You people are very silly.
Anyway... If you want to go the familiar-not-a-familiar route, that's an option. There's even a special npc that already is like that.
He could be taken over by a player, If they were really interested- he's a little vauge and poorly defined, so there's room for flexibility.

Sorry I've been a bit slow.
Got a cold, ate all of my willpower yesterday.
So, anyway....
I intend to have the prologue open to post in this weekend, or sooner.
It'll be mostly to introduce your charecters, what they stand for, and all that sort of thing.

With destined you can pick from about 95% of the the things in the beastiary, and some of the things not in it and he'll find a way for you to have it
A few examples he's told me are fair game and (probably) already has prepped a way for it to happen
Dryad
Revenant
Vampire
Weird leach monster
Dragon/half dragon
Deva
Most outsiders
Example of a thing not allowed
Efreti
Each one comes with a quest of some sort

Yea, just busy few days. I tend to have more time at work than at home.
I'll play a reapling if I may. What is the max RP I can use? (They come in different power levels. I think I made the dragon queen something like 90 points or so, but she is the biggest and most powerful, so not likely playable.)

The RP system is rather inheritly broken.
Just send what you think is cool and balanced, and we'll go from there.
And I'd advise that they showed up and lived here for quiet a while before present day events.
TheAlicornSage
Well, part of asking was going to help determine whether I played a reapling queen, or simply one of the scout/leaders, or perhaps a hero form.
Also, I certainly don't mind having been here awhile. Probably built and maintain the city wall, since self healing, but that's just an idea.
Ninja'd :p

Lol, I could always run two characters. :)
I've been a GM and at one point was in 6 separate weekly games at the same time for a little over a year, so running multiple characters is rather easy.
TheAlicornSage
Not really sure. None of the legends really call to me, nor seem all that appealing.
As for class, thinking arcanist/rogue mix. I've been wanting to try arcanist.
icehawk333
Variant multiclassing is a system he likes, but I have never looked at or approved.
Arcanist is... Hmm. Going to have to look at it.
As far as ledgends go, most of them had Martials in mind when I made them- I Ted to like to encourage Martials.
That said, I can write up something new, if you really don't like any option.
TheAlicornSage
I tend towards electrical spells. In fact, the more common and stereotypical it is, the less likely I'll play it.
Besides, if I played a pyromancer, I'd bring back my first such character, who was a hothead, not only was she a human, but reaplings are generally more detached emotionally, thus a hothead would be rather unlikely.
TheAlicornSage
Ninja'd again.
Arcanist is a step closer to actual vancian casting. You cast like a sorcerer, but pick your spells known list each day via preparation.
Honestly, the rest of the class seems only mildly appealing.
TheAlicornSage
I stay away from martials. My real life self could kick the stuffing out of a lvl 20 fighter (mostly because combat isn't remotely close to real life), so I just can't play them without serious frustration at all the stuff I should be doing, but can't.
Casters aren't real, so I easily side step the frustration by playing them.

Don't even get me started on this.
Hoo boy.
Ill look at arcanist.

Rogue
A character who chooses rogue as her secondary class gains the following secondary class features.
Trapfinding: At 3rd level, she gains the trapfinding class feature.
Sneak Attack: At 7th level, she gains the sneak attack class feature. She can deal 1d6 points of extra damage. This extra damage increases by 1d6 for every 4 levels beyond 7th, to a maximum of 4d6 at 19th level.
Evasion: At 11th level, she gains evasion.
Uncanny Dodge: At 15th level, she gains uncanny dodge.
Improved Uncanny Dodge: At 19th level, she gains improved uncanny dodge, treating her character level as her effective rogue level.
This is in exchange for your fears at level 3, 7, 11 and 15

Really? You can survive a 20 story drop, run at an Olympic level and can accurately shoot someone from
A half a mile away?Look out we got a badass over here

*Pinches nose*
Let's not turn this into a martial vs caster thread.
TheAlicornSage
Indeed. Kinda bypassed what I meant there anyway. I'd be happy to explain what I meant in a pm though, or another thread.

Sorry.
No need to be nervous about telling me anything,
Not sure what you're nervous about
Unless it's the game, like in general
If so that's normal, given the amount of effort you've put into this, you want it to do well and these delays might be scary that given your depression stuff might look like a sign of things to come, but don't worry, it's not.
We're going to have fun exploring this world (or at least the town and surrounding areas) and it'll be great

Pat-pat. Not you.
And frozen bird bones is a reference to my username, silly.

If you're so eager, that's good. Have you even named you charecter, yet?
And if so-
The prologue can start as early as later today.
Note-
You neednt have a full stat block to start e prologue, just a personality and a rough idea of a backstory- the prologue will cover an important part of your backstory publicly.
The prologue will work a little funny, focusing on one person's charecter at a time.
I don't intend to make a habit of this, but I also don't promise there won't be a few times where one player is off doing something wile the rest of the party is having downtime.

Sure thing
Oh and reference image :)
Anthony is a 27 year old human paladin who took an oath against the wyrm as a young teen, wanting to emulate the noble dragon slayers of old.
He recognizes that not all dragons or dragon kin are evil, but, like outsiders and undead, they tend to be more powerfully aligned to whatever they are aligned, so an evil dragon is an espically evil creature, and powerful to boot, and must be destroyed to protect the innocent.
His personality is joyous and free spirited, espically for a paladin. Despite his relatively relaxed nature, he doesn't trust either of the two outsider factions in the region.
correct me if I'm wrong here his holy vision identifies the demons as evil despite their insistence of ethical neutrality, that being said he hasn't seen proof of mliciousness or other significant wrongdoing and has resolved to treet them as any other sentient, capable of choice. But he has resolved to keep a watchful eye on them.
He doesn't think the proteins are malicious persay, or at least not most of them, but he recogonizes them as dangerous to innocents, and should not be allowed to exist in such a concentration on the mortal plane.
In a fight his first tactic is to difuse hostility, whether through diplomacy or intimidation, and to that end has developed a swordsmanship technique that introduces dramatic flourishes to his great sword strikes and blocks, giving the impression of a vast difference in skill between himself and his opponent, shattering their resolve. comudgeon strike
