"Yes, we are well aware there are no gnolls here. Not now. But this shrine is holy to Nethys, and I seek to reclaim it in his name. What are you doing here?"

"As Nethys has never left, and now his followers have returned, I must ask you to do the same. I do not begrudge you living here until now, but your presence is no longer welcome. To Nethys or to me."
Faysal Ibn Ahmad Ibn Aziz |
"Now now Numair, let's not be rude. After all, Haidar may have lived here for many years. NO matter what claim Nethys has on this structure, there has to be room for compassion."
Faysal moves to stand in front fo the group, hands open and outstretched.
"Haidar, you don;t need to leave, but there will be more people coming here, soon. We can tell them to let you be, or if you wish to greet them, it is your choice. But we cannot stop them from coming, that die is cast. We will withdraw and await your decision."
With that, Faysal grabs Remos' pant legs and tugs him gently towards the exit.

Faysal Ibn Ahmad Ibn Aziz |
"Hmm, you may be onto something there lad."
Faysal pads back to Haidar.
"Haidar, since you know the area so well, would you be willing to be our guide? This structure has been very dangerous so far, and having someone who knows it;s perils would be most helpful. I have some gold, or food and water if you prefer, and our sponsor is sure to reward you for your assistance."
DM Xyro |
As Faysal returns around the corner to address Haidar, he sees what was once a man now what could only be described as a tiger standing on two legs. His facial features are still recognizable and the look of fear has turned to anger. His mouth curls into a snarl as he leaps on what he sees as intruders into his only home. His punching dagger with a 15 inch blade adorned with the elaborate etchings of a Katapeshi leopard slides into Faysal's flesh. As soon as Faysal feels the pain he sees new scratches appear on Haidar's chest as if he had just been raked by an unseen leopard. Haidar screams in pain but the anger does not subside.

'I've found wuite the treasure haul here. Some gold pieces, 343 I'd say, ceramic totem idols, bloodstained, raggy silk veil. And he had two potions and quality chain mail, not to mention that infernal looking punching dagger.'
'The weapon screams cursed to me, though if the chain is of the light variety I'd like to but it with my split of the funds. I'll need it. For all the bats, the large large bats, echocolating in screams, diametrically opposed to the sun, but the sun is blue, don't they know!' Makin starts to laugh manically.

You find a trap door behind where Haidar was hiding.
DM Xyro |
A foul, metallic miasma assails the nostrils here. This vast chamber is clearly some sort of ominous worship hall. Frescos upon the walls and dozens of columns depict the terrifying power of magic, as radiant figures destroy entire worlds. Massive pillars support the chamber’s lofty ceiling, each covered with complex glyphs and designs. Between each column, glass lamps hang from chains of green copper, radiating pallid, bluish lights that pulse and flicker in unison. At the room’s southern end, the temple’s alabaster altar gleams in the erratic blue light, its pedestal carved in the shape of winged, scale-covered bulls.
sorry for the lag, I have been out of town for a while.
