Awww crap! I couldn't remember what the save was so I was thinking maybe just maybe that would get it done. I actually was feeling fairly good about it. Well, AFTER the mythic roll of course. Not the 21. I knew that was garbage. Ugh. Ah well. If I could freaking roll out of the stupid single digits, I wouldn't have this problem. :P

Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 15/Archmage 7 Portrait

Ansha's Manipulator subschool specialization ability Shape Emotions offers a +4 bonus to saves against mind-affecting abilities for allies within 30' of her, if you'll allow her to use that on the same round as Morgrym is making the save, Variel.

Since you know he was being manipulated I will allow it. Just mark off the mythic point to get the action for it and all good.

Morgrym up and I will not Garith after Morgrym goes

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Gonna have to post tomorrow. I meant to and got sidetracked and freaking forgot. My bad.

Although I do have a question. Is Morgrym's current location accurate? It looks like he's right next to a ghost-looking bad guy holding a sword. Is this the person that cast the domination?

Yes that is the second Yaniel who had you escort her out.

Morgrym, I think you are still dominated?

Yep. Ansha is right. She had some type of cool spell that helped him out. And amazingly enough, he needed it every bit of it to just barely clear that save hurdle.

Guys, I am sharing with you the PM I sent to Variel last Tuesday, regarding our Reign of Winter and Wrath of the Righteous games:

'Hey Variel,

I wanted to drop you a line and say I am going to leave the games. My upfront apologies to you man - this is all on me, I am simply not feeling it.

Not much point in dissecting it, but I am not getting the thrill, or enthusiasm, or excitation of saving Golarion by fighting heroically in the Worldwound! Or of saving the World by searching for Baba Yaga across the dimensions!

I am not exactly sure why - if it is the nature of higher level gaming in Pathfinder, or even simply me and what I am looking for in the games. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know.

I want to apologize again - you have made an amazing effort with these two games over the years. It feels wrong to not follow them through, but this has been gnawing at me for a long time. If I go over my Campaigns page, see a post in these games, and skip them, then something is wrong and there is no point in dragging it.

So... Yeah. I will step aside, and leave room for someone perhaps more enthusiastic.

For what it is worth, there were some really amazing moments, and I hope the group carries on. Gigantic kudos to you as a GM - you already know how much I appreciate what you have done.

Honestly hope we see each other around the boards.

Best,
Helgash a.k.a. Zeriax'

There is really not much more to say, but I want to extend the words and gigantic kudos to all of you, older and newer arrivals at the game. Hope to see you guys around.

Sorry to see you go, Zeriax. We've shared many moments on the boards - I look forward to more in the future.

All the best Zeriax. We had done great moments together

So with Zeriax moving on to greener pastures and no word from Garith in a long time what do we want to do moving forward? I will say that from personal experience with my table top game this campaign gets exceedingly difficult for both players and gm as the amount of options available with mythic pints and immediate actions and retcons increase.

All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Really sorry to see you go, Zeriax. That stinks.

Personally? I'm loving this game. I'd hate to see it die off. But if I'm in the minority, then, I guess that's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. It stinks but I'm not naive about it. I've been around here long enough to know these things happens. Been a part of a few games back in the day that I wish had never died but what are you gonna do, you know?

I actually love high level type stuff. I love the options you have at higher levels. And I love the challenges it brings. That's part of what makes the game fun. How to overcome the next challenge. And I always find it cool how others in the party find ways to overcome them as well. Because a lot of the times I'm like: "Wow. They can really do that? Man THAT'S cool."

Anyway, I'd love to keep rolling in this one if you all are willing. We've got solid players and a solid DM. Those are not easy to find so I try to appreciate them when I do. :)

Outside of that, if the rest of you are willing and want to keep going, I could take a stab at a couple of folks and see if they might be interested in taking Zeriax's place.

Also, I did NOT realize October was the last time Garith posted. Wow. Should we look to replacing him as well? Seems ominous to be gone that long without a word. Hope everything is all right with him.

Let me know.

My guess is that parenthood is eating up all of Garith's time, free or otherwise. I'm happy to continue, personally. I like the premise of this AP a lot, and Ansha is a fun character for me to play.

I’m in for as long as the game goes on. I have played few games that reached high levels, so it’s new ground for me.

Sounds like a consensus then. I have a couple of feelers out in my other games and have some interest generating. Can you guys do me a favor and totally your character wealth. This will be a good time to rest that and give a an accurate place for new characters to start. I know it is way behind the wbl curve but that is intentional with mythic and artifact items not having a price.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Actually, Morgrym is at 190k in gold. Which is just a bit over level limit. :P

@Variel: If you could use a Kellid barbarian for your Winter game I got a guy. I know, another barbarian. What can I say? I'm a big fan of smashy guys. (To be fair he's part ranger as well) :) No worries if not though. And I mean that honestly. Just throwing it out there for "just in case" purposes. I can be the "last resort" guy if necessary. That's fine by me. If you've got somebody else in mind already then rock on, bud! It's all good. :)

Cleric of Sarenrae 15 [ HP 121/121 (0 NL)| AC 28 T 17 FF 24| F12 R11 W16 +2 vs Death Effects| CMD 29| Init +11| Perc +7, Darkvision 60' | 6/8 Channel 8d6 DC 22 | Restorative Touch 7/7| Hierophant MR7| MP 17/17 Surge +1d10 | Staff of Healing 9 chg | Effect: ]

Nasira is carrying just shy of 109K - assuming the purchase price is what the value is based on.

I was told earlier in the thread here when I joined that I'd be WBL as per an 11th level character (i.e. 82k) so I'm guessing that's around where I am. I'll have to manually tally it though.

Yep, about 82k once I count the various additional spells I added to her spellbook.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah Morgrym is like WAAAAY above WBL. But to be fair, it was stuff that was found. Nothing has been created for him. For whatever that's worth anyway.

Cleric of Sarenrae 15 [ HP 121/121 (0 NL)| AC 28 T 17 FF 24| F12 R11 W16 +2 vs Death Effects| CMD 29| Init +11| Perc +7, Darkvision 60' | 6/8 Channel 8d6 DC 22 | Restorative Touch 7/7| Hierophant MR7| MP 17/17 Surge +1d10 | Staff of Healing 9 chg | Effect: ]

Keep smashing demons, Morgrym, and we will continue to be happy to feed you magic toys to smash them with. Just sayin'

That and some of the items are party items on his list...instant fortress is 55k. 2 bags of holding as well add to the value.

To make it fair for you and those eventually joining how about we adjust to 12 level wealth. That will increase Ansha and Nasira a bit and be a good starting point for the others. If we add a paladin then he/she can have that option or character level 10 but gain Radiance as well.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

THAT'S RIGHT! I totally forgot about the instant fortress. Yeah that's a party item for sure along with the bags of holding. And the bags I didn't even consider to NOT include.

Man for some reason I thought in the back of mind that there had to be something amiss. But I just couldn't place it.

Which would put Morgrym at about 120k. Which is WAY more reasonable.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

Hi folks,

Variel invited me to fill in as the new paladin -- I've got a somewhat atypical one here.

I believe he's built correctly for level 13 with level 10 wealth.

Welcome Arigoder

Yes level 10 wealth as if this turns out the way Ansha is trying for the paladin is in for a nice set of items.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Tilnar! What's up, bud?! Long time no see, man. I remember Arigoder. Been a LONG time but I remember him. Don't remember the game though. Carrion Crown maybe? Gosh it's been too long. Okay, I gotta go check.......... HA! It was Carrion Crown. Wow.

Good to have you on board, bud.

Aside: Oh my gosh I can't believe that was 8 years ago. Man where DOES the time go? Getting old fast I am. Time surely don't stand still for nobody let me tell you. :)

Lastwall Heroes - Current Date: Toilday, 31 Desnus, 4711 AR | Shadowrun - Current Date: Saturday, March 13, 2060

Recycled the name, Javell -- this isn't your parent's Arigoder. ;)

..and, no it doesn't. I very much know that feeling (I'm actually still playing a game or two that's about that old, even..)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

HA!

And yeah I'm nearly there also. I'm in one that's been going about 8(I've been in it for 7) and another I started in 10 years ago but it did take a 3 year hiatus in between before being resurrected.

Ugh. The more I talk about it the older I feel I swear. I have GOT to shut up. :P

Lastwall Heroes - Current Date: Toilday, 31 Desnus, 4711 AR | Shadowrun - Current Date: Saturday, March 13, 2060

*lol* I know *that* feeling too. ;)

Either way, glad to be here and looking forward to playing with you again -- even if I won't be eating any books this time. ;)

There'd be a very upset wizard if you did!

Hey! Congrats Arigoder. This is a fantastic game and has been awesome to play. Hope you have some sense motive cause Garith has been fooled a few times.

Garith! You're back! I hope you've been healthy and just too busy to visit. You must take care of yourself, you know.

Well met, Tilnar/Arigoder!

I feel the pain of the years on the boards, I do. I was in a nine-year campaign that's been in hiatus for a few years already. I'm officially old, I'm afraid.

Lol, I've been too baby to to brain. A 10 month old without being able to get much help due to quarantine has been a lot, and my wife tends to work 10 hour days cause she has to break for feeding.

Well, I just want you and yours to be healthy. Glad to hear it's time and not health keeping you occupied elsewhere. Hope the tyke is doing well and you are spoiling their mom on occasion, whatever that means in the climate that is 2020.

Your cleric insists.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

Always listen to your cleric. ;)

I'll go back and double-check the build guidelines -- for instance, I note that the last time I re-speced Ari here was for someone handing out max HP -- which doesn't seem to be the case here.

Hp is half hd +1 after first level

No problem. Also, as a replacement character, do I still get a campaign trait?

Yes you do or you can switch it out for a different trait if you want

After this fight yes. I was going to have 1 more encounter but it works now as we are adding 2 people before you go to the abyss

Here's hoping y'all don't kill the thing before Nasira hits Yaniel's body with a restoration spell.

Explain, please. I'm not familiar with why that would be beneficial.

Ansha didn't explain it IC, but she did call to Nasira, "Can you cast a restore on Yaniel's body?!"

OOC, it's the second part (after hitting the 'husk,' that is, Yaniel's body, with a dispel or remove curse or the like) of breaking the connection between Yaniel's body and the lilitu demon.

Still working on the gear, but should have this done by this weekend.
