Wolf1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Wolf2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Also: HOLY CRAP that spell is amazing!
unconscious, blinded, and stunned: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 round(s)
blinded and stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 4 round(s)
stunned: 1 = 1 round(s)
I forgot wolf 3 got one more attack, since he's first in initiative.
Trip: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
The third wolf snaps his jaws at Yukie, and manages to drag her down. Yukie falls in the snow, while her tiger is waiting for the command to take this wolf down!
Meanwhile, the two other wolfies look at Tiasar's color spray, and fall asleep. Their bodies thump down, and they appear to be napping.
| DM Rickmeister |
First: roll a diplomacy please. The goblin does not appear to consider your friendly, especially since you awoke it.
Tiasar = ok
Andre and Jory = State your intents.
Tiasar
|
ya it's one of those spells like sleep. VERY effective at low levels, but has an HD limit so it quickly becomes useless at higher levels. its my 'emergency' spell because of its effects and standard action to cast
Tiasar brushes himself off and gasps as he feels the open wound move. He pulls out his dagger and finishes off one of the sleeping wolves
I always forget cou de gra rules
| DM Rickmeister |
Tiasar, your color spray is on round 1, so your coup de grace will be next turn(s).
For round 2: CDG = score automatic crit, roll the damage and then it gets to make a fort save (DC10 +your damage).

for last night
These questions that my good friend Horatius is about to ask are very important to me as well. We need information and you are the smartest, bravest, and best goblin I know. You are probably the only one that can really help us. And I promise to always help you the best I can.
any bonuses for being the one that healed them?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
After our discussion I would set my time to keeping the fires built and ensure that we have no inturders.
Andre moves up to get a better look at the wolf that tripped Yukie and fires a flame bolt
ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Tiasar

Sorry for posting so quick, but I'll be completely unavailable tonight because I'm performing Chicago. my next few rounds will be trying to finish off the wolves I knocked out.
Damage 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -11d4 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 11d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 01d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
yaay me and my 7 strength lol. well that's 2 damage on each one. my dagger attacks are essentially a 1 unless i roll max
| DM Rickmeister |
Some things require a diplomacy check. Since Horatius will be asking the questions, I figure it's fair for him to roll the check. I will let Andre assist all occasions (he automatically succeeds at DC 10 for aid another). If you wish to ask questions Andre, I will roll for you.
Oh, and you got a re-roll for the offering of food! ;)
"You spoke for your people when Mistress Yukie asked questions. You are their little boss correct? I have a few questions but only someone important to the tribe would be able to answer them so tell me Kackii are you an important leader in your tribe?"
>> "Of course Kaekii is boss! Kaekii strongerer than Ruak! Strongererer than Stokko! Stupid Stokko, not know he stupid!"
"I had thought so. What was your clan doing when they were captured?"
>> "We was waitingz! We waitz for orduhrs... ordu.. other men to say, where we be go to! But other other men come, and now we was here!"
"Was this a task given to you by your big boss? It sounds like you served him well and yet he left you?"
>> "What does men think? He no left! He come back, me thinks! But maybe, maybe not. Maybe he dead. Is cold, he maybe dead. So now we go to new boss, yes?"
"What can you tell me about this boss?
>> "Was big manz! Strong mans, with big strong knife! And two eyes! And ears! Haha, but not goblin nose!"
"What do you know of the Winter Witches?"
"What of the stilyagi?"
>> "Witches strong, like mistress with tiger! Bad but good magic! Like witches, they love goblinses like usses! Stily..stial.. Me finks ies human mens who is like goblins. They is wanting to do their own thing! But not strong like witches, coz they is not witches.. Yes?"
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 = 6
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 2 = 15
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 2 = 21

Andre draws a picture of the Shadow Lodge symbol
Have you heard of the Shadow Lodge?
1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12
If you know of the Shadow Lodge do you know if they have connections with the stilyag?
1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 = 18
Do you know the name of you big boss and is he associated with either the stilyag or the Shadow Lodge
1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12
| DM Rickmeister |
Horatius, Yuki, Andre, you're up!
Jory misses the wolf.
Halorn Zakok
|
It looks like Andre is listed twice. I think Halorn replaces Andre in the second group.
Halorn looks to be deciding what to do. It's as if there are other people who need to proceed before he can decide what to do...
Horatius Lartius
|
Sorry guys, was refreshing page 6 for most of the day..doh
Horatius sits back a bit trying to decipher the goblins rambling answers while Andre continues to question him. Seeing the skill with which Andre speaks Horatius lets him take the lead.
Turning to Andre he says "Kaekil mentioned they were waiting for orders perhaps he knows whose orders they awaited? We should also see if he knew what other humans called their boss."
Horatius will take the supporting roll on questioning. Five assists coming up (3 for Andres questions and two for mine) :
Q1 :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Q2 :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Q3 :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Q4 :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Q5 :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Horatius draws his sword and steps towards the closest active wolf bringing down his blade.
Attacking the nearest wolf, with a preference for the one threatening Yukie if it's still up.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 3) + 4 = 9
Yukie
|
Aiko needs no signal: she would protect her mistress' (or friend, as Yukie would put it) life as if it were her own. The hungry wolf has only scratched the woman, but it picked the wrong target, and the tiger lunges towards the smaller animal, intent on paying that wound back tenfold.
Yukie's actions pending, depending on whether or not the wolf remains standing after this.
Aiko:
Full attack on Wolf #3!
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
CRIT CONFIRMATION: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Bite damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Potential crit damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Claw 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Claw 1 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Claw 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Claw 2 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Yukie
|
Between Aiko and Horatius, I'll assume the wolf is down.
No longer threatened by the starving wolf, the tian sorceress gets up from the snow, still looking somewhat shaken. She notices the two sleeping wolves remaining, meaning they're not quite safe yet. She speaks words of power in her native tongue, and her fingers glow blue from the energy of a spell intended to hopefully finish one of them off, if her companions don't first.
Standard: Ready action -> Ray of Frost to one of the sleeping wolves as soon as it wakes up.
Halorn Zakok
|
Halorn grabs his weapon and stands up. Since the wolves seem to be somewhat under control, he continues to equip himself.
If the wolf near Yukie is still up, Halorn commands his horse to attack it. Otherwise, he commands his mount to "heel" and his mount follows him.
Handle Animal (Free Action, DC 10): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage (Bite): 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
| DM Rickmeister |
Yup, made an error in the initiative.
Won't continue ini order now, someone will slice their throats/ crush their skulls right?
Horatius Lartius
|
Horatius walks to each stunned wolf in turn and drives his sword down into them. Each precise killing blow is accompanied by a brief quiet prayer to Erastil. A sense of sad necessity sits on his face as he goes about the bloody business.
"Erastil shepard these creatures, driven by hunger to conflict. Give them the peace and order of your realm."
Yukie
|
Once it's clear that the camp is truly safe for now, Yukie strokes her tiger's fur, while the animal goes about licking the blood off of its own fur and Yukie's clothes. "You did well."
She waits for Horatius to finish before turning her attention to him. "And you have my thanks. This land must truly be harsh if their hunger drove them to us."
With things back to normal, she quickly eats a portion of her daily rations, while making sure the goblins are similarly energized for the march ahead (and hoping they've internalized the message about begging for seconds). With some free time during the morning preparations, she takes a moment to magically repair the tear in her winter clothes left by the wolf, and apply what she tells goblins is her "war paint".
Horatius Lartius
|
What are the traveling conditions like?
Horatius helps break down the camp after eating his morning meal. When the group is ready to head out he takes his accustomed place flanking the group of goblins.
Jory Redcap
|
Jory awakes and helps get the group moving. Goblins and wolves make for an interesting time. Still Jory felt more threatened at the Pathfinder Ball than out in the wild. Luckily he had dressed in the brightest colored velvet tuxedo he could find, or the Pathfinder Ball would have been more awkward. The snubbing by the Silver Crusade was still fresh in his mind.
Jory often wondered what would have happened if he joined the Silver Crusade.
Halorn Zakok
|
Halorn makes sure his mount can begin feeding and drinking. As his faithful mount feeds, he breaks down camp and begins putting on his armor and weapons, followed by his cold weather gear and snowshoes. He counts the goblins and notices that they appear to be all present.
Despite the evening interruption, Halorn feels well rested and looks forward to making good progress during a full day's march. Once the party is ready, he climbs his mount and says, "Let's get rollin'. The day ain't gettin' any younger..."
| DM Rickmeister |
After half a day's journey you see a little worse-for-wear sign saying "Harvest's End".
The village of Harvest’s End is a quiet place. Traveling merchants in colorful garb are easily distinguished from the locals, who dress in woolen clothes of drab browns, greens, and grays. There are no sounds of laughter or play here. Fishermen put their catch out for display, while others congregate in small groups and whispered conversations. Smoke rises from the chimneys of uniform but wellconstructed buildings, most of which are surrounded by small white picket fences.
The goblins have been dragging their feet some, complaining from time to time:
"Hunga! HUNGA!"
"Belly goes brrrrrrr"
"Hunga..."
"Food pliez?"
"Why horse and taiga get more food? More goblins than taigas?"
Horatius Lartius
|
"We will need to be careful here. A town in this frozen land is certainly a welcome sight but we're still in Irrisen and I have heard that the White Witches watch their people closely. It is good to see merchants about but I suspect we will neither blend with them nor the locals."
Looking over his shoulder at the goblins he adds,
"As for our prisoners, perhaps some of us should remain outside of town with them while the rest seek information about a way to cross the river?"
| DM Rickmeister |
@Andre
"Goblin are civlizered!
Goblin wear clothes!
Eekie, put pants on!"
@ Morde
"Birdie speak?
BIRDIE SPEAK!
Birdie taste like chicken, yes?
Birdie, you are chicken?
Birdie, you wanna lief in sto...tummy?"
Yukie
|
"Why, thank you. This sounds like a fine plan, then." And a chance to take my mind off the goblins for a moment, too. She looks at them, rather amused at the sight of their reaction to Morde.
| DM Rickmeister |
"Goblins come too!"
"Why us not go to town?"
"I wonna see!"
"Maybe chickens? In Town?"
"WONNA GO!"
"Not fair!"
"Is warmer there!"
"We act good.. We no mishabeve!
Pries Mistrus?"
The one with the cutest face drops his own charisma bomb, assisted by the others. ;)
| DM Rickmeister |
"Pointy ears smells funny!"
"He loooo-ooong!"
"Chicken!"
At least say something IC when posting in "game-play" Tiasar ;)
Halorn Zakok
|
Halorn nods his head in the direction of the goblins and says, "If you two are comfortable enough with watchin' 'em" He looks over to the rest of the party, "Let's get rollin' into town and see what the locals can tell us about the road ahead."
Halorn hands off the rope to one of the goblin guards and rids into town with the remainder of the party.
Yukie
|
Why must creatures that hate dogs so much be able to muster such puppy eyes?! "...Maybe once we return, though I cannot promise anything. We won't be long." Yukie realizes, almost immediately, that she probably shouldn't have said that.
She also realizes that the presence of a tiger might attract unwanted attention, and orders Aiko to "protect" Horatius while they're gone. And then she's off, joining Halorn and the others to visit the town.
Jory Redcap
|
Jory nods and leads the way as he chats with Yukie, "I watch and you talk. If they are dishonest, I will know."
Although Jory could not influence people favorably, he was a good poker player.
Perception/Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 171d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Jory was in rare form, reading intentions from both what was said, not said, and body language.
Yukie
|
"Perfect, then." Yukie smiles to the dwarf. "I am sometimes blind to falsehoods, I admit. My grandmother once said that silence conceals wisdom."
She considers Andre's idea. "This could help ease their morale, as I doubt we will let them visit the town. Hopefully this will not lead them to act more spoiled than they already do." Her tone betrays some frustration with them, which should not come as much of a surprise, but she'd been careful to conceal it while the goblins were around (her display from the previous evening aside).
They arrive into town, and Yukie does most of the talking. She inquires for the most part about the road ahead, the weather, and what they can be expected to encounter on the way to Trollheim, in particular if they may run into more of the goblin tribe they previously fought. Team: please tell me if I'm forgetting something!
Diplomacy (Gather info): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
She is courteous enough, but perhaps something about her obviously foreign behavior and the strange group of travellers is off-putting to the town's residents.
Maybe an Aid Another or two is in order? But at least this should be enough for basic info.
Jory Redcap
|
Jory watched Yukie with the townsfolk, but he didn't want to say anything. He thinks back to his first pathfinder mission where he and a dwarf barbarian were thrown out of an orphanage trying to help children. Speaking was not his strong point. He nods at what he thinks are the appropriate moments, and wrinkles his forehead to give the impression he is deep in thought.
Do goblins really like chicken? is all that runs through his mind.
