It doesn't matter ;)
Stag is not only binded to Erastil. Cernunnos, for example, is binded to stags too. By the time, I guess it's a sacred symbol of Erastil and so I'll use it.
And, if we are right and this is a silver sacred symbol, it worths 50gp!! Yup!
GM RelicBlackOUT
For the record, identifying the symbol of a major core religion would probably be a DC 10 check (which Lordar made). It's kind of like identifying a cross or a star of David.
You’re right. I was thinking that it was a DC15 check and made the call on the fly without looking it up.

Wanted to give everyone some info as per the charter from the Swordlords. It is your call to fully explore this area (each hex). Just so we have some general player knowledge on what this looks like to travel across a hex, corner to corner, it can take anywhere from 3-16 hours depending on party speed/terrain type/weather. This does not count as exploring the area as per what the Swordlords are wanting. To fully explore a hex, it can take anywhere from 1-5 days depending on party speed/terrain type/weather.
Are you wanting to follow the directions Jason gave you and go strait to this area, or are you wanting to fully explore as you go? Just want to be clear before heading out.

So on the subject on loot, people agreed that a treasure list open for any one of us to edit would be a good option. I may have misunderstood, but when I suggested it I was thinking something along the lines of this.
It's simple spreadsheet that tallies up the total value and weight of everything we collect, letting us know exactly what we're lugging around. Would it be an idea to attach it (or something like it) to the game along with the maps and whatnot? Anyone can edit it as we find new things, we can also vote on keeping/selling stuff on there, and whenever someone wants something off it they can just remove it from the list and add it to their own character sheet. Takes out a lot of confusion, back and forth questions, and going back to check a post that may be a page back.
Feel free to disagree if you think it's a bit much and apologies, Relic, if I've overstepped my bounds as a player.
And as for the post above, yeah, I'm all for heading out into the wilderness as soon as possible. I'd like to go straight for the bandit camp, but thoroughly explore every hex we come across on the way. The bandits aren't going to expect anything wrong for another week after all; we have the time and doing both fulfills our roles as both explorers and bandit-slayers at the same time.
GM RelicBlackOUT
Oh no you haven’t overstepped at all. I must have misunderstood. I thought people claimed what they wanted and then gave the rest to Oleg, but if we want I can start adding all of the loot to that sheet, then from there people can take what they want and add it to their character sheet. They would just need to remove it from the list.
Bertrand Strahnd
Looks good. I marked the alchemist fire and one CLW potion as that I am carrying. Should I delete the line?
However I think we did say to give the armor and weapons to Oleg, to sell and gain additional goodwill and perhaps a little bit of coin after he takes his 'commission'. ?? Does anyone that can use a bow want to keep one of the longbows?
Not sure of specific rules but I've usually ruled (in games that I've GM'd) that equipment 'spoils' weren't worth purchase price. (used vs. new) Usually I set it at half, but sometimes rolled as a percentage based on how well the previous owner maintained it. Kobold/goblin weapons for example I usually list at 10-40% purchase value. (unless sold to kobolds/goblins) Minus a commission for someone selling the spoils, and equipment isn't any way to get rich fast.
Only my 2 CP of course.
Sigra "Sigga" Darastrix
The two copper pieces are appreciated, I'm sure. Do note that all the equipment values I wrote are half their full purchase prices, as per the rules on selling loot. I don't know if our illustrious GM wants to use something other than the 50% rule, of course. And yeah, I went ahead and deleted the Alchemist's Fire from the list. Likewise did so for the one CLW potion. Feel free to just erase stuff yourself as we go along. It speeds things up. People will speak up if they disagree how certain things are used best.
Also, I'm not at all opposed to just giving the stuff to Oleg for free. Might kickstart his business a bit. But now everyone knows what they're missing out on doing so.
Lordar, the Honest
I can use a bow, but I prefer one or two javelins.
I can't mark the Stag amulet as carried for me, but this kind of sheet is great, thank you!
GM RelicBlackOUT
Hey all, we have two options before continuing. You can go straight to the camp, do what you need to do there, then explore on the way home. The other option is to explore each hex on the way leading to the camp, then do what you need to do at the camp.
Basically it comes down to if you want to get to the camp within a day or sow, or take a few extra days to get there.
Bertrand Strahnd
I vote for exploring on the way. We were told that the dogs aren't likely to make it back to camp and they won't be missing their crew for around a week. With that I don't think it's critical that we make it there fast, and we do need to do the work that we were 'chartered' to do. Besides, we may come across another bandit patrol if we delay, and that means less in camp.
Once we find them we can scout the area and plan our attack, backing off to rest and recover if we have had any encounters during that day.
Note: Need to be sure we have enough rations for that amount of time. I don't think we should also spend time hunting or scavenging for food. We have horses with saddlebags to carry the extra.
Lordar, the Honest
I don't care if we explore before or after, we need only a day (maybe two) to reach the bandit's den, but, if we have a bad encounter, we could need too mucho time to recover.
Halden Elwood
I say we explore on the way back. If we run into trouble while exploring, dealing with the bandits will be much more difficult

Too tired to concetrate on posting right now. Maybe the afternoon.
GM RelicBlackOUT
Hey all, I want to apologize. I am at a conference for work and thought I would have more time to do postings but they basically have things booked from sun up to sun down. I’m not going to be able to post until tomorrow night. But after that we can continue rolling.
I am so sorry for this.

Hello folks.
I'm afraid I've been bedridden for several days. My stomach is still in knots but I'm starting to feel better and I hope to catch up soon.
Bot me in the meantime if necessary.
Sigra "Sigga" Darastrix
Hope you get better soon, dude. In the meantime, eat chili and drink paint thinner. Your stomach only got this way because you got too soft. You allowed it to rebel. You have to take back control. Kick its ass. Show it who's boss and get healthy.
Sigra "Sigga" Darastrix
I'd like to take the plan mentioned in the gameplay thread here to discuss out of context, because any misunderstandings are usually due to faulty assumptions out of context - i.e. our characters who should be perfectly aware of factors such as distance between watchtowers, height of the trees, enemies' line of sight and more, are being let down by their dumb keyboard handlers who only have their mind's eye for reference.
So, to address my own assumptions, I suggested taking out both lookouts simultaneously because I'm assuming that they can view each other and would notice their counterpart being riddled with arrows. I don't know if this is actually the case or if their line of sight to each other is actually obscured by foliage or whatnot. If so, then the entire plan is nonsense and we should just be shooting them down one by one, easy peasy.
My second assumption is that a distraction from Lordar would provide the rest of us with, at best, a few seconds where the enemy isn't watching, or, at worst, a penalty to their Perception. Again, kinda crucial considering our less than stellar Stealth as a group.
Third assumption is Sigga being able to climb the tree without the dude in it seeing her. Relic used the term "lookout tower" so I've been imagining some sort of wooden platform, watchtower, tree house thing; something that would prevent the bandit from seeing directly below him.
So with that said, how I'm hoping this could go is...
Stage 1: Lordar creates a distraction to help the rest of the party sneak.
Stage 2: Belchfast, Bertrand and Halden Stealth however close to tower A they deem necessary (I'm guessing this means within 1st range increment of your weapons) while Sigga does the same for tower B (except in her case this means not just getting up to the tree, nor even climbing it, but getting so near the platform itself that she can reach the lookout with a single move action).
Stage 3: Belchfast and Bertrand do whatever spells they think necessary to hit the target (I'm thinking Bit of Luck and maybe True Strike).
Stage 4: Attack. Bertrand and Halden take out tower A while Sigga takes out tower B. Of course, if Halden finds he has an arrow to spare then he could direct his second attack to help out Sigga.
Finally, do consider that if our attack constitutes a surprise round, then there's always the chance that we win initiative and definitely-for-realsies kill 'em in the first round of proper combat. After that... heck, I don't know what we do after that. Cross that bridge when we get to it.
So which of my assumptions are complete baloney and what have I misunderstood?
Lordar, the Honest
But what if they send a party to explore when Lordar is making noise?
What will I do? Retreat, attack, or continue until they catch me?
GM RelicBlackOUT
Hey all, sorry for me absences. Some stuff in life came up that I needed to take care of, but all is well now. Back in the saddle and we will get into the swing of things.
I apologize for not stopping in sooner and saying something. That is terrible on my end ad a DM.
Lets roll some dice!

If any of you guys are in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving!
Those of you in the US, Happy Columbus Day (or Happy "Guy Who Was Looking For China and Ended Up In Puerto Rico" Day).

HAHA! You sir receive a 1d4 “You Made The DM Laugh” dice to be added to any D20 roll. Must be used before I reveal if it was or wasn’t successful.

Hey everyone. I want to fill everyone in on my current situation. I have recently had a job shift at the church I work for, it has caused a lot of my free time to go away. I also started school to finish up my degree. I have three classes remaining before I am finished.
Because I am lacking in free time I have pulled out of all of my PBP games I play in, and have been cutting back on my DMing from newest to oldest. I hate to do this because this is a fun group of people, but I am going to need to pull out from DMing this campaign.
The three classes I am taking are only one at a time, but they are accelerated so that I can be finished with them. Because of this there is a lot of nightly reading that I will need to get done, and unfortunately when it comes to this stuff, gaming its low on the list for priority.
I truly hope that there are no hard feelings, but that we can all understand that life happens. Once things settle down and classes are over I could check in and see where everyone sits at and if people want to continue.
It has truly been fun.
RBO
Brother Belchfast
That's too bad... but I completely understand. Thanks for all your work.

GM RelicBlackOUT: Can you go into the campaign page and mark the campaign as "Inactive?" Otherwise it will continue to clutter up our campaign pages.
