Verim Pharae |

Hrm, I'm pretty sure that requires striking you down first. And I dont hit ladies.. when they arent on the battlefield.. because doing one off or not doing the other on.. is quite rude.

Mia Rumsfield |

Now why would Wendaug be jealous if Verim spanks what seems like a human child?
At most she might slap you for "hitting a child", haha.

Verim Pharae |

I-I thought Wendaug was the one who wanted to do the spanking? Or maybe it the attention. I-I Er.. My mind has to adjust to this.. *Looks in the air fantasizing* Done.
.. Also spankings are weak, Verim got used to those after a while.. there are far worse punishments.

Mia Rumsfield |

Lest i cast reduce person, then Wendaug can lay a little Verim over the knee for spanking punishment.

Verim Pharae |

I would say The opposite, Verim balances out Maxwell.. He is an oddball and is rarely serious about a thing (Unless its one of his rage-buttons) even now that he's in mortal danger, hungover, and enjoying it. Maxwell is dour, he can be that way, He can be the (mostly)serious one. Though they both Worship some serious gods they are two sides of a coin. Verim just reacted to his tragic moment differently.

Verim Pharae |

Which is funny.. because Verim's isnt, he's a pretty cool dude and even sided with Ragathiel when others didnt. He protects people. But at this point, Maxwell decides to follow Groteus.. so he should not be surprised.

Mia Rumsfield |

Meanwhile Mia's got a great source of power, her ancestors.
MOAR witches, it's a thing from mother's side.

Verim Pharae |

Heh, when they get a chance they should sit down and talk to each other. On that note.. Luci.. I advise you smite this guy if ony because.. he's had time to buff..

Mia Rumsfield |

No, Mia's real mom died fighting the cause against the worldwound, so she might have been stationed there years ago. Her adoptive mom whom she came here with probably died during the fall, at your discretion of course. We know practically nothing of what went on.
But since her real mom was a witch it seems the most logical thing, for The Ancestors witch patron to be from her mother's side.

Mia Rumsfield |

Ah but Verim, she'd have to do it properly, if the guy is smitten by Luciana, he'll be all over her like a puppy following his mistress and..
wait, wrong kind of smitten.

Tallina Kapok |

Part of Laris' ragesong if you take it, which there's no reason not to unless you are casting. +2 Str, +2 Con, +1 Will Saves, -1 AC, and access to her spirit totem. +5 to hit, deals 1d4+3 negative energy damage on a hit.

Verim Pharae |

Well there IS reason, if you are not reckless as Verim or at this moment, Tallina.. Because it lowers your AC.. which against this guy could be lethal if you cant take a hit.. and Luci isnt exactly a damage sponge. Conversely for people like Verim, who gains damage and Hp increase and has a pretty good AC to start, it stands as an all good bonus. it makes his AC still the highest overall. Laris, for example takes the rage and then uses Combat expertise to retain her AC but do more damage.
Also finally you get a break Tallina, good job HOWEVER the astonding amount of High rolls here does not bode well.
And to mi.. who says being smitten doesnt work the other way around. Verim sure isnt a puppy at all, he's still a Fierce wolf!

Verim Pharae |

Contrary to popular belief, Goblins have a good AC.. especially ones that wear any armor. I just think its not a good sign. Hrmm.. If we were playing the Lord of the Rings War game, Tallina, Verim and most likely Laris all are in the LEAD!

Verim Pharae |

That sounds most unfortunate.. but luckily for you it gets better as you level. I mean, I currently have gotten lucky with Verim, as most of his combat style is flawed somewhat.. but its what he'd do.. and its worked out alot. Basic idea, He TWF's and as long as one attack hits he continues, when he has to move OR the Enemy seems to have a high enough AC he defaults to single attacks if that fails or the person looks magey/less armored he goes for CMB attacks.

Mia Rumsfield |

Sshhh, don't ruin the moment.
Scythes are badass Tallina, don't mind the yapping dismissal. ;)

Verim Pharae |

T-T and I got through all the trouble of protecting you all.. and this is the thanks I get? *tears up as enemies cling off my armor*

Verim Pharae |

Something seems off about his damage.. as even a raging barbarian with 20 str start and Power attack at second mark doesnt do +18.. they do 17 though.. assuming a +1 weapon. He did however have what? 3 rounds to buff overall? Though he might be like.. 6th level maybe. But then +10 to hit would seem a little low AFTER buffing.

Verim Pharae |

Well its not 1 in 10 its much lower because of needing to confirm and as I said his damage should probably not be that high. Even with 2-3 less damage Luci would have gone down because She was hit for 4. But Hey, If Verim dies.. he dies.. I almost feel like Hontor got an extra buff round somewhere in there.

Verim Pharae |

Issue there, for you to charge both Laris and Tobongo would have to move out of your way.. as it has to be a straight line. Upside, you placed yourself up for Scythening.

Maxwell Lionheart |

Retconned the charge and got a 22. My to-hit actually isn't low, but I just have horrible attack rolls it seems. That aside, we're both up for Scythening, and your boasting likely makes you the next target. I think this Hontor fellow is the type to smite based on alignment, and guess who's neutral :U

Verim Pharae |

I dont think he actually has to smite and that extra is probably just regular buffing. Especially when I hear 'Weapon of Awe' and whatnot. He's obviously a warpriest tho. Verim is fatigued so his to hit is lower by 1 and so was damage. You can only get there by charging. Now you CAN charge along the top there provoking from the one cultist and taking Luci's space however.

Bull's Strength
Weapon of Awe: +2 damageBlessing of Destruction: +2 damage
Magic Weapon: +1 damage
Power Attack: +3 damage
Unholy Strike: 1d6 evil damage
I doubt the fight will last another round: go ahead and peak at my profile to see Hontor's statblock.
I may have added the +3 from power attack twice

Verim Pharae |

Yeah I think thats what you did, add the +3 twice. Looking at it I thought he STARTED with a 20 str.. which also would have the same results.

Verim Pharae |

Oh yeah I think your changed out Madness for that? You havent changed your stuff so we cant really know. Otherwise, a this point a sneeze on the guy will down him.

1st attempt of GM at converting a PC. The praying to a demon deity is along this arc, am i right? ;)

Verim Pharae |

Worshiping a Demon to Fight Demons is not fully out of the question.. However then you would meet Serious Verim.. and thats terrible for Demons.

Tallina Kapok |

Only character I've ever had worship a demon lord was a separatist of Aldinach who was a separatist cleric who wanted to purge the will of evil from his goddess as she should just be the goddess of the desert sun. He enjoyed killing cultists. I think over time that build evolved into an Inquisitor X/2 Ranger that dual wielded kukri. The ACG archetype for an animal companion really helped because in home games you can always ask your gm if you can get a giant scorpion instead.
