I would go with Athens. But that is mainly because I like it more and know the most about it.
Laconia a.k.a Sparta has a militant culture that's oddly more egalitarian to women but still slavery is rather ugly. The virtue is that their fearsome reputation and military dedication means it's less likely Macedonia or Rome will goggle up a united Greece.
Athens while also rich and powerful is more of a Naval power. They value philosophy and debate which means sometimes government moves slow. Slavery is illegal and citizens are more equal but also generally men.
I will support Sparta, But mostly because I worship Mars/Aries and follow the same ideals as the militant nation

Also, The magic items from the top where that Elysian Bronze Shortsword, a ring of light, and I was planning a loot drop eight before the Minotaur.
The ring if light was originally gonna be a Mythic item but it's out of my hands.
Oh, and the ball of yarn that allows you to travel through the maze to any destination, but it doesn't stop you from encountering monsters. Also, sorry for all the slimes!
@Nali Everything looks good with 1 exception you have a Steel Greatsword, steel doesn't exist yet... swap materials I'll allow for Elysian Bronze.

Since people are missing the purple fog of GM fiat seemed appropriate. I'm not ruling the Centaur dead and there might be another character or two kicking around elsewhere in the maze. So you guys have an idea of where I'm at I'm letting charger in and introducing a friendly NPC which will bring the party to 8. Scaling to 8 is easier then scaling to 7 or even 6. It will mean more foes and more chances to shine.
I'm thinking this is likely going to be a series of mid sized combats with large number of foes and little break, the enemy has an objective you have a few tactical options but ultimately you're being hunted. Resolving that is your next level up.
Hopefully you'll uncover some details in the course of this plot that will help you resolve the next and I'm very much working an arc within the Labyrinth and for the scope of the whole campaign. Thank you for trusting em with this.

Okay I'm all leveled up. Figuring still tier 1, so that's fine.
Also GM Solspiral, I'm okay with what you have planned. As you probably gathered from the roleplay interactions Nessius had prior, he's more focused on practicality than propriety.
Mythic Tier 1 is still correct. There's 3 foes in the maze that will ultimately get you to L4/MT2 that I have planned. There's going to be some very exciting treasure on the horizon too. Greek Mythology is a deep well.
When you have the Cleave Feat and are using a Spear: I stab SOOOO hard that I go straight through him and then hit the person to his left...
Seriously the only piercing weapons that cleave works well with RP wise are Sythe and Picks.

Hey guys, good news/bad news time. I recently joined the Army, and will be leaving for basic training in two weeks. From 09/19, I won't have internet for, at a minimum, 10 weeks (after Basic, I got to training in my specific job, which is another 16 weeks. I think I'll have internet access at that time, but I'm not 100% certain). While I'd be happy to just go on hiatus for a while and then pop back up later, if you'd rather drop me and find a replacement, I fully understand.
