Kahmunash |

Afterwards, he turned to the reptile man. ”You said earlier you could disguise someone as long as they took on a human form. Can you still do that?”
Kahmunash smiles. "Ah but of course! You do have to change first though, and I assume you want to pass yourself off as one of these human guards?"
I will Implant the fearsome guise trick in Igor, which functions as an infinite-duration disguise self spell until I trigger it as a free action. I will disguise him as best I can as one of the guards here, giving him a +10 bonus on his disguise checks to appear to be them.

Fiaincosranboladhrianoir |

The Hound growls in impatience.
"Toying with the mortals is a diversion for later. Gut the prey, eat your fill, and let us move on to the next batch. Tonight the humans are cattle to be slaughtered, not prey to be enjoyed."

Eat-in-Shadow |

"I agree." growls Eat-in-Shadow. "Eat-in-Shadow can't look like humans, but Igor may. Not that it would help much. Let us go forth and bring destruction to these hapless Talireans."

Captain Richter Kruegar |

The Captain follows the others, not complaining about the ease of their current passageway and keeping his opinions to himself.

![]() |

Mei will put on a set of chain and then help someone else get some off a dead body and on as well. Then she will move forward, wearing chain, a shield, and carrying a longsword while on the ceiling... Life is much better then an hour ago.

![]() |
Edward makes his way several steps behind the front line. He's got a set of keys, keeping an eye out for side doors or windows or the telltale drafts of hidden passageways.
Enough that he can turn tail at the first opportunity without being at the back where someone clever enough to sneak up on the rear might be.
"Yeah. So I'm up for a needed fight as much as the next guy, but have you guys considered... Y'know. Not coming in through the front gate, but looking for the servants gate? Fewer guards. More people to use as shields. That sorta thing."
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Cardinal A. Thorn |

Since you help each other, the time to remove and put on armour is cut in half. Now 5 rounds to remove and 5 rounds to don.
The guards are all male.
"Hey, what's the problem! Should we call for the Sergeant? Get back to your posts!"
Roll stealth please.
You see two more guards at the end of a long hallway downstairs. There are several doors along the hallway and the guards stand in front of the largest doors. The main entrance. The guards are looking your way.
Hall

Igoroskandrallanotly - “Igor” |

Igoroskandrallanotly nods, then his skin ripples and lightens as he shifts into the fine of a human make with blonde hair and blue eyes - attractive, as things are considered by inferior beings like humans. He nods to Kahmunash and says, ”Get me some of that armor and a uniform. Quickly.” His voice is now a pleasant baritone.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
He begins removing the armor from a guard, explaining as he does so, ”I will make myself appear to be a wounded guard, running before you. I should be able to get behind the one with the signal horn and remove it from him, then the guards will die quickly.”
Disguise as guard, fearsome guise, change shape: 1d20 + 17 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 17 + 10 = 47

Kahmunash |

"Well, I'm hearing 'Gut him from groin to neck' from the crowd. Sorry old chap, better luck in your next life."
I assume someone will kill the remaining (Prone) guard then, god knows we have enough *monster*power up here
"My my, Igor you do an excellent job of this. Remember to smile for the part, and we'll be right behind you"
I say give one turn after Igor heads down the stairs until everyone starts following him down. We don't really have a good way of getting a group decision here quickly, but maybe put the faster people in front?

Cardinal A. Thorn |

With the help of Kahmunash's trick, Igor assumes the form of one of the Fallen guards. Aided in hastily putting on the guard uniform and armour, it still takes longer than the guards downstairs care to wait. The voices are close enough for everyone to hear. "Return to your posts or we'll report it to the Sergeant. We aren't taking a rap for you breaking protocol." Tartarus can see that they have moved closer and stopped. One of them has the signal horn in hand and instead of at the end of the hallway they are only about 60ft. away.

Eat-in-Shadow |

Eat-in-Shadow remains creeping in his darkness, standing ready in case Igor's plan goes to high hell.

![]() |
Shifting to lose the Scent ability and go to 2 hoof attacks 1d4/1d4 and a gore attack 1d6.
Edward shifts up his gore, on edge. He maintains his position just a few steps behind the front line, more than willing to let them take the first few hits. "Least when this is done, I can take a nice pair of smallclothes to cover my junk." he thinks. "Maybe even a shirt."

Kahmunash |

Kahmunash turns to the rest of the group. "Remember, be quick, kill the one with the horn first. As quietly as we can hopefully."
Delay until Igor gives a signal, at which point double-move to about 15ft away from the guard with a horn, and Hypnotically staring at him as a swift action to impose that -2 Will penalty.

Allston Brent |

Allston holds back, the taste of people still sweet on his lips. But he can feel himself more focused more ready to do something about getting out. He whispers now. "I'm here now, we will get out." He then holds himself back and to the wall attempting to stay out of sight. Dagger held tightly in hand.

Igoroskandrallanotly - “Igor” |

With a final smear of blood upon himself, Igoroskandrallanotly says, "Follow when you hear me speak." The doppelganger runs down the stairs, clattering and making noise as he goes, stumbling out at the bottom and running towards the guard with the signal horn.
"The fire giant broke loose and freed some of the other monsters! They've slaughtered the others! Give me the horn to sound the alert and prepare yourselves! They're right behind me!"
Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Fiaincosranboladhrianoir |

The Hound opens his mouth to say much the same thing as Kahmunash, but is beaten to the punch. Not prone to wasted effort, he keeps his mouth shut and readies himself to rush the horn blower when things go wrong. In his experience, the Deceiver is usually the shortest lived Role.

Cardinal A. Thorn |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 oh my
"What! That's impossible! The collars keep them under control. What did you do?" The guard that is speaking doesn't believe you that they broke out themselves and is not trusting you or giving you the horn. "Retreat you fool. We 3 can't fight those things. I'll sound the horn and then we run for the door and get to the Sergeant." But he is too late, and the monsters charge down the stairs into the hall towards them.

Kahmunash |

Kahmunash double-moves into the hallway, ending somewhere to the left of the hallway to not get in anyone's charging way but within 30ft of the guards, and stares at the guard with the horn for a -2 to Will.
He will also trigger the Fearsome guise trick on whichever guard Igor attacks, giving me a free intimidate check against them. He will make the illusion look like Igor's flesh is warping itself into a hideous visage of a swiftly decaying corpse.
Intimidate Check triggered on Igor's attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Like a boar coming out of the underbrush, Edward charges forward with head lowered.
Charge with gore attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Gore damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
"BOOM! Hope yer Sergeant likes the retreat when you have NO FACE." Edward snarls, secretly delighted by the sound of heads colliding like two hollow coconuts. Especially when one of those heads is built for these types of collisions and the other is not.

Eat-in-Shadow |

Eat-in-Shadow lashes out at the closest human, wicked claws and wicked fangs ripping and tearing in the darkness.
Attack, Claw 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Attack, Claw 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Attack, Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage, Claw 1: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Damage, Claw 2: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Damage, Bite: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
If they are shaken or frightened, I get +2 to attack against them and to Will.

Captain Richter Kruegar |

The Captain continues to follow behind the group, keeping pace with them.
Should be back to normal posting frequency after the 30th, and am keen to join in properly!

Igoroskandrallanotly - “Igor” |

Not knowing what Kahmunash's plot is, Igoroskandrallanotly screams and shouts, "Oh, Mitra, help, they're sucking my soul out!" He 'blindly' flails, attempting to grab the horn.
Steal Combat Maneuver: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Reginald Oswell |

Reginald Grumbles, still holding the leftovers of a leg in his left hand. oh dear, there are a staggering number of you smaller ones. I'm afraid I can't quite get a clear shot at them. Quite the frustrating situation, these corridors are far too small!

Kahmunash |

Never mind then, I will not trigger the guise if Igor does this

Fjori Unnason |

Fjori pats Oswell on the shoulder and nods in understanding. "These tiny halls do not allow those such as us to show our prowess. We need a more magnificent field for a battle worthy of Gorum."
Sorry I've been a bit busy with family but I'm keen on this game, you aint getting rid of me that easily.

Does triggering fearsome guise end the disguise? I was reacting to what you were doing, so the "help they're sucking my soul out" wont' work as well as I appear to decay.

Cardinal A. Thorn |

Post didn't post yesterday and i didn't realise. Let's try again.
You all swarm down the stairs, as many of you as will fit in the 20ft. wide hallway (You large creatures fit just fine fyi) and surround the guard, cutting and slashing. A hand is chopped off as the horned is raised to lips and no warning alarm is able to escape. 8 guards you have now felled.
On the left wall there is a door, a narrower hallway and two more doors close together. On the right wall there are 2 doors, one close the others almost at the end of the hall. Right at the end of the hall is a large double-door.
Seven options to choose from...

Igoroskandrallanotly - “Igor” |

Igoroskandrallanotly eyes the double doors at the end of the hall. They were likely the way out, but the woman who had freed them wanted this place left a charnel house. Distasteful, but it was meant to be a mausoleum of Talingarde's failure and the king's embarrassment, and so it would be.
Looking about, they said, "If anyone needs armor or a weapon, I suggest we arm ourselves now. Should we perhaps split up, or take each door one by one as a group?"

![]() |
Edward busies himself stripping down a guard of roughly his size and denuding him. He casually yanks the undergarments off and puts them on, humming a happy tune. "Baby boar doot doot do doot doot do do do. Baby boar, doot doot do doot doot."
Then, he picks up a sword and with sudden viciousness, strikes an arm off at the elbow. The first isn't clean, nor the second, but the third gets through. Edward then picks up the limb and starts razoring off the flesh with his hideously sharp tusks.
If possible, I'm going to try to make a crude holy symbol to Lamashtu like Trolls and Goblins do using bones of sentient beings.
Survival check to fillet the bone: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
"I vote we split up. The two giants are not, I'm guessin' the best at being silent. They're gonna be the first caught an' when everyone shows up to kill them, we can just run out the front door after settin' fire to the place." Edward responds nonchalantly, though very politely adding to the giants "No offense."

Fiaincosranboladhrianoir |

The Hound begins sniffing at the various doors, trying to determine what kinds of scents emanate from beyond them.
"It is best we try to avoid more guards where possible. As we head further out from here, patrols will be more common. Harder to avoid, and riskier to fight. My injuries are...frustrating. I cannot stalk as well as I once could. Avoiding them entirely is best with a group this large in any case."

![]() |

I can climb straight up and out if I get the chance and carry a few of you on my back. Mai says as she looks around trying to see if the guards had keys and she will try the door handles to see if any are unlocked.
