Bringing this over to the new page. Ayako will cast See Invisibility as a precaution as well.
You will not be able to cast in combat spells like Good Hope until combat has ensued. Don't worry, it will happen.
Vavakia Demon: ower body of a spine-backed quadrupedal dinosaur, complete with spiked tail, the demonic creature has the upper body of a muscular humanoid. Its powerful arms wield an immense ranseur while tremendous draconic wings unfurl from its back. The creature’sc head—part dragon, part saurian, part demon—is a nightmare of horns and fangs and cruel, glowing eyes. They are Huge outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar).
Nalashnee Demons; A towering, corpulent beast, this fiend has the hideous head of a boar and arms ending in fatty, four-fingered hands. CE Huge outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar). Resistant to physical damage that is not good, immune. to electricty and poison, resistant to acid, cold, fire, and magic. They can create an unholy nimbus of light around themselves, which will burst into a dazing flash causing targets to be overwhelmed insanity. They can also cast several spells at will, such as call lightning, greater dispel magic, and feeblemind.
Of the Sibilant Twins, you know nothing.

So Conjuration Master E, you think it's time for that stoneskin?
And then more generally to the rest of the group.
So, the plan is "we see the big demon, Obs and I charge and hit it with sharp objects while the rest of you dump violence on it and good things on us as necessary"?

Ok, for the sake of moving on, I will start the encounter with Warlord Gal-Horvasch
The team moves out to attack the Warlord Gal-Horvasch. As you approach, you see the demon smash its way through a company of crusader cavalry... it notices you approaching and calls out "You puny mortals think that you can best the Warlord Gal-Horvasch? Many have tried, yet I still live. You cannot fathom the power of the ABYSS!"

Just loud enough for the demon to hear.
It’s so cute! Like a big, cranky hamster.
Standard action Candi casts monstrous physique ii on herself, transforming into a tikbalang and thus becoming large.
Free action Candi rages, applying resist energy (fire) and haste to herself and casting long arm on herself giving her a total reach of 15 ft.
Swift action She activates arcane strike.
Have not yet had a chance to update my tagline as we’re organizing a weather closure here (or non-closure in the case of us in the library).

Obsidian considers the threat this demon poses. It is worth it, he thinks to himself. He then, in a loud display pulls metal from the plane of earth, forming it into a giant spear, and launches the spear at the demon. Like much earlier, Obsidian disappears as the spear is launched as if he were sucked into the spear. Upon hitting (or not) the demon, he appears right next to it.
Gather power for composite blast. Infusion specialization covers both extended range and magnetic infusion. Obsidian is taking 1 burn to empower this blast. Also Obsidian is using Ride the Blast.
Metal blast ranged: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36
Metal Blast ranged: 16d6 + 38 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 3, 6, 6, 5, 6, 5, 6, 6, 4, 5, 1, 5, 6) + 38 = 114
114 x 1.5 = 171
The magnetic infusion matters a lot to anyone who is attacking with metal weapons!
Element air, earth; Type substance infusion; Level 3; Burn 2
Associated Blasts charged water, electric, metal, plasma, thunderstorm
Saving Throw none
Your kinetic blast causes your foes to become mildly magnetic. Whenever an infused blast deals damage to a foe, attacks made with metal weapons (including metal kinetic blasts) against that foe receive a +4 bonus until the end of your next turn, and the foe takes a –4 penalty on Reflex saving throws to avoid metallic objects.
"Whenever you accept burn while using an earth wild talent, the energy surging through you causes your damage reduction to change from DR/adamantine to DR/— for 1 round." So by accepting the 1 burn, Obsidian's DR changes from /adamantine to /-. I wasn't sure if this thing had an adamantine weapon but it looks nasty and I didn't want to risk it.
Element universal; Type utility (Sp); Level 6; Burn 0
You can use this wild talent as part of activating a kinetic blast other than telekinetic blast. You transform yourself into your element or energy and send yourself along with your kinetic blast. You appear at the end of the blast’s path, adjacent to the blast’s target (or final target, for form infusions like chain) or at the center of the burst or spread for form infusions like explosion. This ability doesn’t work with form infusions that involve melee attacks (such as kinetic blade) or that use a cone shape (such as spray).

"Now it is time to have some... fun." Elric says while thinking what the hell he is fighting now. Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (9) + 31 = 40
Then he casts Summon Monster 8 to summon Celestrial Tyrannosaurs: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"Well this is less than I expected... But FETCH"
The Tyrannosaurs will smite the enemy and both will try to take a bite out of him.
Bite Tyrannosaur 1: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23 for damage: 4d6 + 26 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 3) + 26 = 38 +18 from the smite for 56 damage and a grapple: 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (3) + 34 = 37

You can confirm what Slim told you, but also you know that their bites leave smoking wounds, (negative levels) which continue to "bleed" until the target's life is restored. It's tail can stun it targets, and it has powerful magics at its disposal. It's very aura is fearsome.
In your head, Elric, you hear, "Your little pets do not concern me. They can not hold me for long."
Elric, please do not forget your FORT save.
Elric Fort Save DC23: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33
Obsidean lands a devastating strike on the demon, but it does not go down. He then feel the tremendous presence of this huge demon, but he does not falter.
Obsidian Will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
T-Rex 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
T-Rex 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11 Fail, Shaken
Though the first dino is not affected by the aura of fear, but misses its bite anyway. The second is shaken by the foul aura of the demon.
Elric, Obsidean does not appear to threaten at this time, as he doesn't have a melee weapon. He hits, but does not grapple.
Holding for confirmation, as it is pretty critical to what the demon does next.

The demon, currently unfettered, turns to Obsidean, grinning.
It quickly casts a spell, targetting Obsidean.

A black ray of negative energy reaches out from the monster’s finger, and touches Obsidean. The kineticist feels his life energy being suppressed! Elric identifies this as a quickened enervation
Gal-Horvasch chuckles in evil glee.
He then turns his natural weapons on Obsidean. He first bites down on the stony trifling. As he pulls away, the bite wound is bleeding wisps of green smoke rather than blood... the very feel of this sickens Obsidean.

So...Obsidian has deathless armor.
Aura moderate abjuration CL 7th
Slot armor quality; Price +1 bonus; Weight —
Description
This armor protects its wearer from harmful negative and positive energy, including channeled energy. The armor absorbs the first 10 points of positive or negative energy damage per attack that the wearer would normally take. The wearer has a 25% chance to ignore negative levels from any attack. Deathless armor does not block healing of any kind and does not protect against positive or negative energy effects that do not deal damage or bestow negative levels. The deathless ability can be applied to armor of any sort, but not shields.

EDIT: Oh, did the temp hit points go away before this combat?

If I understand Candis post in the discussion channel correctly it is my turn now.
Elric moves up a bit, then he casts Haste on both Tyrannosaurs and on Obsidean.

Yes, Obsidean then saves, but is still stunned for 1 round, but it goes away with Ayako
After the final bite of the T-Rexes, the mighty warlord looks puzzled, and falls to the ground.
Heal up, next choice... with a new possible!
As the team finishes off the mighty warlord, they hear the screams of an entire regiment being destroyed by a mighty demon. In the distance, Teremthal, the Ender of Worlds (Epic Target) can be seen. Overseer of the assault on Nerosyan, this immense demon is responsible for immeasurable death and destruction throughout the past Mendevian crusades. Seeking to outdo his demonic rivals, Teremthal leads his army in the final assault on the crusader capital. Only the most experienced and powerful of Pathfinders can hope to stand against his might.

CLW 2: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW 3: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Obsidian shakes his head at Elric, "This is time when we are to protect. Others may be able to take out twins. Others cannot handle that." As he says this he points to Teremthal.

![]() |

"On to face the Sibilant Twins!" Slim raises a fist.

![]() |

Embarrassed by her failure to contribute anything to the attack upon Gal-Horvasch, Candi nods in agreement with Obsidean.
Obs in on the mark. Teremthal's what we signed up for.

![]() |

One for Sibilant Twins, One for Teremthal
The name "Sibilant Twins" does not ring a bell. Perhaps if you saw them, you might know more.
Teremthal is a name you haven't heard. But, you have caught a glimpse of him, and he looks to be a Balor... large outsider (chaotic, evil, demon, extraplanar). These powerful demons are lords in the Abyss.

![]() |

Ayako shivers. "I do not know much of either. But Teremthal is a balor, the most powerful of demons. If we face him, we will need to be at our strongest. I recommend attending to the other generals."
Before we begin, does anyone want to change their vote? :)

![]() |

"I think we are not very well equipped to fight a balor, I recommend killing the other generals. My vote stands with going for the Twins."

![]() |

It sounds like there are two of us, Elric and Slim, in favor of going after the twins, two of us, Candi and Obsidean, in favor of attacking Teremthal the Balor, and Ayako who is in favor of someone other than the balor. I'm fine with going after the twins, and I'll change Candi's vote to them.
Candi muses...
I'm fine with attacking these twins, but siblings can be quite a handful. I remember this night in Sothis with two catfolk who were littermates.

![]() |

Obsidian looks disgustingly at his team. "I was beginning to think that the team they stuck me with was actually close to my power level and dedication. It would seem that I was wrong. You are puny, fleshy mortals that run scared when something truly formidable comes along. Are you so selfish that you would care only for your own lives? Are you admitting that you are truly just windbag charlatans? Why would the leaders make me babysit the likes of you in this dire situation? You do not deserve to be among the ranks of the Seekers." And with that, Obsidian storms off in search of the Venture Captain.

![]() |

"Well. That was dramatic." A shiver runs through her form once more, but this one is followed by a much more marked change. Golden fur grows in as Ayako's face elongates, teeth sharpening, pupils sliding to narrow slits. A white tipped tail of matching fur parts the folds of her dress. Ears standing straight up atop her head, the kitsune looks around at the remaining Pathfinders. "I'll stake the title of Golden Witch on us defeating Teremthal. What say you?"

![]() |

"Here, my taciturn obsidian brother from another mother," Slim hands the kineticist a hanky. "Dry your flinty tears, and blow your stony nose. You look positively drained." He chuckles at his own jest.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (2) + 32 = 34
The paladin-bard looks to the rest of the team, "Our friend here would prefer to go after a second strategic target, the balor, rather than take on our prime target, the Sibilant Twins."
He shrugs, "I suggest we humor him. No one wants to be around a kineticist, when he has an emotional meltdown, am I right? After all, a balor need killin', too."
The half-elf smiles, "And if we still live after we've dealt with the balor, maybe we'll have time to go after our prime target. No hurry, right?"

![]() |

"Fine Obsidian, but if we go after it we should prepare ourself for the worst...
It is still a Demon that needs to die."

![]() |

Candi is changing armor with the help of Sister Ayako as the discussion about future targets unfolds. Partway through, Ayako changes form.
Hey, watch it! That tail tickles!
Standing there, more or less starkers, Candi points toward Teremthal.
So, we going after the balor, right? Good, at least he'll be able to see my shapely gams before he dies. We owe him that much.
Finally back in her familiar, and more revealing breastplate, Candi looks much happier and ready to go.

![]() |

"Always have been a tail-and-gams man, me. Love to watch her go, you know?" Slim winks at Candi and Sister Ayako. "Start each day with squats and lunges, I say. "
"The title of Golden Witch?" Slim asks. "Is there a tale there, too?"

![]() |

Suddenly, it seemed that the team must have been spotted. A hush comes over the battlefield, as the demon lord, Teremthel, has disappeared.
A cloud of brimstone appears even with and behind Elric, as the General has arrived! In a booming voice, that resonates both in your ears and in your head.

You can move any allies within range to any other space of your choosing within range. Those spaces need not be in line of sight or line of effect from your original position, but must be open locations on surfaces able to support the creatures teleported. Except as noted above, this spell otherwise functions as dimension door.

"Well it worked aganist your oversized grunt, so why shouldn´t it work against you"
With these words Elric casts Summon Monster 8 Fortitude against DC 23: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31 for T-Rexes: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
After this elric moves 20ft up in the air and calls out happily: "Well this went better, FETCH."
All Tyrannosaurs will smite and I will include the +18 damage into the calculation as there is a good reason to believe that the Balor leading the charge against Nerosyan is evil.
Bite Tyrannosaur 1: 1d20 + 22 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 22 + 3 = 43 for Damage: 4d6 + 26 + 3 + 18 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 6) + 26 + 3 + 18 = 67 and a grapple: 1d20 + 34 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 34 + 3 = 44
Bite Tyrannosaur 2: 1d20 + 22 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 22 + 3 + 2 = 30 for Damage: 4d6 + 26 + 3 + 18 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 1) + 26 + 3 + 18 = 56 and a grapple: 1d20 + 34 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 34 + 3 + 2 = 54
Bite Tyrannosaur 3: 1d20 + 22 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 22 + 3 + 2 = 33 for Damage: 4d6 + 26 + 3 + 18 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 4) + 26 + 3 + 18 = 61 and a grapple: 1d20 + 34 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 34 + 3 + 2 = 51
Bite Tyrannosaur 4: 1d20 + 22 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 22 + 3 + 2 = 32 for Damage: 4d6 + 26 + 3 + 18 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 2) + 26 + 3 + 18 = 55 and a grapple: 1d20 + 34 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 34 + 3 + 2 = 54

"Shelyn, let's smite this evil menace!" He punctuates his call to his goddess with a click of his boots of speed. The half-elf casts good hope on himself and his allies.
If the mirror image spell (5 images, duration 11 min) had expired, Slim would have re-cast that instead, for Images: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5.)
Inspired by Sister Ayako, the paladin-bard begins a counterpoint lament, a dirge of doom, filling the balor with a sense of growing dread in his enemies, causing him to become shaken.
On the winds of Sister Ayako's bard's escape, Slim is teleported to higher ground atop a large stone next to the balor.
Good Hope: Each affected creature gains a +2 morale bonus on saving throws, attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls. Range 210ft.
Discordant Voice: Melee - Allies within 30 feet of Slim deal an extra 1d6 points of sonic damage with successful weapon attacks. (Stacks with other energy damage a weapon might deal.) Ranged - Projectile weapons bestow this extra damage on their ammunition, but the extra damage is dealt only if the projectile hits a target within 30 feet of Slim.
Prerequisites: Bardic performance class feature, Perform (oratory or sing) 10 ranks.
Benefit: Whenever you are using bardic performance to create a spell-like or supernatural effect, allies within 30 feet of you deal an extra 1d6 points of sonic damage with successful weapon attacks. This damage stacks with other energy damage a weapon might deal. Projectile weapons bestow this extra damage on their ammunition, but the extra damage is dealt only if the projectile hits a target within 30 feet of you.

Obsidian , with the help of Slim, manages to get front row seats. As he usually does, he yells as he swings his empty hands at the demon. But, moments after he starts, a large maul forms in his hands.
Kinetic blade and Entangling Infusion (DC 27 Reflex save or be entangled). Also accepting 1 point of burn to empower.

(94 x 1.5) + 5 = 146
Element earth, water, wood; Type substance infusion; Level 2; Burn 2
Associated Blasts blizzard, cold, earth, ice, magma, metal, mud, sandstorm
Saving Throw Reflex negates
Your kinetic blast surrounds your foes in elemental matter. Whenever a blast with this infusion deals damage to a foe, that foe becomes entangled for 1 minute. The foe can remove this condition as a standard action with a successful Escape Artist or Strength check (with the same DC as for saves against your kinetic blast) or by dealing an amount of damage to the entangling matter equal to double your kineticist level (the matter has hardness 0). If the foe was already entangled by this infusion and fails its save against a second instance of this infusion, the increased amount of elemental matter fuses to the ground, causing the foe to be rooted in place as though anchored to an immobile object.

Donna the Viper |

Donna takes advantage of bard’s escape and appears at a point about 30 feet from the balor.
She takes no actions on her turn.

![]() |

Slim puckers up, "Come on, Donna. At least give us a little hiss!"

![]() |

Ayako cannot use an immediate action before she has acted.
Hadn't seen the locking gauntlet...
Only one of the dinosaurs manages to hit...and it does not keep hold.
Slim casts a spell, but is within reach of the demon's blade. This effectively counters the spell.
AOO from sword vs AC36: 1d20 + 31 - 6 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 31 - 6 - 2 = 38 slashing, unholy: 2d6 + 13 + 12 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 13 + 12 + (6, 6) = 46

Candi hits twice with her sword, once very well. Her other attacks all fail.
Candi Fort vs unholy aura: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
Candi Fort vs unholy aura: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 24

Doesn’t a vorpal need a natural 20?

![]() |

And if Candi is by some miracle not beheaded, I would like to use my reroll, +2 GM stars and +1 for guidance for the failed fort save (and right now Candi’s Fort is +25.

![]() |

I guess you are right... missed that.
if you are refilling, please reroll.
crit damage on Candi: 4d6 + 26 + 24 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 3) + 26 + 24 + (1, 1) = 66
It’s final sword attack then goes on Candi, as she is still up, but it still misses.

Obsidian swings again, this time, he does not put as much strain on himself.
Whelp, as my entangle infusion has been ignored, I'll just go for a magnetic infusion.

GM Blake |

As the Teremtel falls after Obsidian's metal onslaught, your minds are assaulted with the shrieks and wails of hundreds of history's most vile and murderous souls. You watch as the Abyssal forces that formed the balor's body begin to rip apart before you are blinded and deafened by a wave of unholy fire.
When the fire subsides, there is a charred crater extending for dozens of yards in every direction and...
Everything on the map takes 100 points of damage (50 points Fire, 50 points Unholy), Reflex DC 33 for half (25 points Fire, 25 points Unholy).
For those with minions on the field, PC saves first.
