ha. I have a plan for her and her haunted objects after the Chimera Cove section, and am considering retiring her or rebuilding her from the ground up. (It was easier to run a GMNPC when they're a low level.)

Note: all halflings carry apple's in their packs as thrown weapons or food, whichever need is greater.

sorry for the delay guys, ended up catching overtime last week and was way more backed up on LIFE stuff than expected. I plan to be back to posting regular, probably late nights as it had been mostly though.
As for a finale in person, that would be a blast.

Sounds reasonable.

I'm also down for an in-person finale as well!

Well, put it on your calendars, except that we don't know what date, ha ha.
Also Extra Ki Power feat seems fine to me. (sorry, forgot about that question.)
GM Mervikoth
I'm real bad at allocating treasure. How's your Wealth by Level? While I won't ask if you want more magic items (because the answer is always yes), is your Wishlist on the Campaign Tracker up to date?
Arbaro Stuartavelli
I'm up for more weird items that only half make sense for our characters (like my new boots!) I hope to find reasons to use them!
I need to check Arbaro's inventory to see if there are any items lying around that I've forgotten he has.
GM Mervikoth
Also I haven't been able to find a good small island map, so we will be using our imagination again.
Thurl Wisdombringer
Let me know which boots you guys picked up and I'll record it in the campaign tracker and get those wealth by level numbers.
Also, did anyone take the Runechill Hatchets?
We started at level 6 (16,000) and we are level 8 (33,000) right now (17,000 difference which should equal about what we have assigned).
Thurl Wisdombringer
I just now found the boots I think I want. Thurl is going to go for Stagger-Proof Boots
Thurl Wisdombringer
So, I’m noticing that the campaign tracker calculates value of items kept based on sell value, which doesn’t make sense to me, I think it should be based on buy value.
Thurl Wisdombringer
I grabbed one of the hatchets, just in case I needed a magic slashing weapon
What about boots?
Thurl Wisdombringer
Here’s the update on wealth by level not including Lem’s boots.
We are looking at a 17,000 increase from our starting point. I’m not including consumables for ease of calculation.
Arbaro has 6,600
Bragoleb has 26,800
Lem has ~18,140
Thurl has 16,000
We have ~34,000 in coin and items to sell.
Looks like we need to give Arbaro a big boost, but we’ve got the coin to do that with out more treasure. We could actually get us all evened out to approximately brag’s level if we just distribute what we already have. This would actually put us all at about the level needed for level 9.
So, Arbaro should spend about 18,500, Thurl 8,500 and Lem about 7,000. These are mostly approximates and I’m not concerned about exactly matching each other’s numbers exactly.
Arbaro Stuartavelli
I must have not added some of the items Arbaro is carrying to the sheet. My YAPCG character sheet says I'm sitting at 27,000/33,000 for level 8. I could spend 6k though if I think about it for a day or two.

I took the healing boots, I forget the name, have to stand on the ground for them to work, and im harder to knock down I think...

@Thurl Wisdombringer:
Because of the timing of when we post and our individual availability to post, would you be for or against the rest of us assuming that Thurl will grant the "Inspire courage activated-Allies within earshot of Thurl: +2 competence bonus to attack/damage, +2 Morale bonus on saves vs Charm or Fear effects" bonuses at the beginning of each combat encounter?
That +2 would have meant several more hits in many past and current encounters. Brag often posts to keep the game flow moving knowing it would be better to wait. What do you think? What do the others think? GM?
Sincerely,
Bragoleb the Halfling
Thurl Wisdombringer
I'm fine with that, we could always retroactively take it off if I do something different.

I'm back! And need sleep!
Bragoleb
I can't wait to see how this grab, pull, and run scenario plays out. This is quite fun!
Thanks, oh, Mighty GM.
Thurl Wisdombringer
Everything ok at the GM Mervikoth house?
GM Mervikoth
Umbracopy, that's the name.
I'm still waiting for someone to get my joke with how I named her.
Bragoleb
I thought we'd already figured out the "Umbra" = Shadow and "copy" = fax. Or did you mean something else that we don't get?
See post 1544.
GM Mervikoth
Oh. Oops. Yep.

Sorry for the late entry to the fight. Work has consistently said for more than a year that it's "not possible" for us to work from home, but suddenly, yesterday we are told we'll be working from home. I think posting more regularly will become easier.
Arbaro Stuartavelli
Yeah, I had a discussion a year ago about working from home a day or two a week. I was told no because they didn't want a bunch of other people finding out and wanting to WFH as well. They trusted me but not the others that might take advantage of working from home. "If you don't trust them, why did you hire them and continue to employ them?"
Anyway, now we're 1/2 WFH...
GM Mervikoth
"It's not possible, Lem, it's just not possible!"
One year later.
"Okay I guess it's technically possible..."
GM Mervikoth
UPDATE
So, gather the four missing relics, return them to their rightful places in the crypt, and then Roccavisk will cast the spell to cure Kamalani's spirit. Doing so will take hours... as wave after wave of hellish enemies assault the Temple of Theseus.
Find:
Lion-Cloak
Kill bad guys in crypt's rooms:
Theseus
Perseus
Heracles
Bellerophon
Defend the Temple vs. Waves of Enemies
You need to check out:
The plains around the area.
Islands of the Goat, the Lion, and the Dragon.
Those lazy dragon hunters at the inn.
Maybe those cobbler halflings again?
GM Mervikoth
Gruck, can you post a pdf of your character sheet to the Drive folder? Thanks.
Also welcome. While COVID-19 may be getting us down, this CORVID-8 should pick us back up.
Bragoleb
Clicking Preview for your post will essentially do the same. It will show you the most recent posts and a preview of your post. That way you can see what you typed and what others may have posted while you were composing your post.

Let's see:
A -5' 0"
B - 3' 4"
G - 4' 6"
L - 3' 10"
T - ? (couldn't find this, but he's a dwarf and not tall)
We should call ourselves the Shorty Smalls or something similarly height referencing.

Catchphrase: "Always looking up."
Arbaro Stuartavelli
Catchphrase: "Nowhere to go but up!"
@Gruck, we do that all the time. I've forgotten to hit "submit" and done it hours later. Only to find I sound like a crazy person.
The Edit button is also very helpful
Bragoleb
Note about the edit button, it goes away after an hour - if you refresh the screen - or if someone else posts after you.
Bragoleb
I had mentioned an "in person" gathering to finish out our campaign. I'm kind of missing any and all in person stuff. Hope you guys are surviving with your families and staying well.
GM Mervikoth
We could try a Zoom session or something. I know there are other programs that utilize dice rolling, however. Zoom does not.
