I personally do not want a 'protégé' If I die, I would rather roll a new character and introduce them. But I guess the question is how many NPC's does MJ66 want to run...
If I remember correctly we calculated the value of everything and tried to split it evenly. Do we want to continue doing that, or just claim what you can use and sell the rest?
If were splitting everything totally even, I will start putting values to the magical items... but it's a pity to waste them.

I think we should keep some of the magical Items. Like the Bags of Holding, the Flying Carpet which could be party based.
I am not used to this style of diving up things still. I was in a group you rolled off to try and claim the items you wanted. Which rarely went in my favor. Or let those who could benefit the most be granted the item.
Saves some on the PCs going and buying magical items.
Maybe we could mark items that could benefit the part the most and keep them while the rest we sell off? Just not sure.
As for the protege system, I just had a home game where my character died, having no Protege, and had to roll a new PC from level 1 in a group of level 10s so I am a bit paranoid

Ah, so that's why the concern for the protégé. I assumed that if our character died at level 10 we would roll a level 10 character to enter into the game.
I agree, some items should be 'Party Items: the bag, the rug, any consumables.
I'm used to magic items going to the people who can use them, or want them. But that everyone trying to be fair. MJ66 you were very involved the last conversation we had about 'wealth' what is you take on this?

i suggest this...Vanna gets the rapier...kinda obvious...the elvin chain would be nice, but i have a +1 mithral shirt...so no biggie if someone else wants it. Wulfgar takes the greatsword and belt or strength...again..obvious. Mwikali take the ring or pro and amulet...boost your AC....you might be able to use the force shield ring...up to MJ....the boots and cloak of elvenkind is nice..as well as the cape of the mountebank...let's Wulfgar get in and smoke someone before they know whats going on....
and my posts in gameplay didnt save...gotta do my lvl up againj to...going a lvl in slayer....

My personal feelings on magical items, I like keeping and using as much of the magical items as we can. Mostly because when we sell them at half price we don't get value. Secondly, a lot of modules and GM's put items in that we can use. I was in one 'Frog Gods' game that we faced a golem, but the party had sold the adamantine longsword they found because it didn't fit anyone's 'style' (that was before I joined the game) so we got our rear-ends handed to us.

I like it, if you keep the elvin chain and give the mitheral shirt to Alvin or vice-versa, I think he's still wearing leather. Also since he is our 'thief' he should have the elven boots and cloak, and the 'helmet of the bat'
Wulfgar has a cloak of resistance, so lets make the 'cape of the mountebank' a group item so whoever is sneaking can use it.
Mwikali has a amulet, so that goes to Altin? also possibly the dagger, since I don't think he has a magical weapon at all... or possibly your other rapier?

If any of this isn't great for everyone, please speak up. I haven' looked at the actual "Value" of anything, if that matters to anyone please say something. We can use the amulet or other ring, to balance out 'value' or swap something else. Like I said just trying to move along. We have an Emir to kill :-)

we should also ask the NPC's what roles they see themselves filling in Safi, This will give MJ66 a little time to prep his NPC's to volunteer :-)

Mwikali finds a small library in the monastery that has a few musty tones on arcane subjects in Arabic, Latin, and Draconic... Between these old grimoires, she can learn a few new spells... Let me research a bit and I’ll get back to you on which...

Two options Wulfgar has two empty language slots I forgot to fill, can he make draconic one?
The other option is try other languages and gestures.
Or does Achiko speak draconic?
I’ll allow him to take Draconic and another language of his choice now to fill those two slots. Perhaps his patron Archangel suddenly bestows it upon him in this moment?

Hey folks, sorry to say, but I'm going to have to let this game go, at least for now. I'm currently finishing up my master's thesis, and this game and others are just not getting the time and attention they deserve. I've spoken to mj about it, and I've been trying to find an appropriate time to ride off into the sunset, but it hasn't occurred yet. Our glorious GM has left the door open for me to come back in the future, so we'll see how we go!

My bad, it is a belt of physical might that increases Strength and Dexterity. Either of you could benefit. Roll for it!
