Two pieces of paper slide out of the tube, one yellowed with age and the other looking a little newer.
The tiefling unfurls the newer piece of paper. "Instructions, probably."
She tucks the other paper back in the scroll case before reading the one in her hand.
"These are the last copy of the mantras needed to activate the Elder Sign, the one true way to banish a Great Old One. The mantras must be recited within sight of a Great Old One, putting the reciter at great risk. Fortify your mind and your body, lest you perish in a horrifying way. If successful, the Elder Sign will burst into flame and be erased from existence."
"Fun," Sienna says. "So one of us is going to have to go up to Cthulhu and read him his bedtime story."
She returns the instructions to the scroll case, closes it up and hands it to Sadhana. "I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Why don't you hold onto that? Let's tell the other Arista we're done here and try and find Tichran before he makes more work for us."
"Sounds like a plan!" Sadhana says, taking the scroll case and storing it safely, before looking over the room.
Roshan nods and searches the room with Sadhana to make sure they didn't miss anything.
Nothing, aside from the fext's gear, remains in this room.
Pointing out the gear he says, "Unles you guys think you can use any of that stuff, it would probably be best if we got out of here now and back to the other so we can continue your mission, and maybe I'll find more of my answers along the way."
Sienna shrugs. "Not really my type of stuff."
Roshan nods and heads back to where they entered from, "I don't need any of that stuff either. We should be getting back now." Roshan heads for the door.
"I'd rather not leave stuff like this laying around where someone less trustworthy can find it, leaving more problems for...the other Arista. Might as well gather it and let her know the danger down here is cleared. We can find someone who can use it later." Sadhana says after considering for a bit.
Roshan shrugs, "Sure, I have a bag that can hold all that stuff. Better safe than sorry I guess." He says, going over to the equipment left behind and putting it in his bag.
After collecting everything he walks back over to the door, "Alright, that takes care of that. I'm ready to go whenever you guys are."
"Lead on," Sienna says to Roshan. "I guess we're supposed to lock up on our way back."
Roshan nods, "Yeah, I'll take care of it as we leave."
As they head back out, Roshan locks up behind them before heading back to Ms. Arista's house.
As you leave the ruined church, you see five mounted figures in the distance.
"Hmph...well, looks like we might have some company. I wonder what they want, or who they are."

"Usually, if they just show up like that, they want what we just got and it doesn't really matter who they are," Sienna remarks.
"So, bad guys then. Got it. We should probably let Arista know about her guests." He says, quickening his pace to the Aasimar's house.
The horses' heads track the vishkanya's movements for a moment before the riders turn their steeds to the east and take off.
Sienna watches as the riders depart. "Hm, that'll probably be a problem for later."
"Oh yeah, that wasn't ominous at all." He sort of sighs, "Well, we'll deal with it later then."
"Definitely! Five riders...added to the list." Sādhanā quips as they make their way back to the house.
Arista opens the door for Roshan, Sadhana and the others. "I assume it all went well."
Roshan nods, "Except for some riders we saw headed this way for a bit, but they turned back around the other way. Sadhana said we'd add them to the list of things that have to be dealt with."
Thinking for a moment on the riders behavior, he looks from Arista to the Magus, "From the way they reacted to seeing us, and the way they just took off...they're probably just scouts. I'm pretty sure they're going for back-up."
"But yes, the ancient guardian has been taken care of, and there shouldn't be any undead left down there now." Sadhana adds.
"The riders appeared when the man who brought that misfortune to our town," Arista says. "I doubt they still have any interest in this place, if you found what he was hiding. With the undead gone, perhaps we can rebuild this town."
"If they come back, Frostine and I will be here to defend this town," Thorgr says.
"Don't scout usually try and not get caught?" Cyna asks.
Sienna turns to Cyna. "You're saying that they wanted to be seen?"
Roshan kind of shrugs, "Sorry, just trying to understand why they would show up in just such small numbers and then just take off like that....but, I guess there's no need to really worry about it until it becomes an issue."
Nodding she takes her husband's hand, "Yeah, we can always help them...chill out." She says with a snicker, followed by a small yawn.
Rosa just sits quietly and listens, wondering what Dagmarr would want to do now. What they would all do.
"Unless their goal was to draw attention, to act as a lure." Sadhana muses.
Dagmarr looks at Rosa, as the others discuss the riders, and thoughts of staying there. "What would you like to do my love."
Rosa thinks for a moment as she looks lovingly up at Dagmarr, "Well, that other town seemed nice....but, there were a lot of other people there too. I wouldn't mind staying here if Ms. Arista doesn't mind us being here. You are my home, so I'm happy wherever we are together."
"I think the best thing to do is to ignore them for now and go after the guy who is more likely to be a serious threat if we don't stop him," Sienna says. "Tichran is a Necromancer...these rider guys aren't."
Roshan nods, "Right, so where to now?"
"The Fissure," Sienna says. "Do you know where it is, Arista?"
"About two hours northeast of here, if you fly," Arista answers. "Slower if you're walking."
Sienna sighs. "Now I wish Tesia was here."
Sienna looks around at the others. "Well? What should we do?"
"Well, I don't really have a way of flying, sooo...unless someone else has a way of getting us there faster, I guess we better start walking."
"I guess we're doing this the old fashioned way." Cyna says.
"Then we better put feet to ground, if you know what I mean," Sienna says. She gives a nod to Arista, Frostine and the rest. "Thanks for having us over."
She heads out the door and waits for the others.
"Thank you for your hospitality Arista, I hope things improve a bit around here for you." Sadhana says, gripping the other woman's hand in a warrior's handshake.
"Farewell all of you." She says before heading outside.
Sienna turns to the group. "So which way is northeast?"
Following the others outside, Roshan shrugs and looks over at the ranger.
"It's that way." Cyna answers.
