I was wondering if Zen Archer would work well with the Hunter class for a 4 level dip. However I hope that it is usable on the Unchained Monk instead of the core version. If I decide to be a switch hitter with the hunter class, it'd be great to pick up a bunch of free feats for the 4 levels in zen archer.

the unchained monk has no archetypes officially supported i believe, because it was too much of a divergence from the base class, more than any of the others.
Not 100% accurate anymore.
It is true that, generally speaking, monk archtypes are not compatible with Unchained Monk as they widely differe from Core Monk.
However at least 2 of the more recent archetypes: Scaled Fist and perfect Scholar can be used with both version of the Monk. And I think I saw a third one from Paizo that can also apply to both (both not necessarely at the same level).

Monk of the Mantis, Scaled Fist *Doesn't work well with Hunter because Cha vs Wis*, Black Asp, Sage Councilor, and Perfect Scholar
Mantis Dip*: 1d6 sneak attack only usable during flurry is pretty meh
Black Asp**: Poison use and a Ki power, still not that great
Sage Councilor***: First level Combat Expertise as a free feat is great if you plan on taking Pack Flanking (Note, you should always take pack flanking as a hunter) Feinting is meh though
Perfect Scholar*: +1 to hit vs any enemy you miss, not that great
If anything take Sage Councilor to save yourself a feat that is otherwise rather obnoxious to waste a normal feat on, otherwise just go with the normal UC monk.

There are a few archetypes unchained monks can take, but zen archer isn't one of them. It's already one of the best archers their is. Making it full bab would be ridiculously overpowered.

There is also the Serpent Fire Adept, if you want the ability to fly at 4th.

There are quite a few unchained monk archetypes in Legendary Monks!
