Oh… right! So I do have in-game knowledge.
I was thinking I did, but we never had the time to discuss so much. Mindlink—that’s the detail I forgot. It all makes sense now.
Thanks!

Val, I just nat 20'd my perception to see how bad a state you were in.
My healing is crap, so I'm hoping Cal can do better. I haven't looked at his skills XD
Cashara Aivion
looks like I'm saving Martha XD
I hope Cal can handle the poison
maybe if I feel Martha will be fine I can help Cal handle Val
I can probably make an assist healing check
Caledon Whitetree
To treat poison means to tend to a single character who has been poisoned and who is going to take more damage from the poison (or suffer some other effect). Every time the poisoned character makes a saving throw against the poison, you make a Heal check. If your Heal check exceeds the DC of the poison, the character receives a +4 competence bonus on his saving throw against the poison.Generally speaking, you can’t try a Heal check again without witnessing proof of the original check’s failure.
Interestingly, although it says a 2 doses from a healer's kit is a requirement to treat wounds, it doesn't say anything about a requirement to treat poisons.

Cal, how could you of all people roll a 1 on healing
Cashara Aivion
I do have a few questions and things I feel I should share.
if I'm up to DM next, I want a bit of a basic layout of the city.
the other things is, in about another year or so, maybe less, I'll be gone for 2+ years to preach the word. so, that should be fun when I get to it.
well, I have a few ideas bubbling up for my part as GM, but we'll just see what I do after this adventure. I can't wait to see how we whip Miss Amp. kinda fun the way it's going RN Turlin. I just hope things turn out.
Caledon Whitetree
I thought my DM session was next. I do have some thoughts on the city layout.
I was thinking of using the city of westcrown from the paizo source material but fliped south-north to match Vixen's original description. We'd need to rename stuff too.
Westcrown: LINKY
We'd also need to figure out how to add the ice mountain from Vixen's game too.
Vermilion Vixen
Works for me.
You GM the game, you name whatever area you needed to add.
Caledon Whitetree
What do you think? I added mont saint michel as an island at the tip of the north-eastern peninsula because I think I might use it in my session. I also added the harbor of Carthage because its cool and I have a battlemap for it.
Cashara Aivion
look nice.
but, if you want to go next Cal, I'll let you

@VV
Your post just added some comedy to the deviousness of the situation at hand. Reading it made me laugh, but my character won't be happy to know the her friend isn't doing well
Vermilion Vixen
I just try to make the best of the situation. VV will freak when she sees Martha is hurt, but looks like Cash rescued her with an awesome first aid check!
I thought she got shot in the head.
Cashara Aivion
Considering there was
1) no gunshot
And
2)the fact she was alive and breathing
Means that she wasn't.
And my healing is crap, so it was a lucky roll for me

Madam Zulu bops Caledon in the back of the head, like he was a bad dog or a stupid kid!
Caledon's AC is 15, unless you count him as flat footed.

I complied some of work that has previously been done in describing rooftopolis.
Rooftopolis Locations:
Gold Coast:
This encompasses the Red Lantern District. I was sure that there was a longer description of the Gold Coast but couldn't find it.
Fu Bar in the Red Lantern District.
The harborside Red Lantern District, formerly an east-meets-west cultural melting pot, is now a borderland between a tourists’ paradise for thrill-seekers and the slums where residents either join a gang or keep their heads down for the sake of their loved ones.
Shipments come in every Thursday along the docks by the Fu Bar.
Snowberry Hills.
Seamus' mansion
There are several maids and a butler, possibly a gym and library at the Seamus Manor. There is a ‘Dispatcher’ capable of casting the sending spell.
There's a ladies boutique a mile west of Seamus’ mansion. There's an herbalist a mile east, and a mile north the Kingsman Haberdashery is known to sell magic hats. Somewhere in the area is a magic shop called Talfen’s.
Some other Snowberry Hills Locations
Madam Bont’s teahouse: This is were Dr. Mavrin and Caledon met.
Behind the tea house is a coach house ran by Coachman Bill "Checkmate" Bobbity, who is a fan of Seamus’ Nightwatch.
Barronet Glin's property: Caledon and his dogs have hunted here
Bellum residence, address: 69 Yodelina Valley Lane. Sister Bellum is priestess of Shelyn and she uses magic to heat her pool. Sister Bellum is involved with the art community. She tends to celebrate her goddess at art galleries or outdoor musical performances. Only women are invited to her home for worship. Brother Seamus says she's an odd duck, but trustworthy. She recommended Vixen to Brother Seamus as a recruit for the Nightwatch.
Elsa, a friend of Sister Bellum has a home near the peak on Victoria Road.
Holly farm is nearby Elsa’s home at address is 1225 Holly Circle. He uses magic to heat his stable.

I've updated the Rooftopolis map. I rotated another 90 degrees so that the plateau was in the north. I then turned the north section into the part of Snowberry hills from Vixen's session.
Here is a really zoomed in view of the edited section with some lables. I added cuipid's estate, Elsa's mansion, Sara Bellums mansion, Moma Fratelli's Mansion, Baron Von Heatmister's Ranch and Victoria Peak.

I still have 7 weeks of school that I have to do online

I don’t. I just remember she had mashed potatoes for dinner.
My oldest daughter said the whiny boy who sat behind her on the flight from
Japan to Hong Kong smelled like chicken and pee. I was thinking about that when I wrote my post.
...
On virtual school. It’s tough. You have teachers and students who are motivated… and then you have those who are not. The demotivated ones are actually in their bathrobes on Zoom calls with disheveled hair, or they don’t show up at all.
Good for you, WW, for finding ways to educate yourself! I do the same with my kids. We have an IXL trial and some workbooks, especially for my first grader who finds everything in school way too easy. (Wish I had her problem!)
Cashara Aivion
sort of do myself.
but, you just gotta take it one day at a time sometimes.
it's more of a drag to me, but it could be worse.
I think setting this schedule actaully helps me focus a little bit, that and some music.

This year, my egg hunt has some Jumanji-like hints, and personal quests for a couple of the eggs.
My oldest, who can almost outrun me, has to race me for her final quest. I’m quite proud of the rhyme:
Straight to the well! You better RUN!
Be-4 you 3 count down 2 ONE!
I was inspired by the trap room in this game. It’s easy to pass, if you think past the seemingly-obvious physical aspect. “You 3” refers to my three daughters. If none read the rhyme aloud, I’ll give a 4-second head start. But if anyone reads the word ONE, I start running.
Here’s hoping this ends in laughs, not tears.
Cashara Aivion
good luck
and have fun
Vermilion Vixen
Well the good news is they had fun. The bad news? I just raised the bar for egg hunts.
And my 12-year-old read the whole rhyme, so I got the head start. Rather than run slow, I took the straight path—that is, straight from an overhead view. You need to run up a rock ledge and through a tunnel of small trees. It’s faster to go around, and luckily, she did so. I was catching up. Had we run from a little further back, I would have had to either not run my fastest or win.
My daughter won by a fraction of a second, with me actually trying! It was perfect—the one part I couldn’t plan for.

no worries

my, what a good friend
Vermilion Vixen
Oh, very cool! I contemplated trying that system, but instead joined a Starfinder game in which the GM said “choose a super power.”
Cashara Aivion
interesting!
very interesting
Cashara Aivion
no worries.
oh, heads up, might be getting a job sometime next week.
I'm getting an interview with one place, and am going to talk to another place.
Vermilion Vixen
I’ll respond whenever a post is up. Whatever your reason for delaying, I’m on this site for other games anyway, so I just jump in wherever I see a (New).
Feel free to keep going in the current scene, or fast-forward to the next puzzle. Whatever works best for you!
Cashara Aivion
I'm good either way.
