"Yeah, I'm a little frail... Dont know why Tether didn't help him though. Maybe the chest is dirty from the travel."
"Mmm? Oh yeah, of course. You did kind of have an axe in your head..."
Red is startled by Tethers sudden surge of life after being quiet so long.
"...Yeah, anytime Tether." Red looks back toward Fox. "weird... "
Dendar has not been listening for a while until he gets back into the library he peeks out from behind the party morphing back into a Half-Elf, "Fox I'm back and the new guys survived! We got Jericho's new power-thingy. I kept Leo alive he got beat up real bad and Owlbearto trucked someone off the dock, thanks for letting me go Fox i had a ton of fun!"
Owlbearto nods in agreement.
"Potions, huh? That's quite the talent with alchemy you must have." Red goes to looks through their bag before they appear to be reminded of something. "Oh uh, by the way... are we staying here in the library or will we have to go find an inn or housing district nearby?"
Dendar ponders Red's question, "I mean... I live in the basement so Owlbearto's smells don't anger anyone, now that he talks and does things on his own it hasn't really been a problem. He bathes himself and smells like flowers mostly, but we have grown fond of living in the basement so we kinda stay there."
Owlbearto adds in, Dendar's right I try my best to keep my body hygenic and well kept, we could always use a roommate..." He looks around surveying the group at hand. "I... I don't know Red's gender, it would be rude of me to ask her or him to room with us if they were a girl. Plus nobody wants to ever witness Dendar's cursed manhood..." He stares at Tether, then Leo, "Maybe Leo would take up the offer, I could give him incentives boarding in the room..." Owlbearto scratches his beak, "Hey Leo, if it turns out you are suitable to stay at the library which I have much faith in. Would you want to board downstairs in the basement with Dendar and I? You can practice your alchemical endeavours in a place the scent won't deter anyone, Dendar and I are rarely down there as we have our own duties to attend to and you can take up a larger amount of space then we do. Think about it then get back to us okay?"
Dendar's eyes turn bright and wide like stars as he gets a smile on his face, "OH BOY A NEW ROOMATE WE CAN PLAY CARDS TOGETHER AND TELL EACHOTHER SECRETS AND... and... huh, thats all i really do with Owlbearto in my room. And I can't cheat on him like that. Gotta find more fun activities to turn our room into a real Man Cave for cool guy stuff. Yeaaaa and then il invite Turt and Chak-Chak and Hard Hat Harry and Red if my thoughts are right on his boyness... and tell Fox it's boys club and shes not allowed because she is a girl!"
Owlbearto claps his paws together, "Splendid Leo and with such haste, you will find the room to be very enjoyable should lady Fox give us permission to have you!" He turns to Fox, "What say you Fox may he reside in our quarters we have more than enough space to accomidate him on the other side of the room?"
Eye's darting to each speaker as they take turns taking her attention, Fox sighs and removes her sun hat. Her hands slide up her face and begin undoing the high bun she put her hair into.
"....yeah you passed she decides, pulling a pin out of her bun and shaking her head to free her hair. "Good job, I fully expected Law to be missing an arm or something
She gets up from her chair and crosses her arms under her bust, the serious look she is giving the group doesn't fit with the green dress she is in. "Law, head on down to the basement and start the core transfer, ask Turt to help you, Bes can....do whatever it is she does" she say's dismissively.
Law grunts again, readjusting his grip on the chest. The woman on top only ruffling his hair again before he starts to trudge to the main desk where Turt watches the proceedings curiously. Fox then turns back to the three newcomers. "You three, welcome aboard to Legends fall, though next time I don't care if you literally have noodles for arms, help a teammate if their struggling, understand?"
Legends Fall is now open to you, you will find some spare rooms on the second floor if you want, they're pretty bare, but clean. The better rooms are higher, only I, Turt, and Minato currently live on the 4th floor. Prove yourself and your positions here will rise...along with your pay"
"Thank you very much, ma'am." Red bows, letting their long strands of blonde hair stick out of the front of their hood before they tuck it back behind their ear. They then turn to Leo and Dendar and waves to them before following Tether upstairs to claim a room.
The room's are bare, but clean as promised. Bed's and a desk occupy the room along with a closet. The room has no window's, and what seems to be some sort of lamp on the ceiling that has no flame.
A spilled sack of coins wait on the beds, the payment for their work.
They can sleep now at anytime, or explore the library to their leisure.
When Leo steps out of his, he's once again taken aback by how open this place is. People still are all over the halls but it's a noticable drop from the crowed earlier. But the lesser crowd makes it eazier to spot the people of interest.
Turt and Law chat near the entrance of the basement while Bes seems to be chiming in at some moments
He can see the blue haired boy from before, carrying a high stack of books from one section of the library to another.
The Tengu and lightly sculpted red head in a colorful mask lightly talk while arm wrestling on the third floor.
Naruto is at a table on the first floor, writting in a few scrolls with his 'twin' Necro.
Fox is no where to be seen on the first floor.
"..A-Ah wait do not...!" He start's to say but it's to late.
When Leo takes a few of the tomes off of Minato's hands, he can feel's what seem to be multiple..Entities suddenly switching their gazes onto him from...places that are not actually here. Eldritch presences all rolling across his body, judging him wholly. feeling something slimy and wet running across his arm's, The elf see's what can only be described as long eye's stalks wrapping around his forearm's and slowly reaching farther up his body.
With his weakened will, Leo cannot fight off the multiple minds trying to enter his own. The eye stalks fling themselves up to Leo's face and spear into his eye's. His vision goes black, yet there is no pain. The void stretches around in all direction, the sounds of the library gone and replaced with the sound of a beating heart. Then, slowly, star's start to appear in his vision, one after another. Their appearances speed up more and more, until the amount of glowing dots exceed even the stars in the night sky.
A shiver run's down Leo's spine, The longer he gazes into the abyss, the more apparent it becomes that these are not star's.
They're eye's.

After setting her gear down and re-braiding her hair, Tether goes back downstairs to see Dendar's face fall at Leo's rejection of being room buddies.
She then watches Leo go off to chat with the blue-haired boy, so she approaches the man cloaked in a bathrobe.
"Oh Dendar? Fox mentioned before two names to me, Minato and Turt. She said they were my superiors and it'd be good for me to introduce myself. Perhaps you could point them out to me-"
...She's a bit cut off by Leo's screaming, she snaps her head over to look at him and assumes it's just because Leo's weak arms can't really support the weight of the books he grabbed...
"...point them out to me so I could make some new friends?"
Red sets down their bag in their room, putting away their sack of spellcasting materials and wands, all the while taking the time to take off their hood and pull their hair back into a small ponytail. They stop once they hear Leo's ear piercing scream and decide to check out what happened.
"Leo? You okay?" They run over asking, sounding mildly concerned.
Dendar snaps out of his befallen look and lightly says, "Yeaaa ok I'll point you to Turt since it looks like-" Dendar glances at Leo and Minato having 'fun', "-Leo is having a meet up with Minato. Whenever you approach Minato be sure to use caution he's a peculiar one for sure. But arent we all haha? Anyway i'll show you to Turt, he might have something he wants us to do since we have some spare time." Dendar starts to walk with Owlbearto hoping Tether follows.
Owlbearto mentions to Tether as they begin making their way to the front of the library reception area, "Turt will be pleased to meet you he is quiet the strongwilled man not to mention his strength is comparible to nothing you mightve seen before. His brains don't match up to his brawn much of the time though. Him and Dendar are good companions but don't mention anything about Turt to Fox in conversation. You might derail the conversation she has this... thing for Turt, part of the reason she brought him on board id say. But hes a good man."
"THIS IS THE WORST FIELD TRIP EVER". Leo is starting to hyperventilate as he stares into the void of eyes.

"Oh, you'll even help me introduce myself..! Thank you... I'm afraid I'd be awkward." She takes a moment to glance at the plate of sweets she left before she went out on a mission, only to be sad to find it empty. "Oh... I've nothing to offer him now... Well, I hope whoever took some liked what I baked"
Dendar spies Tether looking at the plate, "Hmm looks like I missed the free food train while we were thrashing Orc butts, next time I can get some yea?" Dendar questions with a hopeful smile.
Red starts snapping their fingers in front of Leo to try and get him back to normal
"Uh... Leo? Leeeoooo! Snap out of it!" they turn to the emo blue kid "What happened to him?"
Dendar strokes his short goatee before looking at Owlbearto who is mad-mugging Dendar, Owlbearto thinks in his head, "If you miss this perfect opportunity for peanut butter crackers I'll personally defecate under your pillow Dendar..."
Dendar starts to talk pausing and glancing at Owlbearto each time, "Uh... crackers," When he looks at Owlbearto his eyes have almost came out his avian skull, Dendar starts to sweat profusely, "with... uhhh...PEANUT BUTTER YES PEANUT BUTTER! Owlbearto would definitely like those hahahaaa..." Dendar laughs very sheepishly. Owlbearto has now returned to just staring at the rows of books beside them. Changing the subject Dendar says,"So what made you take on baking so hardcore Tether?"
"IF I FIGURE OUT WHO OR WHAT IS DOING THIS, I'M GOING TO TURN YOU INTO A LARGE ARRAY OF ACCEPTABLE GODS DAMN SCORCH MARK AND THEN RUN AWAY FORM THE ASHES AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!"
Red takes a step away from Leo for safety, pulling their hood up just in case Leo decides to make the library a splashzone for his bombs.
Dendar ponders the thought of a warm hot meal, "I don't preferably eat meat, as a druid I'm very one-with-nature. So I find it disgraceful if I were to betray the ones I call upon for nourishment. They already protect me so well," He smiles and looks at Owlbearto for his opinion.
"I need mostly stick to a fish and plant based diet as per tree hugger over here. Nowadays if we ever slay things usually Dendar will purify it for me to eat without problem, he dosn't judge me for it since now that I can kind of make my own decisions I can choose my food habits." Owlbearto explains.
Dendar hugs Owlbearto and says happily, "Of course I don't judge you fluffy bum! Everyone has their entitlement and as The Pine says 'Those who judge get the nudge' and by nudge they mean eternal damnation. I love everyone that has the capacity to do the same and I trust you can feel the same way about me Tether!" Dendar's eyes well up with a layer of tear liquid and smiles while looking away to avoid compromising his soft nature. "Welcome aboard Tether," he says softly.
Owlbearto looks to Tether and says worridly, "Hey um... I can still get those crackers with the little dollops of peanut butter on em right?"
Owlbearto lets out a heave of relief sounding like an owls coo, "Oh thank goodness,"
Dendar's tear ducts dry and his voice has returned to himself so he says to Tether, "Peanut butter is kind of a rare commodity for me and Owlbearto, nobody sells it to him since he is a talking animal. People get really scared and perplexed of him. As for me well people just won't sell it to me they tell me to get lost and call me a 'tome terrorist'. Which is probably in relation to us kinda flipping the culture in the immediate vicinity on it's heels since we established the Library. Were not the most well liked bunch around these parts of Riddleport, I always try to play it off when I'm outside maybe one day they will see the way of the Pine and have a heart..."
"So are you just going to stare at me? Am, am I free to go now?" Leo is more confused than anything else as of now.
The blue haired short boy Sigh's when Leo start's to scream. The large ghost from before takes that moment to exit Minato's body, twice his size. The creatures large hands scoop up the book's from Minato, allowing him to finally get a good look at Leo...and Red, who must have approached after.
"He tried to be helpful, but sadly picked the worst time imaginable to do something like that The boy, about Red's height and looking younger then both of them. He grasp's on to the books that Leo has his hands on. "A researcher must have been using these tomes from the forbidden section, but didn't put them back in their protective casings....that's what i was doing"

Leo's question's don't seem to be processed by the entities inspecting him. The eye's all roam his person, yet he can tell they have no interest in his physical body, their eyes roam the mind instead. They slide across every crevice his mind has, touching his reasoning, his feelings, and his fear's. Bestial babel of croaking, baying and barking without the least suggestion of human speech start's to fill his ear's as the entities speak. The word's are unnatural and hurt him by just hearing it.

Turt, Bes and Law both laugh together at some joke Dendar and Tether must have missed as they get close. Regardless, they all hear Fox call for Law's assistance down in the basement. So Law slap's Turt's shoulder before turning and making his way back down along with Bes.
Turt rubs his chin in thought as he watches them go before Tether and Dendar catch his eye.
"oh? hey! Glad you guy's made it! It's always good when new people join!" He exclaims happily at Tether, eyes smiling as wide as his lips.
"good job with the delivery by the way, Jericho will appreciate it, and so do i."
"Oh, I see.. How long is he going to be like... that?" Red gestures to Leo's poor mental state. "Oh! Sorry, where are my manners? I'm Red, by the way."
