"You're city is ours, human! I don't care if you're of Io!" the Queen said. "storm the villages, Rape the men, take the women, and sell the children into slavery! Tiryns is mine!"

She lifts her lance and the gnolls yell and go forward. Some armed with clubs, and some armed with slings. Others carry a makeshift wooden shield made of tough, oak bark.

Did I hit the gnoll? Also, if noone saw me which would be a miracle with my low stealth, I will spend a full round to load my crossbow and then spend a round to fire it, 2 rounds hopefully they don't get near me in that time which will change my action or force me into combat. Trying to kill as much as possible before I'm forced into combat.

hit: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (7) = 9
damage: 1d10 ⇒ 1
stealth: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (17) = 19

Female Aasimar Sorcerer (Wildblooded) 1 | HP: 8 | AC: 12, T: 12, FF: 10 | Fort: +2, Ref: +2, Will: +3 | CMB: +0, CMD: 12 | Init: +8 , Perception: +4 |

Myrrine blinked slightly. Well, her magic wasn't exactly long-range (not that she'd talk about it that way to any mere mortals), so she contented herself with watching as the Gnolls got closer. After all, there wasn't much else for her to do.

M Plumekith Aasimar (Scion of Humanity) Monk (Greco-Roman Athlete) 1 | HP10/10 | AC16 T16 F13 CMD18+ | F+4 R+5 W+5 | 30' | Init+3 | Perc+3

The athlete scans the area, looking for a path he might be able to use to avoid the charge and potentially gain an advantage over the attackers. "Somehow I thought you would say that."

Seeing a low rooftop over a door into a building on his left, Lycaneus takes a running leap up towards that rooftop, skitters across it, and flips down onto the ground behind the charging gnolls.

Acrobatics running jump (vertical) w/ increased run multiplier: 1d20 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 4 = 21 5' vertical? <frownie face>

Acrobatics balance on the rooftop: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Acrobatics reduce drop by 10': 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

So, there is the potential that a double move would end with him scrambling up onto the roof and not getting past it, with him falling and just moving under it instead (and trying not to get stabbed as he goes), or that 5' is enough and he actually does what I had envisioned. Which path is what actually happens would be a Gm call, I believe . . ..

Come on guys/gals, we can't let this town get overrun.

The gnolls continue, with the queen looking on proudly.

I assume they have not reached Draco yet, so Draco will fire off another shot from 2nd floor and I assume I only hit once so far out of 2 shots. stealth: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (10) = 12 if not seen the attack is versus touch.
crossbowattack: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (5) = 7 really does the dice have to screw me, that is like 1 hit out of 3 while firing from 2nd story window.
damage: 1d10 ⇒ 9
Draco will then reload his crossbow, he is going to keep shooting until they come up to the 2nd floor of the building he is in or until one fires back with range.

IT's a miss. :)

Somehow I keep saying attack is versus touch, when it is really versus flatfooted if unseen. DM, do they know where I'm at by now, you do you want me to continue to roll stealth checks to stay hidden on the 2nd floor? I haven't got a notice they came up to 2nd floor yet or tried to snipe back.
stealth: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (9) = 11 if successful it is versus flatfooted since they can't react.
crossbowattack: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (18) = 20 holy crap a hit, 2 out of 4. Now I will get screwed with damage.
damage: 1d10 ⇒ 9 Holy crap Draco couldn't believe how good he was doing now.
And he reloads his crossbow. Others playing this?, you could say you do nothing but watch Draco shoot

Myrrine calmly continued to watch the violence, rather enjoying what she saw. This was their dispute, after all, and she was more than happy to settle down and let them handle it on their own.

Myrrine, I'm in panic, what should I do if I want to live? I keep shooting hoping I can snipe them all, but that is a long shot? Should I hide, surrender, play dead?

"Why would you want to live? Go out like a hero and head to the Elysium Fields before you have a chance to spoil it." the Daughter of Hades suggested. She... probably wasn't the best person to talk to if you were interested in staying alive. Now, death she could help with, but not so much the avoiding it bit. She knew Thanatos, and was quite aware of how difficult it could be to escape his tough.

Well, more importantly I want to save the town, it's more of an, I want to live to help others, and if I die, I can't save the town. Also, what is the Elysium Fields? Can you point in the direction of it?

*scratches head*

You have knowledge (religion) right? You can do a knowledge check to remember, right?

don't have knowledg religion and I was hoping Myrinne would tell me

I believe you can still make a check for basic knowledge, even without training - DC 10 or less. This SHOULD be common knowledge, so...

Dark Archive

Male Human Cleric 3: Spd:25, AC:19, HP:26/32, Fort:7, Ref:6, Will:11, Perc:9

Grr, Myrrine won't tell me
basic knowledge: 1 + 1d20 ⇒ 1 + (14) = 15

Silver Crusade

is that a natural 1?

Sorry, but you come up with a totally different idea about paradise. You don't think heroes go to the Elysian fields, you think common people do.

modifier is 1, roll is 14, does that change anything?

Draco will ask a random NPC who is not a gnoll to hold his crossbow for him. diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
He makes a perception check to see what is going on or what he noticesperception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
If successful on making the NPC hold the crossbow Draco will alert the Gnolls and make a Bluff check. He did it, he is the one you want, take him and he is killing your women. Take him and leave the town in peace please. bluff: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (7) = 9
Draco is trying to pin the blame on someone else.
diplomacy: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (6) = 8 on the gnolls to see if they leave the town in peace. Draco will reclaim his crossbow one way or the another.
Why on Earth am I NG, I should probably be Neutral

Choatic evil more likely.

Okay and what do I know about Elysian fields? I don't do my research, I only know about Hercules only from the show.
And what happens from my actions.
I don't consider Draco evil, because he is trying to save the town and his own skin, even at the cost of others.

Unless you are waiting for another PC to respond to my actions.

Actually I think Draco was spotted long ago. Sniping If you've already successfully used Stealth at least 10 feet from your target, you can make one ranged attack and then immediately use Stealth again. You take a –20 penalty on your Stealth check to maintain your obscured location. But there were busy, so they may take a massive penalty to their perception, plus even if spotted they might not have able to accuratley ID Draco as they didn't see him up close and they probably saw him while moving.

Yes, actually. Plus, I need 5 more days off Gming for a little while. :) Gotta new job, and I'm concentrating on it for five days.

Draco smiles with his clean getaway.
