"It looks like the Jade Katana belongs to the descendants of a Satrap Taliq Asad as it was gifted to him by a Xeng Li who looks to be Mrs. Amara Li's ancestor. If we were to return it to Ms. Li we will be breaking a pact made hundreds of years ago."
Selter Sago de'Morcaine PFS |
Well sssince Asssad died without descendentsss, I would sssay the prior ownersss dessscendentsss have a bit more claim to it than any othersss. Now that we are not russshed, I would like to take sssome sssignificant time to examine it.
perception take 20: 20 + 8 = 28
spellcraft take 20: 20 + 0 = 20

Almost done!
You find a secret compartment in the jade katana. Inside the compartment
is a tightly-rolled document, which both serves as a letter of credit and details a trade agreement between any holder of that agreement and a group called the Way of the Kirin. The terms are written in both Tien and Kelish, and promise the holder the full support of the Way of the Kirin, along with naval and war materiel.

Guess we now know why she wanted the Katana
Sutekh Amun |
i say we return the item to it's rightful owner
Kaddok "Earth Hammer" |
Kaddok looks between the two parties. "We have a task before us, and we must complete it. If we go through with this scheme of yours, we will lose prestige within the Society. I will not accept that."
Walter das Sombras |
So, it's up to you to decide it while you're heading back to Absalom.
Tell me when it's done.
I've reported the game already, as my own, not to lose the deadline. All of you scored 2 PP, check your account to see if it's been accounted for. The sheets will be delivered once you finish this.

thanks :)
As i said, I say we give it to the rightful owner

I don't mind the dungeon so much, but i really need some bed rest

... As i said, I say we give it to the rightful owner
The rightful owner hasss been dead for ssseveral hundred yearsss. At thisss point no one has any legitimate claim. Asss they sssay, "findersss keepersss." I do not mind giving the katana to Lady Amara sssince that isss what we were requesssted to find. Further itemsss ssshould be paid for the ownerssship or retained.

Ready or not...
"Welcome back, Pathfinders!" - says Amara Li, smiling at seeing you once again. "I am happy to see all of you in such a splendid form" - She takes a quick look at your clothes, and realize how dirty you all are, all dust and dried blood. She sees the Jade Katana with one of you, going straight to the subject. "I see you got it. May I?" She extends a hand waiting.
Walter das Sombras |
She thanks you all, telling you that she will remember the favor in the future, and you may count with her if you need something in the future. Dismissed, you find yourselves walking out of the room, and once again the Trade Prince Aaqir al'Hakam comes into your view.
He have just heard of your glorious accomplishments and asks about any trade agreement you might have gotten your hands on.
Walter das Sombras |
He spends no time thinking, seeming to know all to well how to deal with the question.
"Personal favors are paid for personal favors, young one. It looks like you're eager for that, but I'll not offer you anything at the moment. You see, the trade agreements are useless for anyone but me, so I guess you have nothing to do with them beside that. Anyway, one never knows whose help he will need someday, and thus it's better to get as connections as you can. And as I said before, Qadira has always much to offer... Let's not waste more time with this, shall we?
And of course, that's how you earn prestige points!
Kaddok "Earth Hammer" |
Kaddok nods and sighs. "He's right - we'll not benefit from giving this information to anyone else. Let's give it to him and be done with it."
Selter Sago de'Morcaine PFS |
I still think the head of the 'merchant' faction and the 'Trade Prince' should have a better concept of business and trade instead of just something for nothing. And yes, they should have some value to some others. But PFS doesn't give us that opportunity to find.
I suppose we must give him the trade documents. But not the hidden bearer note. That obviously DOES have value and was not with the rest of the documents.
Walter das Sombras |
Maybe in another season, when you are both cats! You're right, it should give you some more options, but that is not really the point here, this is first steps, so they should be more simple...
The prince thanks you and everything. He is sad you already gave the katana to Amara Li, cause he knew something important that you would like to know (the agreement inside).
Major Maldris also approaches you all later and thank you for destroying the undead Maurit. "I know it was difficult,” he says. “The undead sometimes cling to life, but they always turn to evil. This was a hard lesson that I felt you had to learn, to better serve the common good. As Pathfinders, we should always serve the common good and always fight for freedom.”
This concludes everything, i hope you enjoyed while you could, and look forward to playing with you in other games. I'll be on quite a few in the game day to come. You have already received the online report granting you 2PP, but I'll take tomorrow or maybe friday to send the sheets, since I have no scanner, yet.
