Seeing his blaster pistol Oslo watches the robot woman carefully. He wished that there was more than a small window between him and her, perhaps he could have motioned to her. If he had that weapon, things would be very interesting...
He watches yet more action unfold, there was a motion at towards his cell and the one across that the way... "That cannot be good."
Then the entire group is moving off towards the cell to his right and an eyestock peers out of the small window. Six individuals are looking into the cell for some reason that he cannot yet make out. "Damnable world languages that just do not translate." Oslo knew a galactic common tongue within the Dragon Empire... apparently he was no where near there now.

I really appreciate your spoilered status. I am going to start doing this with my characters in the future. Thank you!

GM Gristle |

You construct the hand-cranked charger with no problem, but the lack of alkali doesn't allow it to hold a charge.
You construct everything necessary for a crude hand crossbow, except that you realize that you need mor flexible strip of metal for the tension bar and the trigger won't lock into place. It has to be held, making it a two hand weapon.
You find nothing mechanically wrong with the pistol, in fact it is one of the best-constructed items that you have ever seen. there are no seems, It appears that the weapon was cast as one part. You do recognize a cylindrical hole in the bottom of the handle that is perhaps for some type of ammunition.
Your captors do not believe that you are capable of independent thought, so you are left with the tools in case they ask you to craft other things.

GM Gristle |

First and foremost, your characters are the (anti-)Heroes of the campaign that I am entertaining myself with currently, I will do my best to keep everyone engaged and alive, if for no other reason than to keep the story going.
I like to keep things realistic and challenging. It may seem impossible at times to do something, but the right set of circumstances can be created.
You have all built some pretty bad-a** characters. The CR is over what it should be at times and at others not so much. The lack of communication is tough, but a flavorful challenge that your characters will eventually overcome I am sure.
Mechanically, Dashuun is the best rogue that I have ever seen, especially with the vanishing at first level.
Besides, if your captors wanted you dead, you would be already. I encourage you to execute whatever strategy you feel is best. This thing could be a mega-broohaha or a simple vanishing act? Who knows. May the dice be with you!

Hexin uses her blue circle amulet to quickly open Dashuun's cell. She places it upon the blue circular rune on the middle gear of the door and the other four quickly rotate their cogs to open the door with a solid metal clink. The guards are ready with their clubs handy and Hexin has drawn her glistening shortsword for good measure.

LJ 447-LADY1 |

LADY begins to study the gun to see its basic function and design and than see if it has its own internal power that she may be able to adapt.
Knowledge(Engineering)1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Hopefully it yields something useful and i can adapt it

GM Gristle |

A guard and Hexin enter the cell and begin kicking through the detritis littering the cell floor, mostly hay. A guard taps something with his foot and is seriously confused as he cannot see it.
Ise sfink I pfouwnd im.
Ilk gev em a swiffd keck.

GM Gristle |

Guard attacks the invisible lump with a swift kick.
Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage:1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

GM Gristle |

The guard's hard-heeled riding boot moves swiftly over Dashuun's head as he inteads to give him a good kick.
Despite map, guard is adjacent to you while hexin reamins just inside the cell door, which is currently wide open.

GM Gristle |

The hand crank emits sparks, but doesn't seem to have any effect on the pistol whatsoever.

Dashuun |

Dashuun slams the door closed with the 3 of them inside.
Move action, does not provoke.
Not sure how initiative is at the moment, but if you'll permit me...
He then licks his teeth and, breaking invisibility, leaps at Hexin's neck.
Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24, Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (1) = 4 Hexin is denied her Dex to AC. On hit, she begins taking 1d2 Dex damage each turn at the beginning of her turn (Fort DC 13, 1 save).

Oslosuenus |

Hearing the commotion Oslo peers towards the guards managing to see one of his fellow prisoners jump on the one referred to as Hexin. The Uldnor sees this as a possible opening. He concentrates on a close guard sliding his pseudopod just at the window and releases his divine power hoping to instil fear in his foe, "Oostalic, Nok!"
Cast Cause Fear (will save dc14) on nearest foe to Dash that Oslo can see

LJ 447-LADY1 |

GM Gristle |

You cannot open the gun because it is all one piece of metal. No connectable parts.

LJ 447-LADY1 |

Well Damn

GM Gristle |

Dashuun's surprise attack works as Hexin reaches for herneck in pain. During the attack, the blue amulet has broken loose and fallen to the floor.
The guard flanking the staggering Hexin sees the "lizard" and attacks with his club.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

GM Gristle |

Hexin begins to slow, seemingly disoriented, she looks around for her amulet, paying no heed to the lizard.
The guard's club strikes true, but his natural armor absorbs the attack as he shakes it off.
The guards outside are trying furiously to open the four locks upon the door.
One guard has grabbed the large hand-held cannon and is loading it with some sort of crystal cartridge that he has retreived from a pouch that he is wearing.

GM Gristle |

Oslo casts a spell at the guard outside his cell.
Gurad at F13 Will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Dashuun |

1 - Moving through an enemy square via acro usually requires a -5 penalty to the check, and failure means stopping in front of them & provoking. Are you changing something about those rules?
2 - Worthy of note, my cell should be in conditions of dim light. That means every attack has a 50% miss chance, unless the enemies have darkvision.
Dashuun lunges for the blue amulet, attempting to dodge the incoming assault.
Standard action Total Defense (AC 19 now), move action grab amulet (provokes).

GM Gristle |

GM Gristle |

Hexin feels the mass of the monster lunge for the amulet behind her feet and swings the short sword at it.
Attack:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

GM Gristle |

Yes, I remember the 50% chance miss, that is why you didn't just get sliced open. Once outside the cell, the lab is well-lit.

GM Gristle |

In the dim light, Hexin misses her slash and the lizard creature performs a perfect forward roll, amulet in hand and free of his cell to the disbelief of Bo'Tha and the other two guards.
Bring Bartok to the floor!, Bo'Tha yells.

GM Gristle |

Hearing another cell open, the guards and Bo'Tha peer around frantically, distracting them from the immediate position of the lizard creature.

GM Gristle |

Disregard the 5 times per day. I got it confused with 5 rounds for invisiblity. You can vanish at will.

LJ 447-LADY1 |

"Is everything okay out there...I looked at the weapon and it is missing a primary component for its use"

Dashuun |

Dashuun escapes his cell and promptly vanishes, disappearing from view. A short time later, if anyone could see invisibility, they would see a stealthy Alleydrake imitating the motions of Hexin with the blue amulet at the door of the raging beast from the previous day.
Attempting to vanish and then set Malatok free.

GM Gristle |

Dashuun goes unnoticed as the chaos ensues. Three guards Hexin and Bo'Tha are scrambling trying to find the lizard creature as they witness the cell door of the blue-skinned "jungle orc" fly open after making a loud clank.
Will update map tomorrow after Malatok posts his move action. To bed for the evening.

![]() |

Malatok takes a step out of his cage, takes a deep nasally breath, and turns to his captors with blood shooting into his eyes in rage. He charges the closest guard with hellish fury.
Freeeeeedoooommmmmmm!

LJ 447-LADY1 |

"could some one get me out please...." she asks as she looks at the door quizically

GM Gristle |

Seeing the "jungle orc" enraged and charging kicks in an adrenaline rush within the guards driving them to meet him, with clubs drawn. Bo'tha covers Hexin as she rushes to secure the western doors and then frantically searches for the lizard, sword drawn.

GM Gristle |

I will let Dashuun move to release Ashleaf and immediately after Ashleaf is released, I will role initiative to keep an order to things.
