Mojo Sniffagem |
Muttering goblin curses under his breath and annoyed at the sheer stupidity of the world and the fates for what happened he tries again.
Mojo has a trait which allows him one reroll once per day on a skill check.
"Master Agrammere, cannee give us a bit of you god luck? It be trapped well an' truly tighter than a gnome's purse!"
He runs back to Agrammar and ducks his head begging for a bit of luck. Then hugging the wall again he runs to the locked cabinet and begins again.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 16 + 1 = 19
Crestfallen he kicks the cabinet's base.
Myrick of Muir |
Myrick assumes he cannot catch the disease.
"Let me help you. I am free of that demonic corruption."
brvheart |
If Mojo could manage to roll higher than a 2. I see the bad rolls are continuing this weekend.:(
Sorek |
I forget what are the options on a failed DD? just keep trying and hope that you don't roll 5 or more under and set it off?
Mojo Sniffagem |
The tantrum over in a moment of goblinoid pique then turns sheepishly back to the party and gives a weak smile.
"Dat better. You not so god god, Aggrammere. This time is the one."
Fishing among his roll of picks, the goblin pulls out a little used shiny one with a small hook on each wing of the top. Dis one never downs me, Maginnis would be slapping my head be now.
Here goes...
Disable Device: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
There is a noticeable click loud and clear. With shoulders slumped at his apparent lack of skill, the goblin gradually turns away.
"It be done"
Sorek |
"Great job Mojo! Sometimes we just have to keep trying and hope the thing doesn't blow up in our face right?"
Sorek examines the scrolls to make sure they're not trapped
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
and with those rolls hopefully Mojo examined them as well :)
will one roll cover all of them or do I need to roll 4 times?
If they are not trapped I'll hand them to Lom
Sorek |
ok Sorek hands the scrolls to Lom. hopefully if they are trapped they go off in Sorek's hands instead of in Loms
"Anything useful Lom?"
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Lomyldyr nods to goblin, "Well done Mojo"
He then accepts the scrolls from Sorek and studies them for several minutes. "Let's see what we have here."
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26; red scroll
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Mojo Sniffagem |
He kisses the lucky lockpick and carefully puts it away in his set. "Tanks, tanks, tanks" says the puppy-dog goblin but he shrugs at the scrolls. Not his thing, but he willingly brings them out to Sorek and Lom.
"What be dem papers?"
Where be dem cool shinies and trinkies dat I be toll be lying like piles of dung everyone. Hmph.

Sorek, you keeping a tally on loot? :D
Huh brvheart - I see a '(coated in contact poison: see below)' reference :P
Sorek |
healing pots? On the FRESHLY updated loot sheet at the bottom of my profile I've assigned the healing SCROLLS :p to Aggy. Good catch. I'd been slacking
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Lomyldyr attempts to contain his nausea as he hands the scrolls to Aggrammar. "I may need you to cast that cure disease on me."
He eyes the books with appreciation. "These books could be quite valuable to the right buyer."
He jams the books into his backback.

looking at Map...Are we inside room 27? or still in that hallway? From #27 it looks like we can go East and maybe West? If we can go West let's go that way first.
brvheart |
You are in Room 27. There is no exit west, save the portal in the nw corner.
Aggrammar Deepdelver |
Do I need to roll Heal, or we assuming Aggrammar knows Lom is sick?: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Aggrammar picks up the scroll of Remove Disease, as he notices Lomyldyr's state - "Sorry lad, I don't know what I was thinking. Lemme take care of ye" - he finishes, reading the scroll, and letting its power wash over the wizard.
Remove Disease CL check?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
WabbitHuntr |
sorry on phone. Can't see the map right now. Looks like we can go East through what looks like a stream of that infected water or we can go back to the hallway and explore elsewhere. But someone will need to look at the map and direct us

"Don't like cursed river" he mumbles by way of apology.

He then moves to inspect the NW portal.

Room 27 The bas relief looks similar to the one on room 15 and the first one you found. Three zombies appear out of the pool.
Room 26 This room contains three semicircular alcoves, with a stone shelf in each one. Each shelf holds a small statue made of gold: one is a gargoyle, one is a winged horse, and one is a unicorn.

You detect neither trap nor magic although something is odd about the unicorn statue.
Sorek |
ok on the map Sorek is 2 rooms away from the rest of the group. That's definitely something he would not do without good reason. Sorek going into room 26 was with the assumption that the rest of the group was right behind him and Mojo. Sorek isn't going to go traipsing around like some drunk barbarian. He wants his trusty little Goblin trap spotter next to him as they explore. So having said all that. The farthest Sorek would be away from the party at this time would be in the hallway south of room 27.

What can I say Soerk? You decided to check out Room 23 while everyone else was still checking out 27. You are in no danger and can easily rejoin the party in one round.
Mojo Sniffagem |
Round 1
If Lom stays threathening the zombie
The stench of putrid flesh and tang in the air of stagnating water washes over the goblin's sensitive nose. He drops his shortbow and runs round behind the zombie from the mage and stabs his gutting shortsword into the creature's spine.
If Lom moves away then Mojo will move quickly away against the East wall and go full defense, (AC24).
Sorek |
Sorek runs back to the room hearing Mojos yell of "Zombies"
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Finding himself cornered, Lomyldyr will draw his long sword and will fight defensively (AC19).
Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Aggrammar Deepdelver |
"Get'em lads!" - Aggrammar roars.
I am assuming the zombie in front of me eats an AoO, due to me wielding a longspear? If so:
Longspear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Taking back a step to reposition, the dwarf strikes again - "Lets just mop them up, shall we?"

Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
