Aegekt takes a seat, casually showing off his massive sword and bragging a bit. Xichi orders some usual tavern fare for the party and Rudzik joins him. Pooka engages Ingret in more direct conversation, explaining their interaction with her nephew as he places the letter and sealed package on the bar.

Ingret looks at Pooka for a moment, then opens and reads the letter from the High Priestess. She then opens Vel’s package and quickly pockets the vial. ”I see you’ve been visiting with some local acquaintances of mine. Seems they vouch for you in some capacity, and my nephew obviously thinks very highly of you...So why are you here to visit me exactly?”

I’ll use your previous diplomacy rolls as they’re required with your interactions with Ingret about your mission specifically. What do you do now?

"We want to be your friends Ingret Jor." Pooka says, smiling and raising his mug.

"Of course, you are way to smart for game playing. I like your direct question so much, I'll give you a direct answer. The organization we represent isn't well liked here in Chesed. Nevertheless, we believe you possess something passed down from your elders that a lot of people are interested in obtaining."

Pooka is sure she has the woman's attention now. "We don't want to take it from you, milady. We want to be partners with you. We would like access to this, thing, and in return for your friendship, we offer the friendship of our... ahh... society. If you catch my drift."

"So before we go any further on what you might be able to do for us, why don't we start with what we can do for you. Can we prove to you that we are worthy of your friendship?" Pooka's smile nearly takes in his ears as he tips his mug back, almost spilling the contents, but not quite.

"And just in case the answer to that is no, will you at least give me one more round of this amazing stout before you kick us out?"

The scenario wants 3 consecutive successful diplomacy rolls, but I can see that with Pooka’s score and an aid another or two he can’t fail, based on all the bonuses from previous successes. So I’ll continue advancing.

“Fine! Fine! I’ll tell you!” Ingret grumpily exclaims. “Just give me a moment to clear out the bar.” She puts her fingers to her mouth and blows a shrill whistle to get her patrons’ attention. “Out!” she barks. In moments, the tavern is empty of all other souls. Ingret looks around meaningfully, and after a long pause she reaches under the bar and comes up with a small chest. With a key from under her apron, she unlocks the chest, removes the contents—a small, worn, leather-bound journal—and hands it over.

“There it is,” she says. “It’s my great-grandpapa’s journal. He went looking for the heirloom that came from Jormurdun, carried here by our honored ancestor Prince Toggrim. I remember as a child sitting on great-grandpapa’s lap hearing him spin tales about going down to that ruin to see with his own eyes where our Toggrim hid that piece of the Sky Key. It’s all there in that journal. A map’s there, too, I think.”

”Please, maintain my secret and do not speak with anyone you suspect might be working for the Technic League.”

Just then, the front door of the Silver Lining explodes inward in a blast of concussive force. From outside the cloud of dust and splinters, a thin, nasally voice calls out, “Jor! Jor! I know you’re in there. The League is done playing games. Surrender your secrets or die with them!”

Going to sacrifice a round of action to go a little defensive here for the group because I think it might be useful. Plus I don't like my charging options all that much just yet... :)

"On your toes everyone! And just in case, a table makes a great fireball shield!" Pooka shouts in warning to the group.

Standard action: Activate Danger ward for Reflex. Deets in the spoiler below. Very useful if you fail a reflex save in the next minute.

Danger Ward:
At 2nd level, the cavalier can ready his allies for impending danger. As a standard action, he can ready all allies within 30 feet of the danger ahead, granting a bonus on a single type of saving throw (Fortitude, Reflex or Will) that he chooses when he grants this boon. At any point in the next minute, when these allies fail a saving throw of that type, they can choose to reroll the saving throw with a +4 competence bonus as an immediate action, but must take the results of the reroll even if it is worse. He can use this ability up to three times per day, once for each type of saving throw.

"Let's get up Luna!" Pooka shouts and Luna responds immediately, dropping her front paws to the ground and twisting her head back to catch sight of an already leaping Pooka. Hearing his launch into the air, she rolls over, ending the normally mundane dog trick beneath the halfling.

Ride check, DC20 to mount as a free action: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31

Pooka descends back towards the floor, but Luna's saddle is placed perfectly as he comes down. He grips the leather reins in the same flash of time that his rump settles in the saddle. Using the same momentum, he kicks his right foot forward, the steel boot striking the butt of his lance squarely and launching it straight in the air.

"Here we go girl!" he urges Luna forward and catches the weapon in mid-air as the two move across the room.

Move action to try to get myself in position for a charge. Hopefully can entice them to come in the room!

The little arcanist hastens the party (Wilk doesn’t get haste unless someone else speaks up about not needing it). The scarred half-elf sorcerer identifies the spells cast by the Technic League members. He then activates his magic flying boots and flies to the back door. (Opening a door is a move action and looks like you’re out of actions: standard for boots, move to fly to the door. So as of now you’re at the door but is still closed.) Ingret arms herself with a crossbow from under the bar.

Rudzik and Wilk see two of the Technic League members run off in the same direction as the one who cast magic missiles and flew away.

Only thing it looks like you might have missed GM is Pooka still could have mounted Luna via the ride check to mount as a free action. He just couldn't have moved along the bar, because that move action was taken in order to stand up. So actual turn would have been - move action to stand, free action to mount, standard action to activate reflex danger ward. Next turn I'll have to draw my lance, hopefully while charging.

Dog and rider use a barstool to deflect most of the acid, though the magical energy still burns, leaving the most wicked kind of wet dog smell. The dog shakes briefly, flinging bits of acid along the face of the bar before they can do any real damage to her skin. It will take a while for her fur to fill back in a few spots though.

"Grrrrrr" Luna's growl rumbles deep in her throat, her mouth salivating at the opportunity to sink her teeth into the offending monstrosity.

Edit: Almost forgot! Luna has evasion due to the animal companion progression. No damage for her!

I am well aware. But Aegekt’s swift actions in this fight are far more valuable than hit points.

Wilk, ready to guard Rudzik, steps forward and bites at whip dude, who seems kinda blurry miss on a 1: 1d5 ⇒ 5 His bite connects and the guy is tripped. The damage doesn't seem fully effective though, almost as if his skin were stone. "Looks like Wilk found you a friend, Mutahir!" Rudzik calls as he steps back and pulls out more arrows. He flashes a hand signal to Wilk - "Flank" - then starts loosing arrows at the man on the floor.

GM, what exactly is meant by "they look kinda out of it"? As in they look like they've been enchanted, drugged, illusions, blurry, etc?

Also, GM will have to add the +4 AC for being prone because there could be more stuff I don't know about with Mr. Devo. Rudzik can at least ignore the blur.
