*shrug* You're welcome to try to find a Bracelet of Friends, but can you afford one after all the other stuff you guys just bought? I think you've spent over 30,000gp so far assuming you, Karthan, and Kelne all got the items you said you wanted, plus Karthan just went on a supplementary trip. If you had like 55k to begin with, a Bracelet starts at a bit over 19gp for a full one, and there will be a markup in this city, so...
So I guess I'm saying, first make sure you have the gp for it. Then make sure you have the time. From the Wolfguard's departure you had an hour, Jorzan and Karthan already used a chunk of time (I'll be really nice and say 20 minutes) to get aid and more stuff, respectively, and you still have to make it to the far north side of the city, then out of the city, to a location none of you has ever been before and don't know how far away it is or what it looks like. Unless of course you decide to go to the city/castle.
And, if you have answers to both of those things, I'm still not really sure why you think the Bracelet would make things easier for you.
>:-D

You might have missed this post here but as it indicates in the description of the friend bracelet, if we can find one with just one tab, it's only 4,750gp and Cassandra could immediately summon Kevin to us immediately.
As we still haven't finished making our plans yet, I had thought Karthan would be waiting until we for sure knew what we wanted before he went out shopping again. I know our convo has taken some time PBP-wise but should only have taken a few minutes game time I think. And then Jorzan's jaunt to the Dwarves could have been timed with Karthan's shopping spree. But if this timing doesn't work for you, no worries.

Nope. I saw it. Let's just say you're making an awful lot of assumptions, there. But that's okay! You can do whatever you want with the money and time you have remaining. I'm just waiting for you all to agree on a plan.
:-)
C'mon, everyone! Help out Jorzan and Kelne! RP it up! They're doing all the work right now!

@DRA: Will the spell Abundant Ammunition (lvl1 spell from Ultimate Combat) work on Enhathladi ammo?
Also i saw a post saying something about Gray's new wand but i cant seem to find what it is? Am i not reading far enough back?
Here's some spells i'm thinking about getting ready let me know what you think of them.
lvl2 :Protection from Evil, Communal
lvl3: Daybreak Arrow
lvl4: Blessing of Fervor OR Holy Smite.
Kelne
@ DRA: Passing on any additional details Kelne ought to know are fine, bearing in mind also that he's been quietly keeping tabs on what he can during his exile. That would certainly include the palace's geographic location and surroundings. I've been assuming the place isn't within quick riding distance. I'm also figuring Ormir didn't let many of his subjects into his true inner sanctum unless they were sworn into the Wolfguard, but the city's obviously fair game.
Jorzan also gets Kelne's remaining arrows:
Flamestrikes: 2 tier 1, 2 tier 2, 1 tier 3.
5 puncturing
4 razortusks
1 backbarb

No, it will not.

I think Jorzan said that. Maybe he thought you were purchasing one.

Okay, cool. I'd been having similar thoughts re: what you'd know about the castle. The city (which I've mentally been calling Ormiria) is on the coast, a couple hundred miles almost straight west of Olmskodsv, up in the northwest of the Land. Just find Olmskodsv at the tip of the lake up there, then go like WSW to the coast, the Baron is around there.
Kelne would know that the castle is right on the coast, on a butte looking out over the ocean, and has many deep catacombs and dungeons and many high towers. There is no moat, but a town -- Ormiria -- surrounds the palace on all sides and is filled with a thousand or so people, many of whom are thralls or chattel. The surrounding countryside is cold tundra, there is no agriculture in the Forgelands. Frost giants, immoths, dire bears, white tigers, dire wolves, were-creatures, snow-worms, and of course white dragons are all possible threats outside the city.

Awesome DRA, thanks. Also, what time of day is it right now?
lvl2 :Protection from Evil, Communal Good spell, but think we would be much better served by your using the wand. Would free up a slot for maybe Concecrate?
lvl3: Daybreak Arrow Awesome spell choice! But again, think served better by a scroll, maybe Invisibility Purge instead?
lvl4: Blessing of Fervor OR Holy Smite. [ooc]Very cool looking spell, Blessing of Fervor, but after some thought, I think Haste is still a better bet overall. Holy Smite is great for some area damage on undead, but has a save and SR. The only other one I might suggest is Planar Ally lessor. Any of those three would be good IMHO)
And OK, I just posted an entirely New plan in the IC and I think it's a much better one. But anyone please feel free to completely disagree.
Based on that plan though, this is what I think we will need (and what Karthan was hopefully able to Already buy)
Wand Hide from Undead 375 To Gray
Wand of Protection from Evil 750 To Gray
Wand of Invisibility 750 To Karthan or Boy
Scroll of Greater Teleport x3 6,825 To Karthan, Boy and Kelne? (to get (In)
(15 people total=7 of us plus 8 Dwarves...or one more scroll for Jorzan if more Dwarves wanna come)
Scroll of Teleport x3 (or 4) 2,100 (To get Out)
Scroll of Searing Light x2 750 To Gray & Karthan?
Scroll of Scrying Greater x2 2,275 (standard action!) To Karthan or Boy
Scrying Mirror 1000 Ditto
Scroll of Daybreak arrow x2 750 To Gray
Scroll of Alter Self 150 To Karthan or Boy
20 vials of Holy Water 500
20 Buds of Garlic 2
20 Wooden Stakes 0
TOTAL= 16,227 (plus Markup?)
Jorzan
As for Enhathladi Arrows, at the moment Jorzan will only take 4 smokeburst arrows, two sleep DC17 and two sleep DC23.
Total=1,120gp
PLAN Addition:
-Can all sneak invisibly out of inn from Tanel's room using his magic rope.
Kelne
You know, I'd completely missed that greater scrying has a one round casting time. I certainly endorse this as a better plan, with a note that there's a major weakness in that we're assuming scrying will work for locating Kevin, and should discuss whether we go with a variant on the original plan if it doesn't work.
With a casting time of one round, the casters aren't tied to one location for an hour, so there's a good deal more flexibility.

You are completely correct in that we may not be able to find Kevin by scrying. So perhaps we can just teleport into the castle and look for him as best we can.
An alternate plan is we sneak downstairs, invisible perhaps, and kill (or knock out, put to sleep)the wolfguard there except for one or two and kidnap and question them. Or perhaps a telepathy/mind reading spell to try and get Kevin's location out of them? Maybe when everyone is sneaking out Cassandra The Boy, Kelne and Justhal can try using Seek Thoughts.
If Kelne & Justhal do the talking while The Boy is seeking their thoughts they shouldn't have any way to detect what he is doing (as he's not in the conversation..if I'm understanding the way this works correctly)
Jorzan
@Feral Boy:Really?? Well, hopefully this will be your first one! It's gets mighty fun for you casters once you really start coming into your own and can start slinging world shaking spells around ;) I hadn't known certain spells were lower for Summoners either but came across it when I was investigating and trying to figure out what the best way out of (and into ; )this mess was. BTW, Are you up for the part of the plan that involves Feral Boy using Seek Thoughts on the Wolfguard to try and locate Kevin? If the scrying doesn't work that is?
@Kelne & Justhal: You guys also up for scoping out the Wolfguard if necessary? And the rest of the plan is cool?
@Gray & Karthan: It work for you guys Gray & Trista trying to sneak Cassandra out with Karthan & Jorzan as back up?
@DRA: Just to keep things moving, why don't we give it until tonight to see if everyone approves of the plan as it stands now and if there are no dissenters, we go ahead?

Can I get a general attendance count for everyone's availability this weekend? I myself don't do anything special for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the USA and am planning on posting a fair bit UNLESS no one else is gonna be available in which case I'll back off.
So; who's gonna be around and online?
Gray Moribund
i really wont be around. tho i can check posts on my phone. Starting tonight going to sunday night, ill be pretty dang busy.
@ALL: sorry i havnt posted much but life has me wrapped up right now.
@DRA: feel free to have gray do what he needs to do.

Great post, Jorzan! Love the way you brought the shadow in, with yourself being staggered and all that. I wish the guard had been intimidated but his fear of the Baron is greater than any other fear. He's seen what the Baron does to failures and can't imagine you could do worse.
He's...not very bright. ;-)
Anyway, I'm sure you guys will figure a way out of this one way or the other. You're capital-H Heroes!

Seriously can't wait!! I am sure an Epic meeting it shall be! Wonder what the reaction will be like between the ink tattoo'd Aellar and someone who (perhaps?) looks exactly like the person who had been torturing them all these years....; D
Sir Damian Lamorak
FYI, in expectation of the groups meeting, I added the following bit of backstory.
After Captain Harrix puts forth the idea about the northbound warriors, Damian nods in agreement. "Sir Justahl! I have not seen him in years, since the last jousting tourney prior to the War. I unhorsed him, but his immediate response was genuine congratulations. When I was unhorsed in the next round, he was there to help me back on my feet. He is truly a fine man, blessed by the Inheritor in ways that I can only imagine. His reputation does little to describe the man in person. It is an excellent idea to find him, as is Min's idea to seek out what happened to Pike. I greatly look forward to seeing Sir Justahl again, and any group that he is part of will be fulfilling Iomedae's will."
Jorzan
Ya, that was an awesome bit of tie-in Damian! Now looking forward to seeing you and Justhal meet up too. And damn! Imagine you two charging a dragon (or other similarily nasty creature) together! Utter Devestation!

It's a pity that the gnome isn't still part of the Skyknights.
Imagine the crossbow geekery discussion he and Karthan would've had. :)
Well, while she isn't a famous professor Gnome, there is still a booksmart, professor Sylph around, who also wields a (now pretty fine!) crossbow who may just have some nifty crossbow bolts to show and perhaps even trade with a certain half-orc ; )
