you can cast when entangled but it would take a concentration check.


Remos becomes in enraged as he's entangled in the web.

STR: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

If that's not enough to break free, I'll do another attempt at getting free. Otherwise, I'll attack.

STR: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14


Haldo attacks Spider #2 with his Magic bastard sword cutting it in two.
Faysal whips a sling stone at spider #3 hitting it squarely, and moves to get close to Remos.
Remos breaks free form his bondage and strikes the spider in front of him with a massive blow sending it falling to the ground dead.
Numair attempts to break free from the web but does not succeed.
Spider 3 scurries forward and bites Remos 5 damage.
Spider 4 bites at Makin but misses as it slips down the wall.
Makin again stabs at spider 4 with his magic weapon striking him with his rapier.

Makin, deftly raises his blade once more, and stabs for a weak point in the arachnids chitin.

Remos roars as retaliates against the second spider to bite him.

Haldo moves to flank with Remos but misses the spider
Faysal taps Remos' leg with his wand of CLW, and tries to keep the brawny human between him and the arachnid.
Remos roars as retaliates against the second spider to bite him smiting it dead.
Numair attempts to fire off one of his force missiles, targeting spider #4 and striking it unerringly.
The remaining spider attempts to bite Makin but cannot breach his armor.
Makin, deftly raises his blade once more, and stabs for a weak point in the arachnids chitin dropping it dead.

All the spiders are dead!

Makin grins widely at his companions, then wipes his rapier on the dead body of the spider at his feet.

Makin walks over and starts to cut away and pull off webs covering his arcanely inclined companion.

'Well, there we have our squatters evicted. Let's just explore the back end of the shrine and then we can plan our strike on Kelmarane, yes?' he says as he works at freeing Numair.

As you are breaking Numair free a flagstone near the water trough pulls free and falls to the floor breaking revealing an small cavity with has a sack in it. Inside the sack is treasure including a golden pectoral, a copper mask symbol of Nethys, 82 tarnished silver pieces, and an intricate bronze scarab.

Makin gathers up the sack, temporarily distracted from Numair and places it within his larger treasure sack, to be divided later.

The next room seems to be more eroded walls with little features left. This roofless room also has sand in the corners.

As you enter two light green orbs dance around Remos in what seems to be excitement.

"The scarab radiates magic, my frie... I see everyone waited around. Oh well." As he looks around the apparently empty room, Numair follows after the rest.

I want to give everyone a heads up: I'm traveling on business to Italy the week of July 5th (through the 10th), and to China the week of the 19th (through the 23rd). While I may have some internet time, I doubt it will be much during those weeks. Please feel free to DMPC me as needed during those times.

the globes seem to be the same as produced by Dancing Lights. You have heard of the kinds of "permanent" magic that usually fill temples to Nethys.

Makin's and your looks reveal nothing out of the ordinary for an old ruin.

Remos follows Makin and Faysal.

Remos dives through the trapdoor.

The trapdoor is not fully open and will require a strong back to lift it.

I'm back; will post up tomorrow after getting caught up and shaking off the jet lag that results from being on a plane for 10 1/2 hours.

Numair watches his companions struggle with the trapdoor, not wanting to try and 'help' this time. He will scan the area around the sanctuary, plus any siderooms, for magical auras using detect magic, and then see what he can figure out regarding the paintings on the wall.

Faysal tries to give encouragement to the "Big fellas" as they grunt and strain at the door.


Remos pulls open the slab and sets it to the side, looking down into the shaft descending 30' to a sloping ramp. a climb check will be required to descend the shaft.

Makin and Numair notice nothing interesting in the surrounding rooms except some eerie piping coming from the room they just left.

'Guess I'll go in first,' Makin states as he activates the light spell on his wayfinder to make a pebble glow like a torch. He then drops the pebble into the shaft and begins to climb down.

Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6


Remos climbs down the shaft.
