With an evil hiss, the graveknight succumbs to the overwhelming onslaught by the group. For a moment, it glows with an unholy light until, at last, the armor collapses to the ground.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
"Destroy the armor. And nobody even TRY to put it on unless you feel like exploding and resurrecting this guy sounds like a good idea. Seen it before, it's a gruesome way to go."
| Cathryn Dayshaun |
"I agree, this armor needs to be disposed of.
So anyone know a safe way to destroy it. Would a Dispel work, smashing it with a weapon, or something else?
Breaking magic items is, something that I have, surprisingly not done much. Killed a minor Lich once, but he wasn't such a smart guy for one who spent so much time to put his soul into a container. Ended up passing his Phylactery over to a local Temple for them to deal with it."
Cathryn waits with a patient look of fiery doom as she gazes upon the armor.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
"Depends on the armor. There's a specific spell that can sanctify it. Or we could just toss it into a volcano or leave it on the Positive Energy Plane or something."
| Amarilis Whitewolf |
"Yeah... I think it is not that simple... I indeed have destroyed a couple things... items I want to mean... but I think this is not a simple armor, is it? Some magical items or artifacts have a special way to destroy them... at least this is what I heard..."
| Cha`Tima Achak |
"Just smashing it doesn't work. If it worked that way I would have just said "Crush it" instead of "Teleport it to another plane of existence." Tima says, mildly annoyed.
WhtKnt
|
There is nothing left of the body, but the armor is intact, as is the weapon it carried; a greatsword. The knight also wore a fine black cloak, an amulet, and a gold ring. There is little else here of interest.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
I'm somewhat peeved our only full caster bailed since it feels like such a waste to use Gate on this.
"Grab the armor and let's go. We can keep the Graveknight pacified for days if need be when we're done here and can drop it elsewhere."
| Cathryn Dayshaun |
Lol, rather amusing that we are so low on magical might. At least UMD "is" a thing.
Cathryn nods in agreement
"Let us not noddle, there are more important things to be done than dealing with this armor for the moment."

There is another door in the righthand wall of this large room. The near side of the chamber is empty, but many objects are piled on the floor and against the wall on the other side.
Small mountains of gold coins are heaped across the floor. Brilliant gems gleam from these piles. Swords, shields, several long staffs, and shirts of plate armor can be seen. The piles are so high that there is no telling what might lie under the surface.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
Tima closely inspects the piles with his mind's eye and real eye, searching for illusions or traps.
Illusions within 30 feet should be visible as fake.
Perception: 1d20 + 37 ⇒ (5) + 37 = 42
WhtKnt
|
You would notice two things that are out of place within the room.
First, there is an invisible net on the ceiling. It looks as though it is designed to fall on anyone and everyone entering the room.
Second, the room itself detects as magical (transmutation). Not just the objects in the room (several of which are magical), but the area of the room itself.
Warlord, through his true seeing, can also tell you that several of the gems are fakes.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
Tima enters Phantom Sun Stance and fires some phantom arrows at the net moorings.
Do I need an attack roll? Inanimate objects are usually like AC 5.
WhtKnt
|
Nah, you can bring it down pretty easily.
The net drops to the floor, covering the entirety of the room. Had you been beneath it, you would surely have been entangled. Closer inspection shows many tiny hooks embedded in the net.
| Cha`Tima Achak |
"It's not so much the traps I'm worried about is the treasure being somehow cursed or fake, wasting our time. Better to check it when we have more time to spare."
WhtKnt
|
Am I to assume that you are headed to the door across the room or back out into the hallway?
WhtKnt

The room beyond the door is cloaked in blackness. From within, you can hear a whooshing sound that occurs with regularity.

Free action to end Bloodrage. Free action to begin second Bloodrage, applying Dimensional Blade to myself using Mighty Bloodrage. Designating blur and haste on myself as my bloodline effects. Doppel lands a withering hail of blows on the demon, hacking off chunks of flesh with each strike while his greatsword jumps in his hand as it hungrily tears away at its favored victim. Further blasts of arcane energy erupt, buffeting the snake woman in their wake.
Each hit that lands against the Balor gives it a -2 save again spells and SLAs for 1 round thanks to Riving Strike. The snake-like woman takes 25 points of slashing damage due to my Gloves of Arcane Striking.
As his final strike lands Doppel throws his arms wide, inviting retaliation. "Show me what passes for fury among your misbegotten kind!" he shouts in his deep, monotone voice.
Activating Come and Get Me, enemies receive a +4 to attack and damage rolls against me. If they attack me using that bonus I receive an AoO against them.

| Amarilis Whitewolf |
"Crap! I can't see a damn thing! Any one of you can get rid of this?"
Amarilis focuses her rage. She then assumes a stance, one that should make her more focused in combat.
"Come Cathryn, lets face these cursed creatures together!"
Entering Greater Rage as a free action and designating Cathryn as her Chosen Ally (if she remains adjacent to Amarilis she gets Improved Uncanny Dodge and might get +3 AC and Ref). Entering Accurate Stance as a move action.

Darkvision here.
"It would be my pleasure, Amarilis, follow me, I will lead us into the fight. There are two demons and the Witch-King!"
Cathryn bleeds righteous power to the Warlord, Amirilis, and herself, Activating Powerful Justice as a free action, burning a use of smite before unleashing that might upon the Marilith Swift Action to Weak Smite it..
Cathryn will then move up, through the blade barrier, and through the Marilith's space. Definitely provoking. Also I have SR 26 vs Blade Barrier and other spells, and so does anyone within 10 feet of me.
She initiates a powerful strike against the Marilith while generating an opening for Amirilith to move up to it.Initiating Strategic Blow as a Standard Action, allowing Amarilis to move. (see below)
Strategic Blow with MPA: 1d20 + 36 - 6 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 36 - 6 + 1 + 5 = 48

At 11th level, an oathbound paladin may spends one use of her smite evil ability to grant her allies within 10 feet the ability to smite evil, except they only gain the paladin’s bonus to damage, not her smite’s attack bonus or ability to bypass DR.
So: +28 (+56 for first attack against the Evil Outsiders) to damage.
+10 Deflection bonus to AC
With a tremendous strike, the disciple confuses the enemy and creates an opening for an ally to reposition himself. The initiator makes a melee attack inflicting an additional 8d6 points of damage; additionally an ally within 10-ft. of the initiator that he chooses may immediately make a move action as if i t were a free action taken on the initiator's turn.
Against the Marilith my AC is 49, against the Balor it's 42, against Witch-King it's 39. Those aren't counting Amirilis's bonuses.
I also have Blur (20% Miss chance) and 50% Crit Negation (Moderate Fortification).

Reflex vs Blade Barrier: 1d20 + 26 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 26 + 4 + 3 = 47 I also have Evasion

Tima just pumps arrows into Zhengyi from point blank range.
Attack 1 (Manyshot): 1d20 + 30 + 4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 30 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 49
Damage: 1d8 + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 34
Attack 2 (Rapid Shot): 1d20 + 30 + 4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 30 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 43
Damage: 1d8 + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 33
Attack 5 (Iterative 1): 1d20 + 25 + 4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 25 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 35
Damage: 1d8 + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 33
Attack 6 (Iterative 2): 1d20 + 20 + 4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 20 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 16 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 34
Holy shitty dice Batman
Well anyway as always the +5 is Fire damage. Tell me if Zhengyi resists it. BTW if he tries to teleport away he needs to make a Caster Level check opposed to my own Initiator Level check, rolled below:
IL Check: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35
So, DC 35 CL check to cast any teleportation effect due to my ghostly presence anchoring him to this plane.
