She grunts as the stinger punctures her armor, growling angrily at the poison seeping from the wound and refuses to shudder as the dread falls over her again. "ENOUGH!" Her shout dispels the dread, the poison doesn't take hold and her eyes glow a blood read as her anger continues to keep her on her feet. I won't be defeated! I will not RUN! With that on her mind she fought doggedly on. Pressing her free hand to her injuries and healing them only slightly this time.

Feeling more of the poison, Sunset cast burning hands at her mite and green knight ant. Both fail taking the full burst of fire.
Resisting both the doom and poison Seraph, heals more of her wounds as she strikes the Blue Knight Ant hitting it hard and dropping it.
Torod shrugs off the doom and fires his arrows at the green knight ant, just missing with both. His earth elemental don’t miss the purple ant and does drop it with the powerful slam.
The weakened Strawberry bites and claws at the green knight ant hitting it twice.
Asta’s elementals move and attack the green knight hitting it twice and black mite once with slams. The Queen then vomits another spider swarm and sends it to attack the green knight.
The mite’s doom fails to affect Justinian as he channels more healing power from Iomedae selectively avoiding the two knight ants and the freshly downed purple ant, Unfortunately it does heals the two downed mites.
The Green knight fights on attacking Seraph, but misses with both bite and sting.
The mites cast doom on the hero's again.
The two prone mites fight with total defence.

The doom casting though had instilled doubt, little by little her mind wondered. Was this a diversion?

She easily blocked and sidestepped the blows from the Mite Kings vermin mount. She however only saw her failure from weeks before, the boy dying horrifically. Insects all over his body. She raged internally, her face twisted into a horrible snarl as she faced the source of her loathing.
This close Seraph was able to complete her personalmission, with a two handed grip she raised her large blade. "Your kingdom shall never e..." She was cut off as he was killed and in anger she put all her might behind the blow as she aimed to take down the last vermin Her fury was at its highest point, her eyes glowing blood red as she brought the blade down with everything she had. Intent on finishing this as quickly as possible.

The combined wounds from Torod's arrows and Seraph's sword are enough to bring down Tickleback a giant tick that was the last vestigial of the mite's army.
Looking around you find the mite's warchest full loot gained from their rampaging army and their own resources.
Combat over
Seraph_
Seraph stands there like a statue, blade dripping and her muscles rigid and her anger still raging. The treasure wasn't lost on her, she dug through the Mite Kings items themselves first. Looking for something to give the family whose child died. Something that would prove the deed was done. "Next are the patrols. We wipe them out, to the last mite."
If the Mite king has nothing distinctly his then she takes his corpse.
She only inspects the loot chest after securing the kings corpse.
Asta Blackheart
Asta glides over to Grubble's corpse and - provided Seraph allows her to - unceremoniously slings it over her shoulder. If the Mite King wore a crown, she takes it off and slips it onto her arm as a nracelet.
"How much is there?" she asks.
Justinian Doran
Justinian follows Torod, after casting a restorative on Strawberry.
LR: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Watching the others looting bodies and chests, he shakes his head. '...priorities...' he thinks to himself as helps verify their enemies are dead.
Torod
Once they are sure that all the mites and ants are dead, Torod and Strawberry begin investigating more of the complex to make sure all is safe.
(Torod can cast Light and Strawberry has Darkvision.)
Seraph_
Seraph turns to the Queen when she gets close, embracing her tightly before releasing her, hands still on Asta's shoulders as Seraph looked her directly in the eyes. "Don't ever scare me like that again." Her words were stern, barely above a harsh whisper and for good reason, her mind was still reeling at the thought of losing Asta still. They got lucky and that frightened her more then the ants ever did.
From there she released Asta, moving so she could start working on the King. She gives her whatever she asks for leaving her to take what she needed from the fallen fool king. Instead Seraph focused on gathering up the mites equipment, more to sell, more to repay the loss to the families that suffered in the war. At Asta's question her response was distant. "Probably not enough, Milady." She clicks her tongue as they checked the dead. A useless effort, if they weren't dead they still be fighting. Her anger was simmering, the glowing of her eyes in the darkness an indicator. She pulls the remaining Alchemist Vials from her pack, not even caring at the personal cost, only that the mission was a partial success. She didn't verify what was in the loot chest, only that they moved on quickly.
"Replenish your fire, I'll carry this so we can sort it lat-" She pauses when Torod goes further into the mine. "Ensuring the mine is clear comes first then." She hefts the heavier bag and moves next to Asta. "Whenever you're ready Milady, Sunset stay close and please don't get in front of me this time. I couldn't stand it if you too get bruised any more then you already are." Her anger flared, she was furious how things almost turned out. She didn't know what she would have done if she had failed them. It was her job to get hurt, to be broken, her duty.
5 Alchemist potions left, distribute amongst yourselves.

You find the gold mine is now clear of both mites and vermin. You do locate two more pit traps in the main room but no one falls for them.
There are still the few random patrols of Ant's and Mites, but without the king mite they are likely to flee the area.
The mite king has a small silver head band that he used as a crown, it has no magic aura.
Looking through the war chest you find the following items.

It is late in the day, your group has been travailing for more than 10 hours and then battling the mite forces for what feels like hours, but in truth was only a hand full of minutes.
The party is tired, but in good shape for the most part except to the weakened conditions of Sunset and Strawberry.
Sunset: 10 STR damage
Strawberry: 8-4=8 STR damage;
Seraph_
Yowza!
Seraph was glad the mine finally clear, she quickly cleans her blade before sheathing it.
"Let's return to town. I will gather our forces and deal with the remaining mite patrols." She was relentless in her drive to wipe them out, they had announced their new Queen after all. There was no choice but to bury them.
Sunset,
Sunset does her best to help out and keep up.
Asta Blackheart
"Hold up," Asta says as she sorts through the scrolls.
"I think we should make a division. This one, Effortless armour, is good for both Clerics and Paladins. Justinian, Seraph, you two should probably talk this through.
This one, Ant Haul, is usable for Druids, Alchemists and Wizards. Sunset, if you could scribe this into your book, and maybe make a copy for Torod, I'm sure you can both find uses for it.
"Now this one, Command.... I'd like to take this one. Croft, you're getting a cup of wine when we get back to the castle.
Now, my Knight .... We do need to keep in mind the greater Fey of the region. Also, what about Crackjaw, the Mite Druid?"
Sunset,
Gon'a be fun findin' that lil bugger in'a woods an' wilderness.... (¬_¬)
Seraph_
Seraph turns, looking over the scroll, before she looked at Asta in the dark. Seraph was only concerned with the war at hand, the mites and ending the current threat regardless of what She faced. Her blood was burning for battle, her anger wouldn't allow for anything less then dominating the enemy.
When she spoke her voice was steady but not completely calm, nor argumentative, as she asked. "What is your command?" Asta had unleashed her and as commanded she would make the Mites bleed. If Crackjaw crossed her, she'd cleave him with the rest of his kin.
Seraph_
She nods before she adjusts her metal collar, the chain jangling. She let go of a tensely held breath. Which appears to make her inhuman muscles contract back to normal. Her eyes dim then the natural emerald color returning and gleaming in the darkness.
The stoic look left her face as she quickly tried to rein in her inner demons.
She hefts the loot filled pack across her shoulders and keeps her sword drawn. "We will reassess in the morning then. Good. I'll lead the way, Justinian take up the rear, we are the strongest. Torod, you and strawberry stay in the middle with Asta and Sunset. If anything gets in our way we cut it down."
With that she was ready, though if someone had suggestions she made time before heading out and back to the horses.
Asta Blackheart
"Wait," Asta says.
The Witch reaches up and gently pulls Seraph's head down until it comes to rest against her shoulder. Slowly, the Witch Queen starts to stroke the hair of the White Knight.
"You have done well. So well," Asta says. "And you did no more than you had to. You can be proud of your victories. All of them."

The group moves out of the gold mine back to where you left the horses and a few guards. It's now early evening as you secure the war chest to one of the animals, the group is ready to ride home.
It's been a long day. Are you taking the road directly back to Greenheart, or back they route you came?
Everyone, please make a Con save verses DC14 or take 1d6 ⇒ 5 non-lethal and be fatigued. Going on 10 hours of travail for the day.
Seraph_
She leans into Asta shoulder, her heavy blades tip falling to rest on the floor of the mine. She nodded and said nothing as the anger faded.
When they finally left she presses for the most direct route back to the horses. Being inhumanlu tough meant she could handle the fatigue but the others were not as lucky. Or were still weakened from poison. So straight back to the horses was best in her mind.
Fort save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Perception - watching for ambushes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Croft the Raven
Fort. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
"I'm not scouting ahead," Croft says, sullen, as he slumps on Asta's shoulder. "I'm exhausted. Someone else can fly around and warn you guys about bushwhackers."
Seraph_
I thought with the unrest, recent arrest of Grigori and such it would be a better idea to get home. Heal up and take care of official business. Honestly if the majority want to stay put then Seraph will, but we need to at least recover our horses. Seraph isn't leaving Julius to be eaten. Lol
Justinian Doran
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
"I, for one, won't be travelling all night to get back to the city. It can wait until tomorrow." With that, Justinian begins to make camp at the entrance to the mine, being the most defensible place in the immediate area.
Sunset,
I am... unsure. Am definately for pushing ahead and getting back to the troubles we've left behind A.S.A.P....
Torod
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Strawberry Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
"Justinian, don't forget about the war at home. In the aftermath of that blowhard, our people need to see us with a victory. And to do so quickly makes it all the more impressive and impactful. The Wardens of the Greenbelt are marching through the night to put their people's minds at ease. Come with us. Be one of us."
