I feel like a ranged bard might work well with us, so there is that Range support, and Var, Xan, Sheelah, and Beck would do well with Inspire courage, and they do decent ranged support. The issue being the wether penalties that Gabe faced, but Bard can also do cool stuff with a whip potentialy, i dunno


The weather penalties were a problem with the first adventure but is not as much of an issue through the next 2 books. i will pm Trevor again asking what he would prefer to play and if a ranged character appeals to him. If not, what would he like to play and go from there.

As for hp for future levels I use the society method of 1/2 hd +1 +normal modifiers. It seems to keep things even and prevent the wizard from having more up than the barbarian due to unlucky rolls by the barbarian. Whenever you are ready let me know and we can pick you up in Heldren as an associate of Nadya.

Guys, from the loot of the last fight - anything against me taking the Masterwork Cold Iron Longsword. We can either sell my own (not masterwork), or hand it to someone else?

There are 6 cold iron longswords so you should be fine taking1 of them. There is enough for everyone to have one should we run into something with cold iron resistance.

How should I deal with Gabe's share of the loot?
Is Jetro coming with cash? Cause we can jsut convert his share to party loot, and take away the stuff he paid for or had other than the leather armor?


Jetro is coming in with cash of his own. As far as Gabe's loot, halve his portion and split it among the rest of the group including Jetro. This will give Jetro some cash in the pool as well should he need something. With removing the +2 leather armor I believe he had around 2400gp as his share. That should give everyone another 200gp once it is halved.

sorry Variel if I didn't describe enough of what we have to do to Jetro... I don't think I, out of character, or Venja, in character, really knows more than that we have to get to the hut to somehow stop Elvanna... I think we know it's a planar device (that's sort of general ooc info, but I think we know it ic too, but not sure of that), but more than that and what we have to do with it and how it works is all fuzzy for me.

If there's something more Venja should have told Jetro, drop me a pm and I'll bring it up in character... I just know your post from Variel makes me think I left something important out.

Per the PRD.

Size and Magic Items

When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn't be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items.

There may be rare exceptions, especially with race-specific items.

Armor and Weapon Sizes: Armor and weapons that are found at random have a 30% chance of being Small (01–30), a 60% chance of being Medium (31–90), and a 10% chance of being any other size (91–100).

So, clothing and jewelery re-size, armor and weapons don't.


the armor does me no good as it has the same AC as a chain shirt. Variel will pass on it. If Xanxan wants it, I am seriously considering that magic armor can be altered by 1 size category as it seems you can either never find small armor or that is all you find. Plus since it is purchased and not found as part of loot I will say that he can tailor it to his needs in the 4 days of travel that he group did. I know it is not RAW but I hate seeing the small guys lose out.

sounds fine to me... was just quoting the prd for RAW... you can always house rule it... it especially makes sense since it's leather armor and he's such a fine worker with tailoring. would make less sense with something like plate armor, lol.

Xanxan does have the Cloak of the Yetti, but seeing as he's currently wearing leather armor, I don't think anyone will take any issue with our gnome-buggy getting +2 AC. Especially when we're about to leave the shopping center and there's nothing for us to buy and nothing that we can buy, before going into a dungeon!

Also I've Zeroed out the loot. THe only thing is that the gear from the last right is liquidated on our sheet, but is actually still gear. It's just easier to track as gear. we have a lot of money guys.

I've given Jetro a chunk of Gabe's share, now there may need to be some editing...

Helgash how did you get your cash? I think you came in with a full share of loot, about 2k? or were you supposed to get a Chunk or Anee's cash? I don't recall. I don't want to short-change you a couple grand right now by accident


If I remember correctly, I came in with 1k (instead of the WBL 2k for level 3), to balance out the fact that I could buy tailored gear while you guys had to make do with what you found.

I could use the Con belt, due to life link. But then again I guess it is equally as useful for anyone that regularly gets in a scuffle - like Beck ;)

You guys want to chip in for a wand of CLW?

THE PROblem was the availability of a clw wand... i think there were only 2 potions available.

Corrct you never found a wand of cure light to purchase. I will warn you that the ol' magic shoppe does not carry everything all of the time. You might have to do without, make yr own, or use something close but not exact.


Beck, with the prehensile tail you are able to withdraw it as your swift load it as a move and fire it as a standard action.

Helgash, I have never played with the move action being anything other than physically moving from point A to point B. As such, you would not be able to draw, load, and fire in 1 round.

Hey, Is xanxan a Pyromaniac?
it replaces gnome magic and ilusion magic and gets him Produce Flame as a daily and with Extra Gnome Magic he gets 3 extra uses. also dancing lights, flare, and prestidigitation, but whetever. Produce Flame is pretty killer for an SLA

Correction definitely no map update tonight as I work on this I will let you guys know when I am back up and running with maptools.
