Ignore that as a lot of confusion on my part and a lot of lack of sleep and some weekend travel posting from my phone that I forgot. Nich killed the dog
Nicholae moves engage Gogmurt. Red means thing is down, right?
Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Round 8
Spell: 3 of 4 1st level remaining
hp: 15 of 25
Arg still riding on his shoulder, watching his back, Lleidr will move 2 squares north to get line of sight on Gogmurt, apply Arcane Strike as a swift action, and fire an arrow at the goblin caster.
Short bow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
damage: 1d4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 + 1 = 1
Since my damage die can't be reduced below 1, should this damage actually be 2 (min 1 +1 for Arcane Strike)? Also, how sad is it that I'm scraping to get an extra point of damage?
Selia D'Averam

Selia will fall back while keeping an eye on the goblins to the south.
Round 8 | Move - North 2, East 1 | Ready Action - Attack hostiles to the South
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage Roll: 1d8 ⇒ 1

[Morning, Thistletop, Round 8, 7th Day After Goblin Raid]
Two goblins charge into the room from the northern side of the chamber, firing wildly at Selia, who is grazed by 1 arrow (hit for 1 dmg). Two more goblins are emerging from hiding from the southern tunnel, gingerly stepping over their dead. “She’s pretty, eh? I bet she’s sweet meat.”
“Yes,” his companion agrees in a growling scratchy voice. “We gets some tender stew meat tonight.” The whooping and yelling from the other Birdcrunchers is getting a bit louder.
Ned runs into the kennel room, aside and between Hakak and Jubrayl.
Jubrayl misses his cavorting, barking quarry.
Before the other dog can even rise up after Gogmurt’s action, Hakak’s axe slams down, cleaving the beast in two.
Leidr steps forward to fire at Gogmurt, but Ned blocks his view. The arrow sails into the brush.
Selia fires at one of the approaching goblins emerging from the southern tunnel, eliciting a surprised yelp, and then a snicker from her target’s companion.
Nicholae runs forward to fight Gogmurt, but his sword slashes fail to find their target.
“Tsk, tsk, holy man. Looks like your god isn’t very faithful to you.” Gogmurt cackles, and disappears into brambles making up the wall in front of you (NOTE – he took a Withdraw action to avoid Nich’s AoO; he moves 1 square west as he disappears from your sight).
The sole remaining goblin dog lashes out at Jubrayl, but the paladin’s shield proves too great a barrier for it.

Round 9
3 of 4 1st lvl spells remaining

Lleidr will look around, realizing Selia isn't with the main group. Sure that these four guys can deal with a dog and the caster (if he show's his face again), Lleidr will move 3 squares south and 1 square southeast, nocking an arrow and hitting it with Arcane Strike, holding his attack until he can get a clear shot at the goblins harassing our oracle.
If it comes up...
Short bow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Goblin dogs seemingly in hand Nicholae moves to near Selia Double move puts me one square behind her. If she can move backwards off to the side it creates a good bottle neck for us. I am trusting the paladin and Ned have the dog in hand either this round or the next

[Morning, Thistletop, Round 9, 7th Day After Goblin Raid]
From the darkened recesses of the briar tunnels, Goblin#5 fires at Selia (3 hp dmg). #7 fires as well, but misses. Goblin #8 executes a clumsy charge at Selia, but she catches the weapon thrust easily enough on her buckler and pushes it away. Goblin #2 sling his small bow on his back, and rushes towards Selia as well. There’s a terrific racket in the Hole Room, as more goblins rush in from the north tunnel.
Ned and Jubrayl try to coordinate their efforts, but the goblin dog is proving a capable fighter.
(NOTE – I couldn’t get Hakak right in front of Selia, because a goblin got there first, but I think you’re pretty close to where you want). Hakak storms towards the Hole Room, neatly slicing entire limbs off of Selia’s assailant.
Lleidr also moves to assist Selia, and tries firing at another goblin. The arrow bounces off an old iron kettle the goblin is using as a helmet, and he gives the Halfling an angry glare in return.
Selia gingerly extracts herself from the Hole Room (full round Withdraw action), wanting to keep an eye out for trouble coming from either of the north or south tunnels past the kennel.
(NOTE – Nich, I know you wanted to do a dbl move, but you’ve actually got a straight line for a charge; assuming you wouldn’t mind, I rolled one on your behalf). Nicholae rushes to stand beside Hakak, to block the goblins from moving any farther north. His blade slices through Selia’s second attacker, felling the wicked creature. The iron pot rolls off his head and lands at your feet.
An angry Gogmurt reappears in the kennel room and lobs a globe of fire at Ned from a clutched wand. “Leave that creature alone and leave this place! You have no business here.” The fire spatters and dissipates across Ned’s armor, leaving it a tad singed, but there’s no effect otherwise. You do notice however, that the shaman’s other hand holds a fiery dagger.

Round 10
3 of 4 1st level spells left
15 of 25 hp
Lleidr will look at the wall of goblin killing fury in front of him, shrug at the lost line of sight, then turn his attention back to that damn caster. He'll direct Arg to scamper off to the east, where the monkey can see Selia and warn him if she gets attacked. Arg does so, moving three squares east and hiding in the shadows of the thorn wall while watching Selia.
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Lleidr himself will move three squares northwest and one square north, nocking an arrow and using a swift action to apply Arcane Strike before taking a shot at Gogmurt.
Short bow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
damage: 1d4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 + 1 = 1

[Morning, Thistletop, Round 10, 7th Day After Goblin Raid]
The goblins in the hole room fire at Hakak with lackluster aim, before scattering once more; one takes off running deeper down the south tunnel, while the other three scatter out of sight into the northern half of the room.
As Ned steps over to hack at the shaman, his pet snaps at him, but fortunately, he’s too occupied with Jubrayl’s assault to give the ranger his full attention. Similarly distracted, Ned’s sword thrust also falters.
Jubrayl’s blade smashes into the back of the repulsive goblin dog, who then sinks to the ground.
Hakak has readied for an assault, but his assailants have fled into the brush once more.
Lleidr hustles towards the shaman, but, like Ned, misses his target too (NOTE – it’ll be harder to hit him while he’s engaged in melee).
(NOTE – no action recd for Selia … gotta assume something) .. Selia will cast CLW on Nich (8 hp regained).
Nicholae casts bless on the party (NOTE - remember to add your bonus till it’s over! I also had Nich step N 1 square so Ned would get included in the effect).
“Murderers. You won’t get away with killing our pets. Maybe Chief was right to raid your little hamlet, after all.” With a deft craftiness, Gogmurt steps away from Ned, avoiding any further blows, and disappears once more into the thick wall of nettles (NOTE - Game of Thorns?).
I’ll post a map image after I get back from dinner.

Do we try for the camp? We can hunt and chase all we wish but without a set enemy we will be hit and hit again with the gobbos to fade away
| ziltmilt |
Jubrayl: let's all try going across the bridge without breaking it.
I'm not sure why he mentioned breaking it, but whatever. The spell effect is still active in that north tunnel leading to the bridge, so you'll have to make some Reflex saves to get past it. I think 2 of you did no problem a few rounds ago, though, so it's definitely doable.
So, where's my players??? I'm really eager to see what everyone else thinks.
Selia D'Averam

Selia will hang back with Hakak and keep an eye out behind the party.
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
When she attempts to pass through the writhing plants, her leg gives out and she is unable to avoid the writhing plants.

Round 11
3 of 4 1st level spells
15 of 25 hp
Bless, 3 minutes remaining
Lleidr will change out his bow for the Fang of Erylium, keeping it ready in case Gogmurt shows his ugly face. If the goblin caster does make himself a target again, Lleidr will change his movement from following his long legged companions towards the bridge to getting as close as possible to Gogmurt while still retaining an attack (throwing the Fang).
If Lleidr ends up making a ranged attack:
Fang of Erylium (thrown): 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 = 9 apply range modifiers as necessary
damage: 1d3 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 + 1 = 3
If Lleidr makes a full move into the entangled area, he'll summon Arg back to him as he passses nearest him. The little monkey is faster than Lleidr, so hopefully a quick dash over and a jump will reunite them.
Reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Not sure if Arg needs to make a save, so just in case:
Arg's Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

[Morning, Thistletop, Round 11, 7th Day After Goblin Raid]
“Lookit that! Big, strong ogre-guy is too scared to come fight us! What’s the matter, muscles? Looks like you’re trembling. He’s too scared to fight us Birdcrunchers.” The raucous yelling from the hole room tunnels continues.
Selia is stuck fast inside the northern tunnel, grabbed by several whipping vines, and is entangled. Next round, you’ll need to spend an action to break free.
Nich, Lleidr, Ned, and Jubrayl get to just outside the area of effect. So, you’ll be hitting the entangling plants next round.
Hakak guards the southern approach, but only hears the continued taunt and jeers coming from the edges of the Hole Room.
Hakak Bloody Axe
|
Upon hearing the taunts Hakak starts to fume, but is able to keep control backing away slowly towards the rest of the group.
Hakak will do a double move at half speed backwards so he can keep an eye on the tunnels in case an enemy gets bold enough to come after them.

Round 12
3 of 4 1st level spells
15 of 25 hp
Bless, 29 rounds remaining
This seems like a perfect chance for Gogmurt to reappear and ambush us as we lose DEX and mobility bonuses, so Lleidr will keep the Fang in hand. He'll be performing a full-round action, so he won't be able to attack, but he may be able to make an attack of opportunity.
I want to keep Lleidr's original REF save (Reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17) and hope that Arg doesn't have to roll since he's riding on my shoulder again. If he does need to roll, I guess I should use his original roll, too, for fairness (Arg's Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9).
Lleidr will watch in surprise as the paladin rushes off, leaving a companion in distress, then take a 5' step (1 square northwest, into Selias's location) into the area of writhing, grabbing brambles and Aid Another (Selia) with her Escape Artist roll to get out of the entanglement.
"Hang on, Selia, we'll get these briars off you!"
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
"...ummm...hopefully soon."
Oh, and if Arg does get snared, as soon as Lleidr can return him to his tattoo/scar state (unsure what type of action this is), he'll do so.
